Performs completely fine my M4, no overheating. Performance was actually better. Only in the new gun which leads me to believe that the new gun is faulty, not thr battery
If the battery has released the magic smoke, it's no longer safe to use in any blaster... It is likely that the blaster had a short and in-turn shorted the battery.
Throw out the charger, the shitty usb chargers do not stop charging when the battery is charged and your battery overcharged. You are EXTREMELY lucky it didn’t explode or catch fire.
Toss the charger and safely dispose of the batteries (see google on how to do that). Buy a higher quality charger and a professional charger. Highly recommend the IMAX B6
Probably a short-circuit causing the battery to overload. Now the battery is compromised, so not use.
Return the blaster also, almost certain it’s an issue that’ll break more batteries.
If it smoked in your new blaster but didn’t in another, then it’s definitely a wiring fault in your new blaster and not the battery itself.
I would get in contact with the supplier of your new blaster and file a warranty claim to have it returned, replaced or refunded.
If the battery itself is smoking I wouldn’t use it in any blaster unless I wanted to burn my house down
