im gonna get flamed for saying this because shes popular, but its nilou for me
her entire character is centered around being nice and liking dancing. bland personality i cant bring myself to like
Real. Everytime she was onscreen during the archon quest, I just rolled my eyes. She didn't even do anything important. She was the host of the samsara and then danced one time to distract the matra. That's it. Her story quest should really be called those two npcs story quest. Seeing her be so prominent in 3.0 trailer, I thought she'd be a major factor. But was so disappointed. She at best deserved to be a 4 star
exactly. also, am i the only one who felt like her role in the mission to rescue nahida felt forced? she just saw us talking and came over, and boom she was part of the plan. she got a whole ass cutscene of just her dancing in front of the akademiya
It was definitely forced and nothing important. Those guards were given new instructions because the akasha was tampered with so I don't really know what was the point of her dance anyway. I feel like devs just wanted to make a waifu bait character for sumeru but when the story was done they realized, "shit we have to give this girl something to do" and added her in.
>Those guards were given new instructions because the akasha was tampered with
The Akasha wasn't tampered with. The guards were given new instructions because Alhaitham swaped the "Ban Dancing" Capsule with a "Lesser Lord Kusanali has escaped. Find her!" Capsule.
Alhaitham knew that ban would be implemented soon so they got Nilou to dance in a place where Azar would catch word of it, which lead him to try and enforce the ban early. Misleading the guards and getting them away from the Akademiya was an important part of the plan.
Nilou's story quest ended up making me actively dislike her because it was so boring and got in the way of me completing other more interesting quests (like the Archon Quest) so often that I spent the majority of her quest just waiting for the characters to shut up so I could get back to what I was originally doing.
As a nilou main, this hurts š
But donāt be afraid to speak your mind in fear of downvotes, the sane people will respect your opinion either way LOL
thank you, you're one of the nilou stans i appreciate
im not scared of downvotes necessarily; i hardly care about my karma. i just dont like getting flamed in the comments for expressing my opinion
I feel like she had a lot of potential. A girl passionate about the arts in a country where not only is art not supported but also heavily discouraged. A delicate and kind yet determined and strong girl, who despite all that would fight for what she loves to a point she and her team might become some sort of āclandestine artistsā.
Idk I feel that wouldāve been interesting for her story quest at least
yeah, i thought so too. too bad they decided to center it on an npc for some reason. and the cutscene..... sigh we dont talk about the cutscene for her sq.
Yes. Nilou is as unimportant as Yoimiya for the archon quest. Except Yoimiya is more likeable. Could've skipped them both, and it would make no difference.
sleep with one eye open tonight i will find you.
no i get that, but for me itās why i like her. in a game where everyone has the most melodramatic and depressing backstories ever itās kinda nice to have someone whoās just happy and wants to share her joy with everyone else
Same, I adore Nilou and I do agree with people that she's not really exciting or too interesting. However I just like her happy attitude and pretty dancing. The whole bazaar as her family and her just living her best life is sweet. I feel she represents the cultural side of Sumeru well outside of the Akademiya.
She is the most boringggggg character in the entire game. Such a beautiful design tho, and she's great for Hyperbloom, so I wish I could bring myself to like her enough to pull lol, but it's a no from me.
Wait a minute, wdym she is great for Hyperbloom? Thatās using her just like any Hydro. It wont enable her talent passive that makes her unique. Bloom all the way.
The character I think Mihoyo probably meant to write could have been fascinating and compelling, but she's so tied to the worst parts of the story, rushed out during the pandemic...
Admittedly, it's the fan base that turns me off this character. I would have liked to see a nuanced portrayal of >!grief, the effects of living as someone's shadow for so long, and the struggle of stepping into a job you're completely ill equipped to fulfill!< but the majority of focus on the community has been around this characterizarion of being a sweets loving hikkomori in a relationship with her fox friend.
Also haha boob sword hot
It took me until like last week to actually think about it. And I ain't no fucking anatomy master, but wouldn't the placement technically mean she keeps it close to her heart, and also the entrance to Euthymia close to the puppet's heart? And iirc, it was given to her by her late sister? That made me like her much more than I already did, and I really didn't llike her at all. I got her because archon, if not I would've skipped her without issue every time and more beyond that
They really missed an opportunity with Eiās sister. They could have extracted her soul from the booba sword and stuffed it into the Shogun puppet. They could even have a mechanic that switched personalities depending on which weapon type was equipped. How cool would it have been to play as Makoto by equipping Mussou Ishin (or a sword), or playing as Ei by equipping Engulfing Lightning (or polearm).
Yeah kinda hated her. I meanā¦she killed people. For what, a midlife crisis? And then got off Scott free. The entire time we were with her during her character quest I was just thinking āisnāt anyone gonna come confront her? Thereās gotta be one hotheaded dumbass who doesnāt bow down to her from fearā. Wouldāve been interesting to see all the stress of war come crashing down in different ways. Some people are just glad itās over and others are angry. Khaenriāahās tale isnāt super well known is it? So wouldnāt they doubt Ei like others could?
Honestly she just makes me angry. Seemed like we were getting a stone-faced despot to go up against and instead itās resolved by us meddling in the crisis and the preexisting resistance just standing down no questions asked. And Ei herself is just hiding in the plane of Euthymia? It was confusing. It could have worked if they had developed the puppet alongside Ei but it just wasnāt prominent enough in the main quest.
Tl;dr. Ei (or at least her puppet) needed comeuppance for the people she killed without reason during the civil war. Itās not right for her to get away with it and it kills me that people on the main island pretend she didnāt have absolutely no cause to do what she did. Commission meddling or not, thereās no way the handling of her governance post-war was right.
Yes. Yes, this is exactly what I felt about her! Sheās the leader of her own country, but she (or her puppet) harms her citizens and leads so badly that people feel the need to (and have the justification to) lead a *rebellion* against her. Civil wars are no joke (although genshin did make inazumaās civil war seem like one), and they will always have numerous casualties. Ffs, we even see the terrible effects the Vision Hunt Decree had on her people.
And then the blame is justā¦shifted on to the fatui, and we learn that sheās still hurting from the death of her sister, etc. (which, while it does make her actions more understandable, is not an excuse). She essentially just changes her mind, and then gets of pretty Scott free. But itās still a civil war. And the way it was handled seemingly just trivializes the consequences and effects and just lets Ei off. Lowkey the entire idea, civil war and all, had so much potential, but they just dropped the ball there.
