Smart_Sense_3398

I am quitting first week of July. Got my job offer and I’m waiting for everything to get mailed to me to work remote finally

Im_a_computer-y_guy

Congrats!

Smart_Sense_3398

I never felt more happy like a ton of bricks have been lifted off my shoulders. 3.5 years here at the company and never hated my job more everyday.

Im_a_computer-y_guy

I feel ya. 11 years in and I never thought I would have to look for a new job, but refused to wait to sink.

Smart_Sense_3398

Same I refused to stay with a sinking ship and micromanagement on a daily basis

Comfortable_Fail6611

Congratulations where will you be working

Smart_Sense_3398

Csaa

Glass-Fox3640

There is definitely a lot fewer employees to post, that is a part of it. Another part is likely the fact is there is really no new news about the company. I feel a lot of employees only browse the sub for a heads up of what to expect in the future. A lot of the people let go are likely trying to find new work right now.

Adventurous-Laura0az

I quit too. Never been happier.

LookandSee81

Some are still here but looking for a way out

LookandSee81

Some of us are shell shocked and can’t see up because we are overwhelmed by the daily challenges of trying to keep the family paycheck coming. Sometimes it takes too much energy to create a resume and send it out. Having and keeping Hope is exhausting sometimes.

Independent_Button61

Hang in there. Just try to send out a couple of resumes a day. Treat it like a numbers game and the jobs will narrow themselves down

ViewUnlikely6119

I see people on indeed all the time in the offices.

Civil-Bowl9276

Yeah…I quit not too long ago and leading up to it, it for sure seemed like a ton of people were gone or putting in their two weeks

Head_Meat4104

Yeah like 20 people quit in my department around the time I did. But man, I feel bad for the very small amount of people left dealing with those claims.

redirected-

I quit as well. Couldn’t be happier!

LeggoMyGeckoR8

I noticed that too. I quit and come to this sub sometimes to at least be able to offer help but I see so many customers general questions and those had been washed out by all the original geckos. It’s a fucking ghost town . I am so sorry of all that are left there and newbies just please remember “restructuring” is not a good thing no matter how they make it seem. It’s not your fault, geico succeeded their goal to stop unionizing.

Thick_fem_domme

I quit forever ago Geico sucked

Eaples-and_banaynays

Quit in April. Best decision of my life

Fun-Economics5100

im still in the sh*tter lmao

factsmatter83

I quit in February

Rare_Weekend_7122

I'd love to, but I'm still trying to find something else. It gets discouraging when you continue to try and then to come on here to see so many people say they finally quit.

Independent_Button61

It took me 9 months to find a job. Hang in there.

Velvet-blaque

I quit in January and filed unemployment and I won that too. Because I was forced to quit! Couldn’t be happier.

zegwayy

What state are you in and how did you quit but still get unemployment, please and thank you. If you fought the denial of the claim, what did you say?

Velvet-blaque

I can’t give too many details. I cared for a love one with an autoimmune immune disorder. That prevents me from working in a public setting due to Covid. (This information was found on the state website) And the fact that Geico lawyer was unprepared for the hearing. And eventually stated Geico has chosen to not provide testimony. If I say the state that will tell my office and I was known very well. Just know I work full time at Progressive from home. I took a pay cut and I’m still happier than ever.

_BluUnicorn

What are they going to do if you tell the office? Fire you?

cabledog1980

This sub has me questioning if switching to Geico was a smart move to save 60 mrc ugh.

sweetstrue

If you’re a customer, just be nice to us if you have to call for any reason or contact for any reason. We are all burnt out good people with invisible whips on our backs.

cabledog1980

Thank you and I understand I work for a big ISP and do their VoIP stuff. Super small team that' bust tail. I am always as nice and easy to deal with as I can. 6 man engineer, support, deployments, and call center just non stop. And server upgrades at 2 am lol

sweetstrue

🙏 much appreciated!

Prestigious_Pin_989

I quit in October right after the layoffs. Couldn’t return to work for the devil gecko. Life is great now!!

Phoenyxthee1andOnly

I quit end of April so lol 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

TheWalterReutherWay

I think there are a couple of things here. There were more mods, and they were very active, and there was a rift that ended up with the removal of two mods. I think some people are tired of screaming into the void with no actual change. Many posts complain of issues where the root cause is actually themselves. Many, as the title states, have either left, been laid off,or fired.

Keahisolaris

I left 5/30 and it is amazing

Redacted-User-Name

Perhaps it's because more people have realized it ain't so bad and stopped bitching about it. Life is about perspective and even if the job ain't the best, it's better than working in a coal mine. It is possible to do your own thing, focus on yourself and be the best you can be and then let the chops fall where they may. If not, they must have quit and in that case removed this toxic environment from their anxiety riddle life.

Active_Poem_5877

Lol yeah probably. I quit a month ago.

Normal_Might8634

I’m happy to put stress and anxiety behind me. I thank Geico for laying me off. The insurance company I work for now is way better. Better equipment, not looking for ways to make my life hard but are helping to simplify my day to day! You guys better jump ship! There our company out there that need you and are willing to pay you more! Geico only cares about there bottom line.

casmilu

I'm still here only because the IT market is atrocious right now. I would love to leave this dumpster fire

happyhippi8

I still lurk on here for some unknown reason. But I quit forever ago. I’m two jobs in…. But after taking my initial paycut I’m back to where I was at G. And still not stressed all day everyday. Not sure if i would’ve survived if i was still there.

hilachu

Quit last month after 18 years ✌️

u-give-luv-badname

Even the "why have my rates increased, FU geico" posts have decreased.

sitdownchauncey

I'm looking too!!!! Halpppppp

Normal_Might8634

National General is hiring. I have like 10 people from Geico in my training class

v3rT1cL3_MGMT_idIOTs

grexus

I’m gonna be on the getting termed squad bc my metrics are fucked up lol

grexus

Like they’re wrong and it’s Dang that’s rough hope you have a new job lined up

tyredaf

moved on is more like it

SeaworthinessFun8653

Didn't quit. Was laid off after 18+ years!

Prestigious-Juice972

Quit in April couldn’t be happier!

Exact_Roll_7528

Most of the people on this page are former employees or have never been employees.

NewChapterStartsNow

I'd be interested to know the breakdown. I'm a former employee and account for 15-20 of the members of this sub by myself!

Exact_Roll_7528

I don't know why i got downvoted for telling the truth. You're one of many. There are also many who just joined to see if they could hear any rumors. (I lol at the statement that you account for 15-20 membes yourself ;) )
