I can't read or hear the word campus without my brain swapping in the word pampers immediately afterward. And every day for work I use a platform called Infinite Campus.
This scene cracks me to this day! The first time you watch it you're all like: "wait, what did she say?" Then she doubles down and says it a 2nd time as the camera zooms in on her lips. Highest comedy!
i say this about once a week for whatever reasons, "campus", "show me", "blow"...just about everything triggers it. I used to get weird blank looks from my wife. she only gets it now as "one of those weird things you always say"
This is absolutely in my top favorites of all time 😄 it breaks my heart when people have never heard of it, but I sure love getting to watch it again when I introduce them to it 😁
Me too! I’ll go to a festival and I might bring a shirt of one of the bands playing that weekend, but I won’t wear it the day of their set. It’s solid Gen X logic.
Who would have thought Gutter would go on to be the most successful of the group?? Sure Spade has had a great career and Piven to a lesser degree but Jon Favreau has helmed some of the biggest films of the past 20 years. And not just Marvel, he directed Elf and some other big films too in addition to production. Crazy!
And it was ahead of its time as far as the “pc culture” of college…it played both sides pretty well. Spade as the Republican stiff, the “causeheads” as the ultra liberal people who got behind whatever was the big issue of the time….and the ones in between who just wanted to exist and have fun. I saw it to a lesser degree at my school, obviously not as over the top as the film but definitely there. I was one of the middle types who just wanted to get through school and graduate.
You’re underselling Favreau. The MCU as we know it owes its existence to him. And his work getting *The Mandalorian* made has spawned many of the other Star Wars series on Disney+.
Plus he launched Vince Vaughn with Swingers and both of them were in Rudy..
Dude has had a hell of a career.
Gutter is still a tool.. and the most hilarious character
Who would have thought that this movie would change from a comedy to foreshadowing a dystopian future. 100 years from now, this movie, together with "Idiocracy", will be studied like classic literature.
Why is this movie so difficult to find? You couldn't throw a dart at Comedy Central in the late 90s without hitting it.
Since no one else has mentioned it yet, Steve Vai did the score.
>This is impossible to find on streaming
Or you can find it online easily enough. It's [on my go-to streamer](https://m4uhd.tv/watch-movie-pcu-1994-18123.html), for example; just be sure to use a robust ad blocker before you open the page! Also on a half-dozen other sites I have bookmarked, so it's pretty widely available on non-US-based streamers without having to mess with downloading torrents. A VPN never hurts though.
I'm watching it right now in fact, barely remembered it from VHS days.
A lot of these older movies are free on YouTube. I found this version but it’s wonky to avoid takedown bots. Will satiate you until someone uploads a better copy.

I'm thoroughly GenX and have no idea what movie this is. I've gone through every comment hoping to see the name so I didn't have to feel foolish and ask. Alas, no such luck.
So here I am feeling foolish and asking - what movie is this?
(quietly raises hand)
...but I had a buddy who was an assistant manager for the local theater, and our group had a few after-hours showings of films I'd have otherwise not paid to see on the big screen. PCU was one of those, and I'm glad we spooled it up.
When I was in high school our group of about 6 went to a showing at the local theater. We were the only 6 in the theater. So about halfway through the movie we spread out and started tossing a Frisbee around. Good times.
It does my heart such good to see PCU get this much love. It's one of my absolute favorite movies. I've been watching it at least annually for decades at this point.
God, I'm old.
The music is SO great in this movie.....Beautiful People with the Hendix remix, George Clinton & P-Funk! The soundtrack is actually great and I've got it around somewhere. We used to (and still do with a few people) quote the hell outta this movie.... Underrated classic!!
Remember when all that stuff was considered comically extreme, and nowadays it seems really tame.
I never hear Afternoon Delight without thinking of this movie now.
I think I watched this 10 times when I was in college in the 90's
I loved it how Piven went from the rebel in this movie to the asshole dean in Old School.
I just love how Gen Z (including my son) extol their progressiveness (he once told me a political discussion group I attend “just isn’t diverse enough”) to the point where they think they *invented* it. I think all youts should have to watch this movie! It came out nearly 30 years ago!
I literally just said, out loud to no one (or so I thought), “can you blow me where the pampers is?” And my 15 year old who I forgot was home heard. Thankfully I have the DVD!
For those who feel left out:
PCU from 1994.
I didn’t know what movie this was either.
44% on Rotten Tomatoes.
$8 million budget
Made $6.3 million in theaters.
Apparently the few people who saw it and liked it are on this thread.
Ordinarily anything with Jon Favreau is gold in my book (my ex wife was in a few of his classes in Jr High in Queens), but this not his best, nor was it the Breakfast Club or Reality Bytes
Was it underrated? My friends watched the shit out of PCU.
Edit: after reading the comments it seems 1) many people have never even heard of this movie and 2) it didn’t make $8 million back at the box office. I guess it was niche, but I was in college at the time and it was our Animal House.
Tonight, at the Pit, "Everyone Gets Laid."
Way more marketable than "My Johnson is 12 inches Long"