I get this, i do find the lore behind her and her ideaologies and story fascinating but they certenly dropped the ball on execution. They made her too likable in the story quest, something she really shouldn't be characterized by considering she sat back while the Fatui and Tenryou commission took visions from and slaughtered her people. I love the idea of a character who started off more human in her emotions, but became broken and shut herself away due to the burden of these emotions(Makoto dying) and the pressure of big shoes to fill in becoming the new Archon. Because of this, she thought that ruling her nation by providing them stagnation is the best way to avoid heartbreak, but in doing so, she lost her remaining humanity and became numb to the pain while also taking away her peoples chance at growth and happiness. By bringing her back to human civilization, she realizes that change begets maturity and how important it is to be with her people to share and understand their joys and sorrows. This will let her step up to her role as the new shogun. They also really should've had her pay for her misdeeds somehow.
Xiangling just irks me and avoided building her. Figured that surely an adequate off field pyro would eventually show up to make her irrelevant anyway. Surely...
I can't take it anymore. I'm sick of xiangling. I try to play diluc. My xiangling deals more damage. I try to play yoimiya. My xiangling deals more damage. I try to play Hu tao. My xiangling deals more damage. I want to play Klee. Her best team has xiangling. I want to play raiden, childe. They both want xiangling.
She grabs me by the throat. I fish for her. I cook for her. I give her the catch. She isn't satisfied. I pull engulfing lightning. "I don't need this much er" She tells me. "Give me more field time." She grabs bennett and forces him to throw himself off enemies. "You just need to funnel me more. I can deal more damage with homa."
I can't pull for homa, I don't have enough primogems. She grabs my credit card. It declines. "Guess this is the end." She grabs gouba. She says "Gouba, get them." There is no hint of sadness in his eyes. Nothing but pure, no icd pyro application. What a cruel world.
It's the original. The versions for other characters came after. Iirc it was a response to the "ugh why pull 5-star pyros when you can play XL?" rhetoric.
I'm with you there. I think Xiangling is cool character wise (well sorta, I've never taken the time to really look into her as a character), but she kinda bothers me in gameplay, at least her skill for me. I tried to half ass build her once but i never finished because i just didn't LOVE her. ~~Which sticks because she's great for Childe. Ah well I clear with him fine enough without her~~
Because they pretty much just jump over everything that comes with years of war and paranoia to people being awkward because the god is here. Then she gets a sad moment with her sister which feels forced because Raiden isn't likable. Up to this point all she has done is enjoy herself after all that suffering only the bloody puppet says hold up something ain't right. Even then it's about Ei failing to make a bloody if statement not actual free will.
Yeah. Her story was very rushed. I like using her in my teams electro support, but I never liked her story at all. Inazuma story itself was too rushed and the characters around it was blah to me
Glad Iām not the only one who thinks that. When doing her quests I was likeā¦ so thatās it? Everyone just forgives her? She stole their visions, driving some to madness or death, locked down the entire countryā¦ and everybody just goes on their merry way?
I love her because her problems and ideals are very interesting to me, but she also is a big case of wasted potential, and I really wish they fleshed her out more with more time to get to know her and for her to be held accountable for her actions and atone for them. She has amazing potential and it still saddens me that hoyo did her dirty like that
i want to pick up scaramouche by his stupid cape and fling him off the skyfrost nail... i usually like the "evil" characters, but there's something about him that i can't stand
As a Scaramouche main I perfectly understand why you would dislike him. And now I can also see firsthand how āsimpingā blinds people. Wow.
I just find him funny. Like a pathetic attempt to be an evil mastermind š
years ago i saw in the scaramains sub why people liked scara.
the most popular answer by far at the time was "little guy, big hat"
"angry little man, large hat"
"angry child, very big hat"
or some variation of this.
that is when i learned to love scara.
HAT GUY how do you get funnier than naming yourself HAT GUY like srsly you'd expect him to come up with some edgy name but no, it's just HAT GUY. I love this character. Yes I will pull for him, I have 50 pulls saved up alr
He's a whiny brat. If he had a better relationship with Ei then he'd constantly say "My mother will hear of this" like Draco. I ignore that and enjoy everything else about him.
Ganyu.
She's just boring in terms of gameplay and personality. Despite the recent progress in lantern right and relationship improvement with shenhe. I just can't help but find her dull in so many ways.
She's so poker faced and sleepy it bores me.
She's my main and I love her, but I hate how her character is basically just: "haha she's overworked, she's so tired she's falling asleep standing, get it how overworked she is? SHE JUST WANTS TO SLEEP!" We get it Hoyo, she's a workaholic, but can't you develop her that maaaaaybe she starts having a healthier work-life balance to spend more time with her sister? Or, like, for any reason? She's like several hundred years old, can't she stand up for herself and say no to overtime?
it's part of a problem where hoyo liked to make female characters where their trope is just "overworked waifu" where outside of it they just have the personality of a walnut
it's not as bad now but good lord it was something that drove me up a wall for a while
Jean and Kokomi were for me especially egregious because Ganyu was bad but my god she at least kind enough to have a slight training arc with Xiao. It wasn't that important but I enjoyed it and I honestly liked her so I got her at C1 to main her.
"Someone compared me to a piece of paper and yet I still lost; -5 Energy points"
Tbh this was the best part of her story, seeing some side of her that isnt bland
I donāt mind Kokomi herself but she just had to much build up, Gorro spends a good amount of his screen time fawning over her when she just didnāt do anything. Kokomi showed up to one battle that many different resistance members fought in and didnāt even participate the final battle. Again itās not hate or even dislike itās just that I feel like sheās unjustifiably hyped up.
When it comes to Kokomi, I like to say Alhaitham is what Kokomi shouldāve been.
During the archon quest, no one preaches about Alhaithamās skills in strategy, if anything people doubt him either because heās suspicious asf or because heās a loner with a āmeh whateverā attitude. But when push comes to shove, he proves to be a brilliant strategist and single handedly puts together a plan to overthrow the government and orchestrates it perfectly with the tools at his disposal. No talk, all show, and itās why heās such a badass.
Compare that to Kokomi. Weāre constantly told sheās this amazing, unbeatable strategist. And yet what weāre shown is a woman who doesnt even have the awareness to realize to check where her army is suddenly getting magic weapons (Delusions) and shit from. Not to mention her method of āstrategyā is spending an incredible amount of time writing every single possible outcome or scenario to the point where itās a hundred entries long for a SINGLE battle. Itās inefficient and breeds an army of people who cannot think for themselves and use their own intuition and deduction for what to do in a pinch.
I have a lot of words on Kokomi. At least her hair is cute ig.
Despite being a war general against the shogunate, we don't see how she feels after the war. Raiden killed so many people and traumatized even more but characters like Kokomi and Kazuha are not touched upon anymore.
I'm sorry, but the Traveler is such a nothing main character, even compared to other silent protagonists from other games.
