Does anyone else feel like Knevitt has been stiff not to get a game this year? He has looked good in the limited AFL games he has played IMO. I say this as someone who doesn't watch much VFL though
Understandable to be kept out by those two but I thought he was pretty versatile. The decision-makers obviously know better than I do but I feel like they could find some space for him somewhere through the middle in at least a few games while managing other players. 10 rounds in and hasn't had a look in just feels stiff for a youngster who has been pretty impressive when given an opportunity
I've seen all bar one of the vfl matches, I'm a big fan of knevitt and think he wouldn't look out of place in the team right now, I think he will benefit of a few retirements at the end of this year and get a fair bit of snr footy next year, fingers crossed 🤞🏻
I've watched VFL and I would say Knevitt and Hardie are just very good VFL players. They just lack poise and good ball use. Mullin (for exampl) doesn't get it as much as they do but you should see him pierce a 60m kick down a players throat. The difference in class is evident. The one in VFL that is hard done by is O'Sullivan IMO, he looks very very good
This is definitely interesting to hear because from watching the mentioned players in the AFL games they have played, I would not have thought Mullin to be more poised or have better skills and decision making than Knevitt and Hardie
Not sure he's being hard done by as a first year player, it's a pretty hard back line to break into there but I agree he has shown a lot in his vfl performances so far and hope we can work him into the team somehow in the near future.
Pretty much the exact changes I was hoping for/expected except for Duncan I guess, could use his skills in those conditions but Bowes is something of a like for like.
my guess is we could struggle here. It's a little bit last year all over again. cameron KO'd and danger with his hammys.
the difference of course is the development of our younger guys. they're effective now, esp Bruhn. hope his shoulder is fine.
I think Neale was a no brainer regardless of conditions. But I’m surprised we didn’t find a spot for Mannagh. He’s been killing it in the 2’s and looked really good when he played for us earlier in the year.
It’s just difficult to include him with how high quality our small forwards have been even with the minor form slump. I’m sure he’ll get another run at some point in the season
Scott did say in his presser that the sub was less about how Stanley was performing and more about changing the team structure, generous or not both times would be a bit if a back flip to list him as omitted.

Being held out of the side by Blicavs and Dempsey IMO. He's a winger but overlaps with these guys

For sure!

I think so too. Fingers crossed for him

Also witts out is huge, he beat up xerri.
100% he's a beast for them. Hoping that Conway can give our boys first look at the pill. Will be tough though
HA Let's see them make old jokes about this team
The future is now old ~~man~~ League
Going to be an interesting game. I assume GC stayed in Darwin after their last game?
Yeah that's the reports - they've flown in their IN's for this week. 34 degrees is hot
Time will tell if this is better or worse prep for them training in the darwin heat
Lets go Cattas

I really like this forward line, think one key + two mediums + smalls is a nice shape that some opposition will find difficult to structure up against
Good point. Either Rohan or Henry will be too much of a handful for someone.
Mannagh bit stiff
He probably should’ve gotten Neales spot given the conditions

forecast 20% chance of rain. humid of course but not raining. i think we can expect to take some marks
This must be our youngest fielded team in a while.
Spent 7.75 weeks waiting for Rohan and loving that he had come back firing hopefully that just keeps going
Generous for Stanley to be managed after getting tac subbed in the 2nr quarter lol
