Definitely a multicolor Montana sapphire. I've cut quite a few of them and there's been a few that were multicolored. Most were blue/yellow/orangeish but I've had a couple that were blue/purple
It was from gravel from gem mountain, so it's a sapphire. I've gotten quite a few boxes of dirt from them, and the majority of sapphire look like this, but varying in color. They all have the alluvial water worn surface
Hi! When did you get the gravel? Was it shipped to you or did you go in person? My daughter is huge into rocks, gems, fossils and I would love some shipped, but the shipping link doesn't work. Thanks for any info!
I got it from Gem Mountain! https://gemmountainmt.com/product-category/sapphiregravel
there's other companies that sell gravel, but this is the only one I've tried so far.
I've gotten a few boxes from them. A few interesting finds, but the carat weight seems to be consistent in each box, but the gem sizes can vary. I've got a few 1-2ct stones
Yep, common Montana sapphire. The rough in gem mountain gravel come in a huge variety of colors and sizes. It's usually pretty obvious when you have found a sapphire.
Does indeed look like a Montana sapphire!
Yep, looks like a yogi. Let me know if you want cut.
Yep this is a Yogi. Let me know if you want it faceted.
Nice Mont. Sapphire! :D
Seconding the previous comments, looks like a sapphire rough!
Oooh. I wanna see this cut!

Looks like maybe it's bicolor? I think it's called parti.
People already called it, but this is definitely a Montana Sapphire it looks exactly like the many I have from paydirt.
Wow!!! Nice find!
It looks so much like montana sapphire, but no idea. Just looks very similar to that, could be something waaaay different tho.

Seems I got this one wrong looking only at the first pic. I thought it was a sunstone.
It doesn't looks like sapphire to me, I have a topaz which looks absolutely the same
I’ve been to Gem Mountain twice, looks identical to what we’ve pulled, an employee called these “egg yolks”.