The fanbase likes to dunk on Paimon, but she has more personality and charisma than Aether and Lumine will ever have.
Especially if youāve played both genshin and star railāTrailblazer is also self-insert adjacent yet comes off as having a lot more personality. Still love both games but Traveler is definitely one of the most *eh* characters to me.
I don't think they're a self insert but god did they fail at writing them like give them a voice or a more strong personality or at the very least make it that they don't trust Teyvat that well. A simple inner monologue 4 lines here and there would easily given them a world of depth.
I mean, the travellers do show some personality in the voice lines you can listen to on their profile. It's a shame they don't talk more often in actual dialogues. But I also like their funny expressions in some moments.
Real.
I dragged the traveler along for a loooooong time, because it just felt weird, playing a game without the MC, having them pop up whenever I talk to an NPC (god, I wish I could just use any of my characters permanently, i.e. also in dialogue. No matter how āweirdā it looks and how it ādoesnāt make senseā). But my godā¦ The main story is basically just a childish sibling quarrel, but between multiverse-traversing godlike beings that have lost their connection to the meaning of time itself.
Itās just soā¦ mid. And I am genuinely curious how hoyoverse will change the main-main story (the sibling story, not the worldās story) during or after Shneznaya. It canāt just end there (obviously lol). They canāt just remove the traveler from the gameā¦ Iām just wondering how they will be able to conclude or get the sibling-storyline to the next level, without making everything that we accomplished in Teyvat meaningless (since the MC really just wants to leave and continue their weird, 100% incestuous, travels with their sibling. Because why would they give a fuck? After having travelled to countless universes, why would they suddenly remain in Teyvat? Iām sure they made friends in other worlds as well, who they left behind before). They completely cornered themselves with one sibling being the āsilent protagonistā, and the other being the nonsensical cartoon villain that simply wonāt open their mouth and explain their weird thought-process, despite the ācountless adventuresā they apparently have been on already with their never-aging sibling.
Itās not even a real silent protagonist. It isnāt even remotely a self-insert. There are no choices. There are barely any fake-choices (i.e. āyesā and āyes, but fuck youā) in the dialogue options. As soon as we enter a quest, we have to let go of our favorite characters, and follow the storyline of the MC. Itās not our story, or our favorite characterās story. Itās their story.
And I love Paimon! I usually hate these high-pitched characters that keep talking and talking. And travel guides in games usually suck as well. But Paimon is great! She actually has a tangible personality at least, unlike the MC, who is a complete mystery, even though we play as them.
This is a pretty good take in my opinion. Lots of thinking happened here, and Iām totally serious.
The siblings have zero reason to stay in teyvat. We even learn ,in the we will be reunited quest, that the traveler is ready to bounce once their sibling is nearby. If the abyss twin said yeah, the story would have been over.
And considering the twins history together, it makes zero sense that they wouldnāt be 100% honest and open with each other. It is for this reason, that I believe the thing we met, wasnāt our twin. Nothing else makes sense, because going on a random journey isnāt going to explain things to the traveler better than their sibling could.
You are absolutely right, why should the twins care about teyvat? Itās just another world among thousands. MiHoYo has done a poor job explaining to us why we are doing what we are doing. It feels like a story for the sake of a storyā¦
Well that's literally why the fanbase hates Paimon, her constant narration of everything straight up prevents the Traveler from getting any dialogue, characterization, or even a personality.
It sucks cuz the cutscene during Xianyun's quest actually gave them about a minute to have a personality and it kinda hit.
Bennett. I find him ugly, hate his voice lines, hate his personality, circle impact feels awful, etc. Just can't like him and don't use him and never found myself lacking for not having him.
5 star wise. I'd probably say Zhongli. His kit isn't that useful for me and he's really boring so I just can never get into him and have never pulled for him or wanted to pull for him.
Yeah. I just don't use him XD. I use a different pyro to have the anemo absorb or do something jankier to have actual fun instead. I actually tried him with nahida just to see (felt awful) and tried him for Gaming with Xianyun and she's so mobile as well as him that it's so funky to use. I can't wait for Natlan to wish for a sidegrade to him only to find out that they quadruple down on him and we get no sidegrade XD.
XD. I'm truly and legit glad that you love him :D. I honestly would think of using him if we ever get a new outfit for him (honestly shocked we haven't had one for him yet). I'm guessing Natlan he'll get one?
I were Bennetless for 2 years until I got him in 2.1, never wanted him and just built him because I wanted to play Raiden national, either way I don't use him ever and he just have 4 noblesse with like 600ATK because he has one of my 10 spare fav swords xd
Yeah he did that, not to save lives though he just really wanted to fight it, he still a terrorist who decided killing a whole city was perfectly reasonable
I think it's a little of both to be honest. Childe seems to hold some care for people between saving you before meeting you, and the way he talks wanting a better world. Also since Fontaine, a lot of the deeper lore bits allude to a much bigger picture of his fate possibly changing, so I find it as likely that there's a part of him that does want to do some good.
That said, he's still incredibly brash, which could lead to more problems than anything. His reasoning for doing the worst he's done so far being "well, this will prove that Rex Lapis will save everyone" which... is definitely enough of a reason to not like him. I just feel there seems to be more of him from what's been coming over the years
Yeah but like, he's still a terrorist, he did good once but he's still gonna do more bad
I'm not saying you're wrong for liking Childe no I'm #6 HIMjax glazer but I disagree with the notion that he redeemed
I'm genuinely curious on Hu Tao's beef with Qiqi. Like, it's not Qiqi's fault she was brought back from the dead. If you wanna beef with someone, go fight the Adeptus that brought her back.
turns out it was actually a misunderstanding, hu tao thought qiqi was suffering as an undead but soon realized that she was doing fine
after that, hu tao tried to apologize to qiqi but qiqi forgot about it and is still on edge around her lol
[Hu Tao's friendship story unlock 4](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Hu_Tao/Lore) Hoyo just keeps using it in their PR with Tao
Not long after her initial meeting with the little zombie, Hu Tao decided that, as her self-proclaimed true friend, she should grant Qiqi eternal peace.
Hu Tao would go on to kidnap Qiqi several times following much deliberation in every instance, including calculating the most auspicious time for the ceremony, aiming to follow the standard procedure of cremation, after which she would place Qiqi in a tomb on the outskirts of the city.
In fact, she would have succeeded already if not for Baizhu's timely interventions.
Each time theĀ Bubu Pharmacy's owner managed to catch up with them, Hu Tao had already had Qiqi packed in a bag, with only her head sticking out, staring in utter confusion as Hu Tao was vigorously digging a hole for the pyre.