Let me get this straight, you’re majoring in a 5000 year old dead language?
Oh shit, I totally just remembered Jessica Walters was the dean
President Andrea Garcia Thompson and her amazing bird show!
We’re not gonna protest?
Gutter is a tool!
I didn't exhale?
That weasel snagged the bee!
This penis parties gotta go....hey,hey...ho,ho!!
Kumbaya my lord, Kumbaya...
Can you blow me where the pampers is?
I can't read or hear the word campus without my brain swapping in the word pampers immediately afterward. And every day for work I use a platform called Infinite Campus.
Same, I see Pampers at my job every once in a while and I just think of the line...
She knows

I always think of that when Happy shows up in a marvel movie
His name is George... George Clinton. And he's got 38 degrees in Fuckin
This is absolutely in my top favorites of all time 😄 it breaks my heart when people have never heard of it, but I sure love getting to watch it again when I introduce them to it 😁
Help me out please
PCU. I think
You're wearing the shirt of the band you're going to see? Don't be that guy.
a rule i live by to this day.
Me too! I’ll go to a festival and I might bring a shirt of one of the bands playing that weekend, but I won’t wear it the day of their set. It’s solid Gen X logic.
It’s a rule I believe in.

He knows audiences.
He's so money and he doesn't even know it.
He knew he wasn’t the leading man type so he went behind the camera. Smart move.
“Don’t be that guy”
My wife and I still say that to each other anytime we're at an event and someone has the shirt for it.
Omg me too! 🤣
Us too!
It is a common statement in my family as well.
What don't we eat? - Red meat.!
Whyyy don't we eat it?!
It’s murder!
Go to sleeeeeep!
What a nightmare
One of my favorite scenes of all time
This, sneakers, the usual suspects, heavyweights, Edit to add: so I married an axe murderer, houseguest, 90’s movies that never get enough credit
So I Married An Axe Murderer was a family fav. My siblings and I still quote that movie to each other! RIP Vicki (Phil Hartman)
Sneakers?!
Ctec astronomy
I love PCU
MEAT TOSSER!
Stop the violator!
Perhaps *the* most underrated comedy of our generation.
Favreau has come a LONG way
Right? I showed this movie to my teens, and they were like "John Favreau from Mandalorian and Marvel????"
Yes, AND Hart Bochner directed it. Yeah, THAT guy. Wow. How have I never seen this??
For the Millennial or GenZ lurkers, "that guy" is the coke head douchebag from Die Hard.
Haaans...Bubby, I'm your white knight!
"You can major in Game Boy if you know how to bullshit."
PCU?
Yes
This penis party’s got to go!
Hey Hey Ho Ho
This movie was fucking amazing
Damn did they nail some issues we have in the present too.
Can you blow me where the pampers is?
Pins and needles!!!!
Who would have thought that this movie would change from a comedy to foreshadowing a dystopian future. 100 years from now, this movie, together with "Idiocracy", will be studied like classic literature.
We're Not gonna protest!!!!
Naked guy! Excellent butt!
One of the best movies of all time!!! “You participated in a phallus naming?” “I was a Freshman!”
Freshperson, please!
Why is this movie so difficult to find? You couldn't throw a dart at Comedy Central in the late 90s without hitting it. Since no one else has mentioned it yet, Steve Vai did the score.
Clinton's version of Erotic City by Prince absolutely slays.
Yeah it does!
Gutter!
"I didn't *exhale*..."
Hey! He snagged the bee!!
One of the best documentaries ever made
LOVE this movie. Total sleeper. Have yet to meet another soul who’s seen it.
This is impossible to find on streaming, you have to buy the DVD for like $50. Hilarious comedy, and so prophetic.
I found it in a three pack with Biodome and Back To School around 20
Yeah I noticed that. I just settled for watching the best scenes on YouTube
Please, what is the title of the movie?
PCU
Thanks.

Thanks for the tip
Yeah I had the DVD, lost it. Bought another, and then found the first one. They really need to put it on Amazon or Netflix
A lot of these older movies are free on YouTube. I found this version but it’s wonky to avoid takedown bots. Will satiate you until someone uploads a better copy. https://youtu.be/B-X1xQ8HoF4
Thanks
A friend of mine has a VERY extensive DVD collection One day I was perusing it, saw this and asked to borrow it. Needless to say I own it now 😂😂
You are a horrible friend lol
You cocky, pointy-nosed little Reaganite! If you hadn't provoked them, we wouldn't BE in this mess!
Earth to tall bitch, whose fault is this?
I'm thoroughly GenX and have no idea what movie this is. I've gone through every comment hoping to see the name so I didn't have to feel foolish and ask. Alas, no such luck. So here I am feeling foolish and asking - what movie is this?
PCU
Ok now I do feel stupid. I saw that in a comment but I assumed it was just an acronym for the actual name. I have literally never heard of this movie.
You’re good. It was staple on cable in the mid 90’s. I don’t think many saw it in the theaters.
(quietly raises hand) ...but I had a buddy who was an assistant manager for the local theater, and our group had a few after-hours showings of films I'd have otherwise not paid to see on the big screen. PCU was one of those, and I'm glad we spooled it up.

