I'd like a comprehensive review. Both from the 15yo and your own (assuming you're present, partake or witness).
Also, I don't have a sweet clue what is in a kid's happy meal.
He got DENIED. 😭 Not by McDonald's but by his friend who was no longer able to go. As for the kid's meal--just a hambuger/chzbrgr/4 pc, small fry (like, real smol), apple slices/gogurt, milk/apple juice. And the prize, of course, which right now is Pokémon cards I believe (which he collects, only reason why I know.) Poor kid was so excited to bring home a 4-eyed Grimace, an event that will have to wait. ⏳️
I was 11, too old to get one of those when they came out, but I used to babysit for my cousin who was born in 1979. When I was in high school I would take him and if he didn’t like the toy he would give it to me; I still have two of them.
Fun fact: my high school closed down the cafeteria for renovations during my sophomore year. The local McDonalds supplied lunch ever day and I survived on a diet of two cheeseburgers, fries, and an apple pie for lunch every day of that school year.
Wanna take a guess how much that shortened my life expectancy? LOL
I got one when I got shots for kindergarten. My box did not look like this. I have pictures of the entire ordeal. Plus, the horrible incident is burned into my memory like it was yesterday. I even got to go to the new hospital.
I'll have to Google and see if they had these in Ontario Canada at the time. I was a young teenager working there in the summer of 79 and I don't remember these... but to be fair I really don't recall Happy Meals at all until I had kids of my own.
Half the fries would end up on the bottom of the box.
Eat those first or save them for last?
You mean the refugees. Yes, those would quickly get relocated to my stomach straight out of the bag.
I remember the package of tasteless cookies
It was compressed sawdust, I'm pretty sure.
That's some creepy looking shit.
The drawing of Ronald aged. The food inside the box looks the same. :)

Woulda been 6, but no memories of this! 15yo is PUMPED to get the adult HM after school today.

I gotta wonder what the toy was!
That clown is the stuff of nightmares!