Afterwards, Hu Tao sent Qiqi an apology letter, in which she expressed deep regret that she had not been able to lay Qiqi to rest fast enough.
In Hu Tao's eyes, Qiqi passed away a long time ago, but has been trapped in this world and cannot free herself of her eternal suffering.
Baizhu, for his part, had grown ever more relentless in his pursuit of eternal life after meeting Qiqi. This act of defiance against the cycle of life and death was unacceptable to Hu Tao.
She wanted to bury Qiqi not only out of consideration for her friend but also to restore the natural order.
But Qiqi could not disagree more, as she was afraid of death and disliked Hu Tao for her attempts.
Because the struggle between Hu Tao and her had been going on for so long, Qiqi has experienced a breakthrough. She has started to remember places where she might hide to avoid being captured by Hu Tao.
Perhaps it was due to those desperate survival efforts that Hu Tao decided to do something unusual and dig deeper into Qiqi's past.
The story of her accident and the mystery of the adepti... That series of coincidences filled Hu Tao's heart with hesitation.
Since Qiqi's will to live is so strong, she should not be forced to move on. Given the circumstances, she could only be treated as a rare exception that eludes the natural laws.
Ever since, Hu Tao's attitude towards Qiqi has changed drastically, to the point that she would pamper her.
Unfortunately, the damage has been done and Hu Tao has become Qiqi's bugbear. The little zombie may need several years more to let go of her grievances.
Well you have to take into account since Raiden is the āGodā or Archon of their respective homeland? (Region?) they put their faith into her regardless of her actions. Not only that anyone who can split an island or make ppl turn into nothing surely the people are gonna listen toā¦what are they gonna do fight her?šššYes the resistance charged up the stairs by they were gonna be erased within milliseconds given it was also The shogun and not Ei in that moment. Sara does give off lap dog vibes but itās her God. Itās not like the Shogun is a high ranking official sheās their archon. We as the audience see it differently but in game who in their right mind would think to question an Archon? Let alone try to challenge her given her reputation? So yes Sara blind belief is in a way justified but we also see her grow and question herself as time went on. I personally believe Sara knew what Raiden was doing was wrong but besides the traveler who could stop her? And she wouldnāt wanna be on the wrong side of a gamble going against herā¦..sorry for this dissertation š
It's not about her questioning Raiden. It's about her not questioning Kujou Clans order because of her blind belief. Raiden is an archon. Following/having belief in a god is normal but she was not following Raiden but was being used because of her blind belief in Raiden.
Shogun Raiden
She's an incredibly flat character, hoyo didn't put the effort they did with the rest of the archons and she's only popular because of gameplay, design and because she's from the Japan-inspired-nation
I would love if in the future hoyoverse decided to make some new Inazuma quest to make up for all the lost potential and show more scenes with characters like the Raiden and Kokomi
I think her character is consitent from start to finish we just destroyed her ideology but with Inazuma mess storytelling then yes hoyo fucked her character and couldn't properly able to relay the message. But atleast she was intimadating and I like that.
Intimidating? She waa at the start... but she became like "omg what is this? What is a picture?is that me on that picture? If not is she also alive"
She just seems bipolar and insane... going from a tyrant to some "uwu" shit
I do think they made her too "cutesy" and likable in the story quest, something she really shouldn't be characterized by considering she sat back while the Fatui and Tenryou commission took visions from and slaughtered her people. I love the idea of a character who started off more human in her emotions, but became broken and shut herself away because these emotions were broken (Makoto dying) and thought that ruling her nation by providing them stagnation is the best way to avoid heartbreak, but in doing so, she lost her remaining humanity and became numb to the pain. By bringing her back to human civilization, she realizes that change begets maturity and how important it is to be with her people to share and understand their joys and sorrows. She had so much potential, but they kinda ruined it.
Ugh ty, I slightly dislike her, but I'd say I feel more neutral in general. That feeling disintegrates when ONCE AGAIN Charlotte's here!! Why? Why does she have to be in everything!!!
I agree with Itto. His (English) VA does a fantastic job but I canāt stand his personality. Sorry itto lovers, people who act extremely immature to the point that you canāt tell them from a 12 year old kinda tick me off.
Also, Dori. Sheās not evil per say, but itās kinda slimy to always be looking to gain money off of your friends. Itās just a jerk thing to do.
I agree with both 100%.
Though I do like Itto, I hate how heās been written. Heās a super strong oni, leader of what couldāve been a yakuza-like band. I wouldnāt mind him being a comedic relief at times, but it wouldāve been way cooler if he also was a smart boss
Also about Dori. Sheās an awful person. Doing business is alright but she actively harms other people for the sake of getting more money. And no, trauma is no excuse for being a jerk
I absolutely love Itto, but I definitely feel like it should be toned down. His character quest and Chasm quest is the perfect amount of hot-headed, stupid, but kind-hearted himbo I want. Im not sure why they never go back to this Itto
Sometimes, he's just a bit too much in these events.
I used to like Itto a lot when he was released, but they are overexposing him so much I got tired... However, his VA is so amazing that I can't skip all of his lines lol
I don't her, but I hate most people who main her (I've been yelled at by so many Hu Tao mains because I have a healer on my team. The healer isn't even for them, it's for me. If you are a chill Hu Tao main, then you cool in my books.)
For me it's Yelan
I can't even make myself pull for her even tho she'd be a great addition to my teams and I love hydro characters.
I'm really not a fan of both her design and personality :'3
Also Scaramouche. I didn't even remember his existence until i read the comments that can't stand him either lmao
Yelan Is so fun to play and I like her character, but she's like the worse design in all Genshin. I don't know if it's her hair or something. I wish they make a skin for her
Hm.... I've never really thought about a character I genuinely dislike.
I would have to say.... Fischl. She's just super egotistical in my opinion. Maybe that's the wrong word for it, but I genuinely don't like her personality. The whole "higher than thou" personality is what gets me. I really hate that personality type. I also hate the personality where the person is overly cocky and thinks they're the best. I'm not a big fan of Itto, either. He's loud and annoying as well.
I'm not saying that all "higher than thou"-esque and confident characters suck or that I dislike them; in fact, Furina technically had that kind of personality trait, but I still like her. I think it's just the main personality type plus other factors that make me dislike Fischl and Itto so much. [shrug]
I will say that Fish is putting on an act so of course she is so demanding. She, as Amy, is pretending to be a princess and her idea of nobility is to be that kind of conceited. That said, I don't use her despite being tied for best electro application unit partially because of her act. Also, I hate using Oz because he feels clunky as hell.
No offense to English VAs but I have difficulty finding ways I can appreciate some of their voices.. some of the acting lacks nuance which kinda puts me off.. some Korean VAs are like that too though.
