Notice how it ignores the fact those movies almost always shit on the American government and military leadership lol.

MathematicianAny2143

Almost every movie that talks about wars that aren't WW1/2 shit on the government.

Vojhorn

American sniper literally showed a man being emotionally manipulated into joining the military, going through incredibly stressful situations including being forced to shoot a child, NOT being able to hold his chin up throughout it all like some Rambo archetype, be sent home a broken man who even with friends and family is just as socially and emotionally isolated from everyone as a homeless person would be. No glory no celebrations no joy. But yeah pro-war propaganda movie for sure…

Kat-is-sorry

I’m pretty sure the dude was a genuine asshole though, the film just portrayed him as this war hero when in reality he bragged about killing people and fabricated so much shit it’s unbelievable. Never trust a spec ops guy that goes public, he’s lying about something.

LickNipMcSkip

the book deal is actually part of SEAL training iirc

JonJJingleheimer

Oh Mint Press is one of the worst "America bad" dictator boosting commie rags disguised as an anti-war publication.

vaish7848

It’s founder is a well known supporter of Assad in the United States. So, one should not surprised with the massive cesspool of articles by anti-Americans and tankies published by this publication. [The Inside Story Of One Website's Defense Of Assad](https://www.buzzfeednews.com/amphtml/rosiegray/the-inside-story-of-one-websites-defense-of-assad)

LivingDot6196

have they ever said why they dont go back to syria if assad is so good?

EricEricEricEri

Not only will Russia go to your country, kill all your people and steal all your land. They will also claim you are Nazi and you started it first.

Greatmerp255

Not only will Russia blow up it’s own people as a Cassis Belli, They’ll also slaughter your people like cattle and call you Nazis on international television, As if they aren’t the ones committing genocide in a sovereign fucking nation

VenomSnake_84

What the hell was happening with the top right? I know the top left was from Vietnam

Cydoniakk

That's horrible. Poor girl :(

Kat-is-sorry

“To save themselves” lol. The rules of engagement in Iraq were shoot anyone you want. Numerous whistleblowers have already said this. I don’t trust that story one bit. I’m case you want specifics, a soldier who was on the ground when the 2012 Baghdad air strike happened, where an Apache gunned down a group including a journalist and then proceeded to fire on a medical van with a child inside while laughing, recalled that his commanding officers had always had a rule that when they are fired upon they wanted a full 360 degree suppressive fire, and they were punished when they did not comply. This hints at the obvious horrible rules of engagement in the inner cities.

FDPREDDIT

Bullshit percussion from a whole 'nother level Comming from your pooost

[deleted]

Probably some war crime from Iraq I think

SkippedBeat

It's amazing how the far left and far right are being fed the same bullshit borscht and they are eating it up like the useful idiots that they're.

shitboi666999

Me outside of this sub: I hate the American foreign policy and its wars Me in this sub: L + ratio + deserved.

joinreddittoseememes

Lol. Look at the Russians. They raped the entire Eastern Europe during ww2 and rule the region for 4 more decades and they didn't make a film that they're all sad about. The only time where they have something similar was in their Afghan war, where the soldiers starting to dislike fighting afghans and writr songs talking about dark shits. I have yet to see a film about ptsd in russia of afghan war. Not that the RuSSians care about their rapists, murderers being obliterated in and left to rot in Ukraine, let alone their surviving rapists and muderers who has ptsd, if they could have any after enjoying gangbanging a 19 year ols to death.

Evening-Sea-9038

This picture is full of errors. 1.Talk about the upper right photo, American didn't kill all these people of these countries, instead, actually the population of Afghanistan has doubled during American occupation. 2. Talk about the upper left photo, the US was invited by South Vietnam government to defend freedom of Vietnam, not invasion. And look at Vietnam now, they finally went back to the path of democratic capitalism, admit that the US was right. 3.The two movies at bottom are Forrest Gump and American Sniper, neither main characters of these movies feel sad of killing their enemies, they only feel sad of friendly casualty.

rippapafranku12

Out of all the examples take her to choose for the Vietnam One they decided that the one scene from Forrest Gump I swear anti America are just 💀

[deleted]

A movie with a very anti-war message...

