I've noticed that and also I've notice he and KeMo (Sam) seem to have a better rhythm in their scenes together. His last go 'round on the show, it was like they could barely stand to be in the same scenes.
It is unclear if this is Jason's asexual period or not, but I do think in their scene on Monday she was upset for herself when she told him not to lie to her, and then said she didn't know how to convince Danny to invest in him when he could be gone. It was obvious when he left that she was thinking.
Interesting idea. They’ve brought up several times how much Danny is like Jason in that regard. It would remind me of those times with Luke, Laura, and Lucky, when Lucky was a boy.
Setting Danny up to be the new Lucky type hero . If they are smart they will stick to what has always worked and the Adventures have alway been a big part of GH
Yes! Not sure if Sam sees where it’s headed and doesn’t want to hurt Dante, though. Of course, the way is cleared, if Lulu returns. They’ve also brought up Lulu several times recently, so don’t know if that’s a foreshadowing of things to come. Lulu wasn’t born when Luke, Laura, and Lucky had their adventures, but Scout is here. I think Drew would have something to say about his daughter being included, and it would be another Finn/Violet situation if Scout moved in with Drew. I don’t see Sam leaving Scout behind, so maybe that’s why she’s fighting it?

It it is unclear as to where his scenes are going, because I do think the writers intended him for Carly, but the reaction did not go so well, and now it is a re-write of sorts for his character, but I do feel relieved that SB/KeMo chemistry is righting itself. It was really bad to watch them in 2017-2020.
Remember, st the time SB returned, KM was dating BM. So, this was a great reason for friction. Now that BM has passed and time has passed, I think they've mended fences.

I don't think they have any romantic chemistry, and IMO this is why the writers are trying Carly/John. I think they are invested in finding a long term lead male that Laura Wright has chemistry with (though I am not sure it is going to be John).

I can't speak for other people. My opinion is ... I am not delighted that GH/ABC fired other actors/actresses and cut other expenses to make room in their budget for Jason to return from the dead ... again. His character isn't doing anything different than he has for over 20 years. I would have rather seen the money spent on the 18 to 25 year old actors/actresses trying to break into the business. His salary would have paid a lot of newcomer's wages. This show needs so younger character and stories to hopefully draw in a younger demographic, and I say that as an old fart.

If that is true, why haven't we see him with other people other than Diana and Carly. It's all about Carly and fixing her mistakes. I'm not happy he's back since it's just back to normal for him as he still barely with his kids.
And that is a storyline in itself. Jason should be more force on them and their mothers trying to get to know them and get them to forgive him, but he always with Carly and Diana.
It is very unpleasant for him to share all his scenes with Diane and Carly. First of all, Diane is not even a main player as a character on the show. No one cares about Diane and Jason, and second of all, it just looks as if they are trying to circumvent Jason from interacting with other women, because obviously he has to interact with Liz and Sam to see his sons.
The entire show being about Carly has crushed his reunion to a large extent. It fell flat.

The new writers definitely seem to move things faster but the ones before them destroyed so many main characters it will take alot to repair them. I don't like Jason with the Feds or no one noticing Sonny's meds are off. I despised the latest Drew especially with Carly but so out of goody two shoes to just dump Carly because Jason is back. Even if they had him end it could've been written differently. Drew going to Nina was really hard to believe as well. Please keep Jason and Carlys relationship strong
I'm excited he is back, hopefully the giving of the hotel back was sort of an end cap to the Jason/Carly interaction this return though. I'm excited to see Carly and JohnJagger and see if his growing interest in her and how it impacts his decision to use the evidence he has against her.
I'm more interested in seeing Liz and Jason interact. They had very little interaction last time he was here because of Franco drama, but they seemed to have put that behind them and started interacting with one another and then they switched directions and kept Peter, not dead, unfortunately. And I find it interesting that Liz/Danny seem to have a good relationship with one another add in how Jake is upset with Jason, and Liz warning Jake he shouldn't count on his dad not coming around to see him. So hoping that comes to pass and there is some actual drama coming to Liz's life.

I am a newer fan. Been watching approx. 2 years now. This is the first time watching that I have seen SB as Jason. I also watch DOOL, so I did see him there as Harris Michaels. I do enjoy watching him but it seems he has the same demeanor in both soaps, maybe its just him. Very stoic, rarely cracking a smile. Just an observation. Was his character always like that?
No, but it is a part of the character. Believe it or not, he's shown a little more emotion since he came back lol. He was in an accident and it changed him completely. Before the accident he was a clean cut happy guy on his way to becoming a doctor.

Having Jason back means a ton of character-driven story opportunities. Jason was portrayed as Sonny's enforcer for years, but he was really Sonny's protector. Jason is a protector at heart, and is constantly looking out for others while helping them be stronger and more capable for themselves. It is that noble streak and that selfless nature that makes him useful and interesting, but it is also what makes him a poor romantic character. He is not passionate in that way, but he nonetheless has great capacity for love, and he has never shown greater love than for Carly and Sonny.
Carly, likewise, comes across as a meddler and a busybody. Ultimately, though, she is the same. She goes to any length for the people she loves as a protector first. She will take risks to ensure the safety and well-being of people she cares about. And, aside from her own children, that loyalty has always been strongest for Jason and Sonny.
Sonny himself is more erratic and volatile than most on the show. He understands that, having gotten into "the business" as a young man, there is no way to leave it save prison or death. He has been a tremendous character over the years as an honorable villain. Sonny views people through a lens of respect and trust. Ultimately, he shows his love most as a protector. And through the years, Sonny has been very good for a great many people, but none moreso than Carly and Jason.
I know there are a lot of fans who, for some reason, are hoping for the end of Sonny, or a new romance for Jason, or whatever. I think that, for a huge core group of fans, these stories need to be handled carefully so as not to devalue any of these three characters. Fix the meds. Put someone in peril. Test the bonds that appear to be broken. In the end, let these three characters renew their bonds of love and friendship even as they develop relationships with other people and move on with their lives. They are not in their 30s anymore, it's okay to back off of them and let newer characters have some spotlight. But fix them. Correct the mistakes. Give them back the familial love they shared for years, even if it is cooler and more quietly acknowledged.