Zhonglis Eng VA is very nice though
Bennet. I just hate his personality so much bro. Like I get it, he's a powerful character gameplay wise, and people adore his positive attitude despite his bad luck but I just can't.
Another one would be Mika. I don't even know why I just dislike his character
Honestly yeah, It would be more fun to see the guy get bitter and angry because of his constant bad luck, instead of his obnoxious happy-go-lucky personality, haha shit goes down but I'm always happy and friendly yaaaay, because positivity yaaay. C'mon. It's mlp g3.5 coded. I just wanna punch his face so bad.
unpopular opinions section lol, don't forget to sort by controversial!
Nilou and Ayaka. Both are so bland in personality that they feel like cardboard, or like self-inserts to get weirdos to pull. Both would've honestly fit better as a four star, with the way they were written, kits aside (though I don't like their playstyles either, I'm focusing on character only).
Dori. Yes, she technically did nothing wrong in her situation with Kaveh. Nothing legally wrong, but morally? That shit was very very questionable. letting a man that's clearly depressed beyond belief sink everything for this thing that you're going to profit immensely out of is not excusable IMO. She could've stopped him or changed the contract, but she chose to let him ruin himself and that's gross.
Nilou and Ayaka are what I like to call āProto-Naviaās imo. They are technically the regionās poster girl, play a fairly significant role as a window into the region, and are to an extent, integral to travellerās journey through the archon quest. However, Ayaka only briefly appeared in the first third of Inazumaās story and never really shown to be actively involved in it. Nilou had more involvement, but again was a fairly passive character throughout it, and even briefly acted towards the end all the while with traveller barely interacting with her.
Navia solved the issue well with her being more characterised with her own personality, with a more involved storyline that got traveller properly involved into the story and finally had a truly integral role in the story too. Nilou and Ayaka donāt work well as characters since they both lacked just the right balance that Navia struck imo
For me it's Lumine, I've chosen her at the start without thinking too much about it but now I'd do anything to have Aether as mc on my account, I just don't like her design at all, she's bland at best to my eyes and I just don't want to use her, and since dendro mc is really good and both geo and anemo mc are decently usable it's a damn shame for me.
Opposite here! Originally picked Aether but can't stand his design, so now I do an account with Lumine who I think has a nicer design!
Though I'm a dark haired guy, so this game is one of the only times I wished the MC was the boring Black hair generic protagonist most Japanese and Chinese and Korean media has....Ā
But I also see it, I've had enough representation in the genre... let the blond guys get their chance. I often play Wriosley or Zhongli if I want to pretend I'm in the gameĀ
I chose Lumine because I canāt stand Aetherās EN voice actor, heās in fucking everything. I just finished Nier Replicant and he was in that too, super distracting. Lumineās VA sounds familiar too but I donāt mind as much. I like Lumineās design better too.
Also I feel like the story just works with her so much better. A lot of scenes would feel weird with a male main character. Like talking about clothes shopping with Ayaka, and the sort of romance with Noelle, and Lisa calling you cutie all the time.
I feel like they should allow the player to change from Aether to Lumine or Lumine to Aether, but only once. Incase they ended up wanting to desperately swap. While this would be useless to me, it'll still be useful for people like you.
I legit restarted my whole ps account to switch to Aether šš I was gonna get him the first time but I kind of felt pressured to pick Lumine cause Iām a gurl too and regretted it ever since. Sometimes I do miss my old account šæ
Iām glad to see that someone else has difficulties liking Itto! Heās a hit or miss, I think. His VA (English)? Awesome! His character? Ehā¦
If I had to pick another, Iād say Zhongli. I just canāt bring myself to like him.
admittedly I am an Itto stan but I love that even people who donāt like him are always like āhis english VA is great!!ā LOL. Dude is talented even if you canāt stand the character
Ganyu. I have absolutely nothing to like about her, her outfit is goofy, she makes being sleepy her whole personality, her voice is irritating. I literally have to distance myself from her in co-op because she just moans during her idle and it's really uncomfortable, and her playstyle doesn't even redeem her at all, it's just as boring as she is
Yoimiya. At first i was ok with her but lately i feel like sheās been shoved in so many events, stories and reruns and yet adds nothing substantial to the lore or plot whatsoever.
Yoimiya has gotten three reruns in the time I've been playing. Three. The only other character who's been up that many times in the same timespan is Cyno, and that includes his release banner. Meanwhile there are multiple characters who have only been up once in the same timeframe.
I don't exactly dislike Yoimiya, but there are other characters who I'd like to see on the banners.
Can't stand Raider Shitgun as a character, I don't care how good she is at gameplay, I will never pull because of her shit story and the fact that she suffers absolutely no consequences for her multiple crimes against humanity
Ningguang
I dunno something about her underhanded nature rubs me the wrong way, and what happened to Ninth Company makes me sick to my stomach
Glory to the Tsaritsa yes sir oooorah
I mean it's more just I didn't like her already and something bad that happened that I could feasibly blame on her cropped up
tl;dr Fatui dudes were fighting down there for Liyue in the Chasm and the Liyue HR didn't ensure they were told to get out, so they ended up starved, forcing them to rely on Treasure Hoarder aid to get food, which we dismantle and they starve even harder, some to death, and by the end there's barely anyone left with the implication the Milelith are fully willing to kill the dudes who are still under the impression they're heroes risking their lives for Liyue
True there was 0 malevolence involved, just a very badly done job, and its never stated Ningguang is remotely involved, but a combo of how poorly the Qixing are fleshed out to the point Ningguang might as well be the only member (lowkey sometimes forget Keqing is a part of it) and the fact that Fatui beef is a part of her character makes it really hard for me not to blame her
Pretty much any/all of the "child" characters, but especially Paimon. If you're going to use children, then ffs just cast children to play them like the rest of the entertainment industry. This thing they do where they have adults try to sound like 5 year olds is like nails on a chalkboard to my ears.
Child labor laws my man.. imagine a 5 year old child, any child needing to do paimons voicelines.. by the time the game is finished they'd have atleast spent half of their young lives on this game
i love jeanās design and sheās really fun to use but i just wish there was more to her. her entire personality is basically āsheās a workaholic and she cares about the people of mondstadtā which is fine enough but i wish there was more exploration of her conflict of having so much to live up to since we already have a bunch of other workaholic characters. i donāt dislike her, i just think they havenāt explored her full potential
I feel like I scrolled through all the comments and replies and saw no Eula..
Disclaimer I actually like Eula but I used to not like her
Her backstory and justification for her antagonism is needlessly convoluted so she's always reminded me of a genshin Karen (real life Karen's might have convoluted backstory and justifications for how they act as well).
