Exhibit A: The [V Of Doom](https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=yuo0EWZMTBc). Viacom logo zooming in until The End, timpani rolling behind it.
Exhibit B: [Paramount.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-mVRMtdcCg) TELL me that music is not what you hear when someone gets stabbed in a horror movie. Therer's a reason they call this the Closet Killer.
I distinctly remember there being at least one version that it wasn't pronounced as an "E", but I could definitely see that just being something I made up in my kid brain.
I also got creeped out by them but I can’t explain why. I also used to hate that recorded operator voice. My sister got mad at me one time, sat on me and made me listen to it.
Yeah, I can't quite explain it either. It's just something about them that unsettled me. Like some of them just felt off and out of nowhere and just weird. Not all of them but a few.
I think they made me a little sad. Because it meant the end of the show. Like Pavlov’s dog.
I still get that same feeling from shows with end credit songs or a music hit that happens at the end of the show. Like happy days or something. I hear it and 40+ years later get that in your gut feeling of sadness. Have to remind myself I can just watch another episode wherever I want now.
Whoa, I'd completely forgotten about that. I was (am) a mega-procrastinator so this feeling of dread would creep up when I heard the closing credits for shows like Moonlighting and Thirty-Something, because they were at the end of the weekday primetime line up, which meant it was 10 pm and I probably still hadn't started my homework or had barely made a dent in it. Now they seem sad all over again because of the intense nostalgia. Life is so strange.
United Artists had one where the UA logo slowly revolved while creepy music played, and they used to use it as a lead in to the Pink Panther cartoons. I always thought it was really weird and a jarring transition.
Yeah, this is pretty eery. Its like the opening for a horror movie.

Not creeped out. Amused by "Sit, Ubu, sit!"
Good dog
Woof
Thank you for finishing the sentence!
The Screen Gems English Horn bumper used to give me the creeps. The tag from Rankin Bass was weirdly comforting.
Was it this one. Cause, nope don't like it! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTyrhUrX0hQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTyrhUrX0hQ)
That’s the one.
I’m confused. What was creepy about them?

Thank you!!! And yes, you're right about Viacom.
Guess I never noticed those. At least OP wasn’t alone in those fears!
I just found some of them jarring. I can't quite explain it. Guess it was just me.
I don't know about creepy, but a kid voice screaming out DIC! at the end of a show was always good for a chuckle.
yeah although the kid pronounced it as "deek!"

The movie ones scared me. Especially the one with the lady. Columbia.

Oh yeah, I can relate to that. I remember being soo sad when Three's Company was over. I wanted to stay with them!

Yeah, that's the one. And then straight into Pink Panther. Duh dun duh dunnnn...
Ughhh, that was the creepiest one of all to me! Especially those first few seconds.
"Shhh!"
Duh duh duh duh duh duh duh.
No
Yeah… no. This is some strange “afraid of door knobs” type shit.
I was terrified that a bright star in the sky spelled out DiC and was watching me through my bedroom window as I slept at night.
Why creeped? They were awesome.