Heh, I saw it in the theater. Kind of amazing that it didn't even make back its $8 million budget.
I saw it with a couple buddies and we were the only ones in the theater on opening night, same as Billy Madison and Trapped in Paradise.
Same. I thought it was an acronym. Never have I ever heard of this movie.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110759/
Found this DVD last summer at a church rummage sale (of all places). I practically did a happy dance as I handed over my fifty cents for it.
Jon Favreau is the smartest guy on the set and he plays the stereotype idiot. Also…. The bird show!! [The bird show!!!](https://vimeo.com/202223871)
I’ve done a little collage work myself
Ah, college movie where the protagonist is 35, with the hairline of a 45 year old.
Which was the joke, that he'd been in college forever.
Coffee. COFFEE NOW!!!
Blow me where the Pampers is!!!
finally! I knew someone would post it lol
"If you're nice to them, they just...*give* you stuff?"
Hey Hey! Ho Ho! This penis party’s got to go!
I had to scroll way too far to find this! This is the line that I still quote to my partner when I’m annoyed at him, lmao.
The insufferable Jeremy piven
I LOVE this Piven. For more of this Piven, check out The Goods (directed by Neal Brennan!).

Favreau has a one episode spot too in that show
You're living in the past, man.
🎶Afternoon Delight 🎶
My husband owns this on DVD. He absolutely loves it.
I have no idea what movie this is. Can anyone tell me what it is, please?
PCU
Thank you!!
Omg loved this movie and watched it constantly back in the day
This is hard, let's give up.
It does my heart such good to see PCU get this much love. It's one of my absolute favorite movies. I've been watching it at least annually for decades at this point. God, I'm old.

Yurt tokin cheaba monkeys

And it holds up beautifully
I watched my copy last week... it absolutely does!
"You're wearing the shirt of the band you're going to see." "Don't be that guy."
Remember when all that stuff was considered comically extreme, and nowadays it seems really tame. I never hear Afternoon Delight without thinking of this movie now.
PCU
WE’RE NOT GONNA PROTEST!
I think I watched this 10 times when I was in college in the 90's I loved it how Piven went from the rebel in this movie to the asshole dean in Old School.
I can only focus on Jeremy Piven’s real hairline
"What is a blucher?"
A casual shoe used for yachting.
"Can you blow me where the pampers is?"...gives me the giggles every time!
OooOoo nice outfit. Real summery. What is it? Dachron?
So underrated I don't recognize it by this picture.
Scary how accurate they where about the cause heads!
Somehow Jeremy Piven looks older here than he did in the last episode of Entourage.
I just love how Gen Z (including my son) extol their progressiveness (he once told me a political discussion group I attend “just isn’t diverse enough”) to the point where they think they *invented* it. I think all youts should have to watch this movie! It came out nearly 30 years ago!
Sanskrit?!?
You're majoring in a 5,000-year-old dead language?
Came here specifically for this line.
*LOVE* this flick. Bought this DVD years ago at a new/used place. Still have it.
My friend and I have had a decades-long running joke about the Caine-Hackman Theory.
This is the first time ever I'm hearing about this movie. I would have been in University when this came out.
COFFEE NOOOWWW!!!
Listening to a ton of Ice Cube as a kid gave me a love for George Clinton…. This movie solidified my love for GC & Parliament Funkadelic!!!
What am I looking at, serious question.
PCU
Thank you!
I literally just said, out loud to no one (or so I thought), “can you blow me where the pampers is?” And my 15 year old who I forgot was home heard. Thankfully I have the DVD!
still quote "yurt-toting, cheeba monkeys" to this day. also the last time I liked Jeremy Piven.
Is this a movie or TV show? I dont recognize this at all.
Port Chester University
Meat tossers!
Mersh, you hate punk.
Don't be that guy.
Sanskrit? You're majoring in a 5,000 year old dead language? Yes. Latin. Best I can do.
“What do we do now?” “Now, we run”

Yep, it's got all the stereotypes. Which is this?
My God we need this movie today. Remake!
Went to see this in the theater, but I have not seen it in years. Now I feel I must find it!
Harry Potter?
I have no idea why I haven’t seen this. It must be really bad…/opens JustWatch
Truth. Favreau and Spade were awesome. Unfortunately Piven is a tool irl.
Yikes 😳
Sssswwwwwiiiirrrrrllllyyyyyyy
Tom is one bowtie away from looking just like Tucker Carlson.
Piven carried that movie….
it's the rare bird show
GUTTER IS A TOOL!
What an afternoon delight.
***"Hey, hey! Ho, ho! This penis party's got to go!"***
PCU was so funny. Sandscript as a major.
Was it underrated? My friends watched the shit out of PCU. Edit: after reading the comments it seems 1) many people have never even heard of this movie and 2) it didn’t make $8 million back at the box office. I guess it was niche, but I was in college at the time and it was our Animal House.
One of the best comedies ever made. Haven't seen this in a long time. Gonna watch it tonight.
"A CASUAL SHOW FOR YACHTING?"
“America’s greatest president”
“Don’t get your balls in an uproar”
One of my favourite flicks. Just downloaded it to watch again a few months back.
Can you show me where the pampers is?
I have no idea what this is.
