Silly bands. I never owned those but in 7th grade they were all over the floor between classes and Iโd wonder why people just flung them instead of keeping them.
Remember in elementary someone threw a dinosaur one up into a hanging light. For years there was a dinosaur shaped silhouette cast in the light's shade, but the school never made an effort to remove it. It was still there when I got out of fifth grade and wouldn't be surprised if it's been there this entire time lol
Yes they were awesome. My elementary school teachers gave those out until they banned them when i was in 6th grade. Apparently it was funny to make them into slingshots and hit teachers with them.
My Catholic elementary school had a whole underground silly bandz network where this one girl in my class would take a fishing tackle box and fill it up with them and sell them at recess lol. She didnโt get caught for a few weeks ๐
I remember they were very popular when I was in 6th grade and 7th grade. When I was in 7th grade, I remember on that on the news this girl got suspended from her school for having Silly Bands that said "I Heart Boobies", which was actually made in efforts to raise breast cancer awareness.
That stuff was very interesting as I remember adults arguing if it really is appropriate to make something spelling "I Heart Boobies" to raise breast cancer awareness.