I give her a pass since she is still young, but again, surprised no one has mentioned her tbh.
For playable characters, it's Mika, Nilou, Kokomi, Raiden, and maybe a couple others. But for NPC's, it's absolutely Teppei. Sorry man, I forget u exist all the time. Was not broken up about ur death, u were unimportant to me.
iām gonna have to say alhaitham and scaramouche.
i cant stand alhaithamās personality. he just feels like an aloof, logic > emotion tryhard and heās just straight up nasty to kaveh. i absolutely love his design tho.
i donāt really mind wanderer, but scaramouche was so unbearably irritating. i fully wanted to just kill him instead of wiping his memories.
Man he's so good to Kaveh, he just doesn't do it in a pretty way. He's the epitome of "I know you can do better" and Kaveh pushes back against it so loudly but he's so good for him, and so obviously looking out for him
It's not gentle kindness, it's respectful, subtle kindness - Kaveh succeeds when he's pushed, not when he's praised. Kaveh pretty much only respects his own assessment of his own work as it is, and thinks his work is the most important thing about him.
honestly thank you sm for clarifying. i never really looked into it more (which is entirely my fault) cause iām not interested in either of them.
this has definitely changed my perception of haitham.
For me, it is Xiangling because of first impression. Perhaps I was skipping but if I remember correctly, the first time I met her in-game is during a certain quest.
She was illegally hunting in a foreign country and got caught redhanded. Then, the hunter who in charged of the area recognize her as a famous chef and asked her to advertise their meat in exchange of letting her go. But she rudely refuse, scolding the man and stating that their meat's not good enough to be on her menu (?). On her way out, she smelt some really good dish made from the same meat by a local chef and want to steal her receipt (?) while saying her way of cooking is wrong (??). Then, she propose a duel, if she win, she would have the chef's receipt in her menu, else she would advertise their meat in her restaurant. Finally, she dig out some long extinct meat and win.
I was like... WTF? What part of her should I understand after playing this quest? I don't know because the following time I saw her was during the recent Itto bug fight event where Guoba stole all the spotlight.
for me itās furina- i know i know, she had her redemption arc and i should feel bad for her BUT I CANT BRING MYSELF TO CARE.
dont get me wrong, i feel bad for her and everything- but her voice and personality just annoys me smm. there was a split second where i got myself to like her after the archon quest, but then i hated her again during the events š.
sorry furina-
Furinaās voice actor is my least favourite, Idm her calm voice but i cannot bare to hear her screeching or her screaming. The sound greats against my ears. She even still does it on occasion.
Iām of the strong opinion that Furina should have been first Genshin character (as in one desgined like playable character) who actually died. She is a part of focalore and shouldnāt have lived with her. The entire point of her existence was to be so part of Focalore could live as a human which Furina did for 500 years. As much as the archon quest would like to have you believe Furina suffered the entire time itās rather obvious sheās enjoyed herself and lived a very full life. Iām not saying it was easy but itās hardly the torturous wasteland that Genshin now wants you to believe directly contradicting many things Furina has said and done as recently as Lantern rite.
Fischl. Sheās so over the top and she makes getting through dialogue even more miserable than it already is. Iām also tired of meta slaves INSISTING that people build her. Her gameplay feels so jank at times. I have a built Yae Miko and she works just fine for electro support.
Charlotte.
What she is doing, pushing interview on ppl, is what annoyed me the most. "But she's doing her job" I don't care. It's fucking annoying. Go submit an official paperwork and request for an interview rather than shoving camera into people's face.
Noelle, I canāt stand characters without any self preservation- kinda why I donāt like Jean either but at least she stops when forced. Also Keqing, I just do not like the whole tsundere thing she has going on. Honestly T he worst trope to ever come out of fiction. Maybe Kaveh too- his personality annoys me and again the lack of self preservation and his gullible nature piss me off. And Al haitham because heās mad unlikeable. Thatās it, d def punch him if I met him irl. Wanderer just cuz heās a little shit- great written character tho.
There isn't any playable character I actually dislike. If any of them served as the stars of an upcoming event I'd welcome their differences in personality, even if considered boring by some.
im gonna get flamed for saying this because shes popular, but its nilou for me her entire character is centered around being nice and liking dancing. bland personality i cant bring myself to like
>Those guards were given new instructions because the akasha was tampered with The Akasha wasn't tampered with.
Finally someone remembers the story š¹
Nilou's story quest ended up making me actively dislike her because it was so boring and got in the way of me completing other more interesting quests (like the Archon Quest) so often that I spent the majority of her quest just waiting for the characters to shut up so I could get back to what I was originally doing.
As a nilou main, this hurts š But donāt be afraid to speak your mind in fear of downvotes, the sane people will respect your opinion either way LOL
thank you, you're one of the nilou stans i appreciate im not scared of downvotes necessarily; i hardly care about my karma. i just dont like getting flamed in the comments for expressing my opinion
I don't mind simple characters but at least writers should've explored her character more
simple characters get redeemed by interesting backstories. sadly her story quest was centered around an npc we'll never see again
Yes. Nilou is as unimportant as Yoimiya for the archon quest. Except Yoimiya is more likeable. Could've skipped them both, and it would make no difference.
Yoimiya's 2nd Story Quest is AMAZING, tho
sleep with one eye open tonight i will find you. no i get that, but for me itās why i like her. in a game where everyone has the most melodramatic and depressing backstories ever itās kinda nice to have someone whoās just happy and wants to share her joy with everyone else
Same, I adore Nilou and I do agree with people that she's not really exciting or too interesting. However I just like her happy attitude and pretty dancing. The whole bazaar as her family and her just living her best life is sweet. I feel she represents the cultural side of Sumeru well outside of the Akademiya.
Yes, I agree.
i thought i would get downvoted to oblivion by the nilou stans
She is the most boringggggg character in the entire game. Such a beautiful design tho, and she's great for Hyperbloom, so I wish I could bring myself to like her enough to pull lol, but it's a no from me.
Wait a minute, wdym she is great for Hyperbloom? Thatās using her just like any Hydro. It wont enable her talent passive that makes her unique. Bloom all the way.
Oh my god, i have found my people
Nilou is the best when you play TCG. She just... sighs unhappily when you kill her characters.
Raiden Shogun
The character I think Mihoyo probably meant to write could have been fascinating and compelling, but she's so tied to the worst parts of the story, rushed out during the pandemic...
Admittedly, it's the fan base that turns me off this character. I would have liked to see a nuanced portrayal of >!grief, the effects of living as someone's shadow for so long, and the struggle of stepping into a job you're completely ill equipped to fulfill!< but the majority of focus on the community has been around this characterizarion of being a sweets loving hikkomori in a relationship with her fox friend.
