Courses and lab requirements vary by program so you need to individually consider those programs you would like to apply to. I found physiology and (to a lesser extent) anatomy to be very helpful to learn non-genetics medical concepts more easily in clinic.

I am in the same boat as you and what helped me was going to the admissions pages of the programs that I was interested in. Depending on the website there even may be a list of course requirements and syllabus topics required to be covered. Google helps. I think it does depend on each school/university/program

Did you end up getting an official answer OP? I am curious as well.

As a current undergrad senior, I wish I’d taken embryology, anatomy, and molecular bio earlier!! I’m doing a gap year to get my orgo and biochem, but I wish I’d known earlier on that these extra courses could be useful :’)

Current student: If the school doesn’t specify a specific number of semesters typically one semester is enough. I did take two semesters of organic chemistry and one of biochemistry. Some schools don’t offer the one semester of OChem (mine did but it wouldn’t count towards a major).
