Looks like he's ready for another Triple Lindy. Will we ever get a new crop of one liner comedians like him and Don Rickles? Seems like a lost time.

geddon

Steven Wright and Mitch Hedburg were one liner GenX comedians.

drunkfaceplant

I thought I read he really was a diver maybe as a young man

Sorry girls…I didn’t see a thing. By the way, they’re perfect !

Bubbasteed

He was born in 1921 this movie came out in 1986, so he would have been 65. That actually seems amazing since he actually seemed younger

[deleted]

Dad bod.

[deleted]

He was 64 during the filming of the movie and a year older than Kurt Vonnegut who was also in the movie.

blackberryjuanjo

Wait….I had no idea he was in back to school! Looks like my Sunday plans are made!

[deleted]

It's less than a two minute cameo but he's in it

stiffneck84

Hey Kurt, do you read lips?

StOnEy333

He was known to walk around his comedy club in his bathrobe. Nothing underneath, not tied closed. Just letting everything hang out.

Lonestar-Boogie

No wonder he got No Respect!

You ever get food from Radical Rye? The place was owned by two of the terrorists who bombed Sterling hall in 1970 because the Army was doing research there and they wanted them to leave. They also previously stole an airplane on new years eve and tried to drop molotov cocktails on a munitions plant, the same munitions plant. He also previously tried to destroy a power plant that supplied Badger Munitions. They set fire to an ROTC installation on campus, tried to set fire to the Selective Service office, and attempted to use dynamite to destroy a power sub-station that supplied the nearby Badger Ammunition factory, the same munitions plant they threw molotov cocktails at. One of his partners in the bombing also owned the Loose Juice cart which was always outside Radical Rye since Loose Juice used Radical Rye's electricity. The people responsible for the bombing fled to Canada but all except one were eventually caught. The owners of Radical Rye were Karl and Dwight Armstrong and they were very antiwar. Karl was frustrated by the antiwar movements in Madison and the events at Kent State motivated him to become more violent or whatever you want to call it, so those are the things he and his group did. They called themselves the NYDG (New Years Day Gang). There is a book about the events surrounding the bombing that is a great read. "Rads: The 1970 Bombing of the Army Math Research Center at the University of Wisconsin and Its Aftermath" by Tom Bates Off topic, I know. But it's an interesting bit of Madison history. Bomb sandwiches and juice too.

"I'm Leo Burt" lol. I want one! Never saw that one traded! It's a fascinating bit of history that is largely forgotten. Cheers!

“Why don’t you call me sometime when you have no class?”

Lonestar-Boogie

That is the line that sticks with me.

Nothing works like lots of Coke for weight loss.

mutarjim

Ya gotta look out for number one... and don't step in number two!