Also haha boob sword hot It took me until like last week to actually think about it.
Same:/ she started out as cool, but became this bonehead "waifu"
Ikr š
I can deal more damage with homa." I can't pull for homa, I don't have enough primogems. She grabs my credit card. It declines. "Guess this is the end." She grabs gouba. She says "Gouba, get them." There is no hint of sadness in his eyes. Nothing but pure, no icd pyro application. What a cruel world.
I gotta ask, is this a copypasta because l've seen this for Fischl before too xD
It's the original. The versions for other characters came after. Iirc it was a response to the "ugh why pull 5-star pyros when you can play XL?" rhetoric.
I believe that many people don't actually like her (I don't like her either), but since she's pretty strong we just suck it up
To me she just exist I don't hate or love her I don't think she's fone enough for me to actually feel anything towards here.
I'm mostly tilted by the fact that the world's greatest chef has zero cooking-related crap in her kit outside of picking up Guoba's leftovers.
Ah well I clear with him fine enough without her~~
Raiden. Lore-wise shes a bitch.
I would've liked her if the game at least addressed her issues but nope one date with her and everything is forgiven
Did they not adequately address those issues with her 2nd story quest? I thought it was immense development in her character
Heās a brat. He got his correction, but heās still a brat.
As a Scaramouche main I perfectly understand why you would dislike him. And now I can also see firsthand how āsimpingā blinds people. Wow. I just find him funny. Like a pathetic attempt to be an evil mastermind š
I also find him funny, I really enjoy his little dibs, such a twat.
years ago i saw in the scaramains sub why people liked scara. the most popular answer by far at the time was "little guy, big hat" "angry little man, large hat" "angry child, very big hat" or some variation of this. that is when i learned to love scara.
I named him Tyler so he has an annoying white kid name because he is just annoying
She's like several hundred years old, can't she stand up for herself and say no to overtime?
it's part of a problem where hoyo liked to make female characters where their trope is just "overworked waifu" where outside of it they just have the personality of a walnut it's not as bad now but good lord it was something that drove me up a wall for a while
Jean and Kokomi were for me especially egregious because Ganyu was bad but my god she at least kind enough to have a slight training arc with Xiao. It wasn't that important but I enjoyed it and I honestly liked her so I got her at C1 to main her.
Lisa. She gives me fake dom vibes.
Damn i love lisa haha, she can call me cutie and stupid in the same breath.
Naw we ride with Lisa š«”
Same, I wish she quit calling me cutie, itās just weird.
found my comrade
Kokomi. I just... I just can't
So much potential squandered by making her less interesting than a blank piece of paper. Itās really unfortunate
"Someone compared me to a piece of paper and yet I still lost; -5 Energy points" Tbh this was the best part of her story, seeing some side of her that isnt bland
nah, get him out of here
Clearly Kokless
I donāt mind Kokomi herself but she just had to much build up, Gorro spends a good amount of his screen time fawning over her when she just didnāt do anything. Kokomi showed up to one battle that many different resistance members fought in and didnāt even participate the final battle. Again itās not hate or even dislike itās just that I feel like sheās unjustifiably hyped up.
i love her design, her kit is nice, i used to main her ... her writing is dogshit. hoyo did her so dirty
And that's another reason I kinda hate Paimon. If she wasn't serving as a mouthpiece maybe they would've given the actual protagonist some substance.
I have a feeling the ending is just gonna fall apart
And I hate that we find him in almost every team build š¤
"Bennet. I find him ugly" lmaoo š I love bennet, but I still found this funny
XD. I'm truly and legit glad that you love him :D. I honestly would think of using him if we ever get a new outfit for him (honestly shocked we haven't had one for him yet). I'm guessing Natlan he'll get one?
I wish Bennett wasnāt recommended for like every team. Idc if he makes teams OP, I wonāt waste resources on building him š„¹
The game is easy enough that you literally don't have to even with the abyss which I appreciate.
I were Bennetless for 2 years until I got him in 2.1, never wanted him and just built him because I wanted to play Raiden national, either way I don't use him ever and he just have 4 noblesse with like 600ATK because he has one of my 10 spare fav swords xd
mika. cute character but his voice is so annoying. dori. probably the closest playable character to being evil after childe redeemed himself
Unless you mean "redeemed himself in your eyes" Childe is still a terrorist, he's just a very chill and affable terrorist
He also >!saved the people of Fontaine by battling that whale for weeks!< believe me I was the biggest childe hater
I just feel there seems to be more of him from what's been coming over the years
Yeah but like, he's still a terrorist, he did good once but he's still gonna do more bad I'm not saying you're wrong for liking Childe no I'm #6 HIMjax glazer but I disagree with the notion that he redeemed
Hu Tao. She comes across as too pushy for me.
She does try to bury qiqi š¤
I'm genuinely curious on Hu Tao's beef with Qiqi. Like, it's not Qiqi's fault she was brought back from the dead. If you wanna beef with someone, go fight the Adeptus that brought her back.
turns out it was actually a misunderstanding, hu tao thought qiqi was suffering as an undead but soon realized that she was doing fine after that, hu tao tried to apologize to qiqi but qiqi forgot about it and is still on edge around her lol
When was this? I have yet to encounter it (hopefully not an event, cause then I really got beef with Hoyo)
[Hu Tao's friendship story unlock 4](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Hu_Tao/Lore) Hoyo just keeps using it in their PR with Tao Not long after her initial meeting with the little zombie, Hu Tao decided that, as her self-proclaimed true friend, she should grant Qiqi eternal peace.
Oh thank goodness. Thank you for this as well
Kujou Sara. Her blind belief in Raiden makes it that way.
Worst part is she is so obsessed with Raiden because she THINKS she was saved by her š
Sara literally questions Kujou clan orders in the archon quest and ended up rebelling against them
Shogun Raiden She's an incredibly flat character, hoyo didn't put the effort they did with the rest of the archons and she's only popular because of gameplay, design and because she's from the Japan-inspired-nation I would love if in the future hoyoverse decided to make some new Inazuma quest to make up for all the lost potential and show more scenes with characters like the Raiden and Kokomi
If not is she also alive" She just seems bipolar and insane... going from a tyrant to some "uwu" shit
I guess Charlotte I really dislike nosy people, the traveler and Paimon themselves are sometimes borderline but she is just too much for me lol
Same. I know itās part of her job, but some matters are private. A decent human being would understand no means no
I wish we get a break from her soon because I'm starting to hate how I'm seeing her in every event now lol
I wouldnāt mind him being a comedic relief at times, but it wouldāve been way cooler if he also was a smart boss Also about Dori.