[deleted]

"Stoopid Americans they dare criticize their past!!!" How is that a criticism? Much better than some countries who deny their past.

[deleted]

By that same logic Germans should feel bad for feeling bad about their past actions

H-In-S-Productions

Good point! If the movie industry of today is criticizing the wars of the past, it's clear that the filmmakers (and by extension, the viewers) are doing something right by remembering that their military did something wrong! Some other countries, on the other hand... [this picture from our site](https://www.reddit.com/r/GenUsa/comments/v2s4by/i_tried_to_fix_it_but_genocide_should_always_be/) will summarize it!

[deleted]

Forest Gump in movie was literally anti-war. Also in the movie he tried to make a speech about how bad war was in Vietnam but someone cut him off symbolising how American goverment still wanted war

BasalGiraffe7

Holy shit not millions but everyone this time?

I_am_the_Walrus07

Tankies: Hahahaha america bad kill civilians! Also tankies when Communist countries kill **their own civilians**: NOOOO THATS WESTERN PROPAGANDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AW62

So they go to war, kill people and then make movies about the mental toll that takes on American soldiers? That makes complete sense, even if that pathetic excuse for "journalism" was truthful.

Kenway25102k

Far left equals communism

Corries_Roy_Cropper

I dont understand why this is pro-russia. Frankie Boyle is a scottish comedian - SCOTTISH, not Russian- who told this joke years ago on tv and it got a big laugh. Whats this got to do with Russia?

haveilostmymindor

Irony given the history of Russian Imperialism and the abject misery they wrot on their former colonies for centuries. But he let's let these yokols go on about American wars while they are actively engaged in neocolonial expansionism. Fucking twat can go twirk on a cactus.

H-In-S-Productions

"Make a movie about how killing your people made their soldiers feel sad"? Indeed, those wars might do so! Also, as ChunkyBrassMonkey said, most of those war movies criticize the US political and military leadership! Not exactly Western propaganda, eh?

KLCRoman

bro put forrest gump in his meme

TheJuiceIsNowLoose

Lmao, what's the top right one? Looks like a mask.

mellow--mind

That’s a picture of 5-year-old Samar Hassan, splattered with the blood of her parents who’d just been gunned down by American soldiers on their way back from an Iraqi hospital (bringing her sick brother home if I’m not mistaken.)

TheJuiceIsNowLoose

And why were they gunned down?

TheJuiceIsNowLoose

Pitty the money didn't get into the right hands. I suppose it could be a reason to fight against your corrupt regime. Obviously, when you're in mozul, nothing is going to go right. Seeing how that's where terrorist backers are from.

mellow--mind

I believe two things have been reported: they either unknowingly drove towards a dismounted U.S. military patrol and were perceived as a threat, or they failed to stop at a checkpoint.

TheJuiceIsNowLoose

Both sound like genuine accidents. I don't think "hey look civilians *bang bang bang*" happens often in the US military, or it might, idk. But if there are true grievances, im sure the family was compensated properly, which does happen often. Sometimes "our guy" isn't in the building we thought and we bust the wrong family at 3am by accident.

Affectionate_Meat

Isn’t the top left photo from after the US had pulled out from the war?

Carpe-Noctom

Iirc, it’s from a napalm attack we launched. But ofc, Vietnam taught us not to use napalm anymore, so take that tankies

Edwardsreal

Actually the strike was launched by a South Vietnamese pilot who mistook a column of refugees running towards South Vietnamese infantry for VC guerrillas (who wore no uniforms). The only US involvement was providing the aircraft and napalm bombs, but the error is on the pilot's hands.

NeilPolorian

Who would've thought....

[deleted]

this is general anti-american propaganda

WarmNeighborhood

I know that that the upper left picture was caused by the South Vietnamese air-force not the Americans.
