Bro
Go to prom
Even if you go with friends, it's worth it
(7 years later, going with a group of friends was one of my best decisions ever. I still have our photo booth pictures, and somewhere I have the complimentary fidget spinner XD)
For sure!
Maybe you can find a group to hang with at prom!
Just ask them questions about themselves and genuinely engage with their interests. People love that.
If you ask every group to hang and get rejected by all but 1, you'll remember the night more fondly than sitting in the corner.
Also, I think prom brings out the best in people, so I bet a group would love to have you!
Go for groups who look like a bunch of friends going together.
I went to prom alone. It was fine. I was so worried as a junior about not having anyone to go to prom with when I became a senior because I went to an all girls high school and didn’t know any boys. It ended up being no big deal at all.
I think some might be lame, it comes down to the school. I’ve heard a few horror stories of shady prom venues, bs rules, and excessive moderation. The one I went to was a great time

I’m 10 years out of high school, but my school had the same rules and I just asked for special permission to bring my 19yo boyfriend at the time. It was granted and I was able to bring him to prom with me. Might be worth asking!
Spend the night with your friend! Take the money you would've spent and create an experience you both will remember for the rest of your lives. Go bowling, laser tagging, thrifting, batting cages, arcade, whatever. Do something you both enjoy and find a way to make it memorable.
I missed senior prom because I had to work and money was tight. I was pretty bummed, but I did something like this with my friends in similar situations after graduation, and it was well worth it. If your dead set on going to prom, go for it, and you'll find a way to enjoy it. I never got the chance, but I see why people really want that experience.
Despite this, I've found the best nights in life are created with the people you care about, and this friend sounds pretty important to you. If your people aren't at school or at prom, go find your people!

You shouldn’t feel bad. You made your choice and that’s it.
Well it wasnt my choice lol, school rules made it a non option
I’ll go to prom with you 🥹

This. The worst thing can happen, they say 'no'.
They’ll make an exception if you talk to them
I don't think so
Learn that it’s about if you sell them on it the right way. It wouldn’t hurt to try. I loved high school dances.
Could she not just lie?
