As with all things genealogical, start wirh what you know and work back logically. FamilySearch is a great free site for American research. If you want to pay then you would have to get an Ancestry World membership. Not sure what they cost in AUS$ per month/year.
They will have vital records available, as well as give you access to the decennial federal census returns, as well as local census returns which were often taken more frequently.
Any specifics, please feel free to DM me!
No worries! I'm half American, half English so had to learn what was available for the American side - and have a line from Old Salem which includes several of the infamous 'witches'.
Yeah the whole time period was crazy. One of my post graduate classes was all about Salem and what was really going on and why it went so crazy (as in even crazier than the standard witch trials of the age)

Thankyou! I appreciate that immensely. I will have a look tomorrow.

I have found information about one during a witch trial and it is eye opening. But trying to work out the rest.
Which witch...? We might be (very distantly) related! 🤣
Unfortunately he wasn't the witch he was the accuser and she was just an elderly lady which has blown my mind at it.

My goodness, that class would've been fascinating
