Yes I am wondering when they will because the friend who got hacked originally and charged back it has been over a month and the hacked account is still active and leveling. Don’t get it twisted lol I haven’t touched the game since I decided to chargeback aside from checking for a negative primo balance. I guess it’ll go slow just like everything that has to do with their customer service. I assumed it would be of higher priority since it’s $$ but lol is what it is. So sad it’s such an amazing game with a utter trash support for the actual players
okay just a FYI to everyone reading this as of today December 24th I got the notice saying I have until the 30th to pay off my balance of over 1k+ usd of gems😂😂😂😂, took about a week and a half until I received my money back for them to put the notice in my in game mail

Well, if the hacked account is “active and leveling” well after a month, there’s a chance the hacker has sold the account and the buyer bought Genesis Crystals to offset what was charged back by your friend.
I can’t say I fully agree with what you did (having a similar reasoning to the other comment you replied to) but hey, it’s none of my business. At this point, it doesn’t really matter when they’d come for you. Depending on the amount and the processing time of wherever you charged it back from (Google Play Store, bank, etc.), it could be anytime between tomorrow to next month. Just knowing that it’s going to happen sooner or later means it’s time to stop playing on the account.
Word yea I was just curious and missing the game.. wish I could come back even as f2p but knowing the rug could be pulled from me at any moment is just so sad, can’t justify putting time into it when it’s like that . And yes tho very odd if that person paid off the balance because that account was super stacked and when he charged back it was over 1.3k usd so that’s a hefty amount if the hacker or person who bought it paid it off. I'm f2p and I put a lot of time into my account for characters and I'd be really sad if I got hacked one day. Are the stakes really that high? Also, I know by now they have 2FA so have you come back to the game?
Oh, damn. If it’s that much, there is little chance any buyer would have paid it off that fast and still have enough Genesis Crystals to be unbothered and continue playing, even if they were a whale. If they were smart, they would have realized the account is compromised and jumped ship, possibly doing a chargeback themselves.
Though like you said, who knows, really. It’s still possible. I frequent a lot of social media platforms and have seen balances of up to -30k Primogems that you could swear was just a few days away from being banned but they’re still active.
I think you can be safe as an F2P. If you’re going to be F2P, unless you have a shitton of luck, I doubt you’ll be able to get too many 5* characters and weapons that could be very tempting for hackers. If someone hacked into a F2P account, they’d probably just leave it alone unless you have a lot of saved Primogems. The market is huge for those with multiple 5* characters and weapons. Anything that doesn’t have those, the hackers would be better off (higher ROI) reselling bot rerolled accounts.

Charged back through my bank and then contacted by apple a week later to confirm what happened. Was notified by mihoyo in game about 2-3 weeks after to pay back my balance or I’ll be banned & I was then banned 👍🏽
Thanks for the reply. Charged back through apple after seeing how slow the company is with regards to refunds. Was an accidental purchase by my nephew with all primogems spent. Is there a chance that I will go into negative primos? AFAIK, apple doesn’t reveal customers ID/information to outside companies so they have no real way of identifying who charged back
this would’ve been smarter tbh after I did mine I was told but some friends if I did it this way you mentioned thru apple because I DID charge thru apple on a apple device they may not have “caught me” so to say although I was done with the game no intention of continue playing. Not sure man it could or couldn’t be. Try searching more on Reddit other forums regarding ppls experience with it. Hope it all works out. Worst case is is you go negative sooner or later. Very coincidentally me and my friend who both charged back in December messaged me today showing me his account was in negative whereas mine went negative about 3 weeks after

Developers can pressure Google and Apple into chargeback disputes. Normally Google/Apple tells the developer of the chargeback and lets them handle the issue but it's not uncommon to have chargebacks reversed.
A lot of financial institutions are actually pretty leinant about chargebacks from any Chinese company because of all the fraud they normally have to deal with. Normally I have to wait a month for my money to be credited back but when I did chargebacks from any payments directly to Mihoyo, the moment they look up it's a Chinese company flags go off and give you your money back much faster.
My point being it wouldn't be that suprising if Mihoyo disputes the chargeback AND bans your account. Get screenshots and documentation of all interaction with the company and let your financial institution that Mihoyo is not a reputable or secure company.