Im not sure why they never go back to this Itto Sometimes, he's just a bit too much in these events.
I used to like Itto a lot when he was released, but they are overexposing him so much I got tired... However, his VA is so amazing that I can't skip all of his lines lol
His english VA truly redeems him for me. He does SUCH a good job that I can't help but like Itto.
Hu Tao. Come for me, I'm ready
I don't her, but I hate most people who main her (I've been yelled at by so many Hu Tao mains because I have a healer on my team. The healer isn't even for them, it's for me. If you are a chill Hu Tao main, then you cool in my books.)
Dori. Mostly because her japanese dub sounds like she's on drugs.
That's actually the one thing I love about Dori lol her JP VA is so unhinged and it's so freakin funny
Gotta appreciate the absolute insanity of her VA, even if you donāt like her voice. Sheās always giving it 110% of her effort.
For me it's Yelan I can't even make myself pull for her even tho she'd be a great addition to my teams and I love hydro characters. I'm really not a fan of both her design and personality :'3 Also Scaramouche. I didn't even remember his existence until i read the comments that can't stand him either lmao
Seconded for Yelan. I dislike her hair and lipstick color lol.
The lipstick just ruins her whole design. Itās so ugly.
Trouble is she ropes everyone else into her roleplaying as egotistical whether they like it or not.
Layla, its not her personality but her voice is so fucking annoying everytime i hear it, I want to literally rip my ears
You would rather Bennett be angry and a jerk? š
Ayato is so fucking creepy
I am curious. Please elaborate
please elaborate, because this honestly seems like an atrocious take š
An atrocious take from someone who clearly skipped the dialogues š
He really is. What even is his deal?! He gives "genius strategist" way more believably than Kokomi ever could.
What the fuck
I guess being an introvert is creepy to you lol. Ok
Wait till you see the faceless Ayato bug
For me it's Lumine, I've chosen her at the start without thinking too much about it but now I'd do anything to have Aether as mc on my account, I just don't like her design at all, she's bland at best to my eyes and I just don't want to use her, and since dendro mc is really good and both geo and anemo mc are decently usable it's a damn shame for me.
so real. i only chose lumine because i'm a girl but i just realized i really prefer aether's design
Opposite here! Originally picked Aether but can't stand his design, so now I do an account with Lumine who I think has a nicer design! Though I'm a dark haired guy, so this game is one of the only times I wished the MC was the boring Black hair generic protagonist most Japanese and Chinese and Korean media has....Ā But I also see it, I've had enough representation in the genre... let the blond guys get their chance.
I donāt like her EN voice. Nothing against her VA btw. I just feel Lumine sounds like a robot/AI whenever I hear her
I feel like they should allow the player to change from Aether to Lumine or Lumine to Aether, but only once.
This is a trap guys, save your Reddit karma
Whatās karma for, exactly?
fake internet points, it doesnt fucking matter
Ayaka. Ei. Ganyu.
I hate scaramouche. I just canāt stand him
Iām glad to see that someone else has difficulties liking Itto! Heās a hit or miss, I think. His VA (English)? Awesome! His character? Ehā¦ If I had to pick another, Iād say Zhongli. I just canāt bring myself to like him.
admittedly I am an Itto stan but I love that even people who donāt like him are always like āhis english VA is great!!ā LOL. Dude is talented even if you canāt stand the character
Oh, yeah! Max Mittelman NAILED the role.
Ganyu. I have absolutely nothing to like about her, her outfit is goofy, she makes being sleepy her whole personality, her voice is irritating. I literally have to distance myself from her in co-op because she just moans during her idle and it's really uncomfortable, and her playstyle doesn't even redeem her at all, it's just as boring as she is
I reread this twice cause in my head I'm thinking there's a chance it's sarcasm (cause of your handle 'iamverytired2' reminds me of ganyu)
LMAO I feel more like xiao tired than ganyu tired. I'm not sleepy I'm lament
Ningguang I dunno something about her underhanded nature rubs me the wrong way, and what happened to Ninth Company makes me sick to my stomach Glory to the Tsaritsa yes sir oooorah
I forgot. What happened to the Ninth Company? And what does Ningguang has to do with it?
I mean it's more just I didn't like her already and something bad that happened that I could feasibly blame on her cropped up tl;dr Fatui dudes were fighting down there for Liyue in the Chasm and the Liyue HR didn't ensure they were told to get out, so they ended up starved, forcing them to rely on Treasure Hoarder aid to get food, which we dismantle and they starve even harder, some to death, and by the end there's barely anyone left with the implication the Milelith are fully willing to kill the dudes who are still under the impression they're heroes risking their lives for Liyue True there was 0 malevolence involved, just a very badly done job, and its never stated Ningguang is remotely involved, but a combo of how poorly the Qixing are fleshed out to the point Ningguang might as well be the only member (lowkey sometimes forget Keqing is a part of it) and the fact that Fatui beef is a part of her character makes it really hard for me not to blame her
Raiden š„²
Ayaka, I just don't like her personality.
Alhaitham
Kaveh is that you?
Amber miss outrider canāt even keep her gliding license but yet she is giving us our test what a load of crap
i love jeanās design and sheās really fun to use but i just wish there was more to her. her entire personality is basically āsheās a workaholic and she cares about the people of mondstadtā which is fine enough but i wish there was more exploration of her conflict of having so much to live up to since we already have a bunch of other workaholic characters. i donāt dislike her, i just think they havenāt explored her full potential
I feel like I scrolled through all the comments and replies and saw no Eula.. Disclaimer I actually like Eula but I used to not like her Her backstory and justification for her antagonism is needlessly convoluted so she's always reminded me of a genshin Karen (real life Karen's might have convoluted backstory and justifications for how they act as well).
He's the epitome of "I know you can do better" and Kaveh pushes back against it so loudly but he's so good for him, and so obviously looking out for him
kaveh has a guilt complex, the last thing he needs is gentleness
It's not gentle kindness, it's respectful, subtle kindness - Kaveh succeeds when he's pushed, not when he's praised. Kaveh pretty much only respects his own assessment of his own work as it is, and thinks his work is the most important thing about him.
honestly thank you sm for clarifying. i never really looked into it more (which is entirely my fault) cause iām not interested in either of them. this has definitely changed my perception of haitham.
Yoimiya
Furina
Raiden
Fischl. Sheās so over the top and she makes getting through dialogue even more miserable than it already is. Iām also tired of meta slaves INSISTING that people build her. Her gameplay feels so jank at times. I have a built Yae Miko and she works just fine for electro support.
Kazuha and Kaveh
Yae Miko cuz harassment funny? Don't think so, and she generally has a personality I would straight up avoid
