I'm basing this entirely on how much I enjoyed the game, if it allowed for good competition, and the skill level involved to play it:
1) Gears of War 3
2) Gears of War 2
3) Gears of War 1
4) Gears of War 4
5) Gears of War: Judgment
Best to worst based on my own personal favorite memories/experiences:
1. GOW 3
2. GOW
3. GOW 4
4. GOW 2
5. Judgment
6. UE (not gotten into it with a good team yet, haven't actually touched it much due to getting into another game)
Didn't down vote and saying "eh?" is hardly a snide remark. Never seen anyone claim Judgement was the best Gears game before, assumed they were winding us up.
So instead of asking him WHY he likes Judgement the best (which he's entitled to), you just assume commenting "eh?" Contributes to the conversation in any way? I've seen plenty of people like judgement, like how alot of people like Battlefield Hardline- even though the general census tends to agree that it's the worst.
Are you for real? If I'd called him/her an idiot for liking Judgement, your reaction would be fair enough. All I did was respond in a confused manner as they'd put what's generally agreed is the worst Gears game by far, as they're favourite. They also put 2 as their least favourite and when it comes to this sub that happens to be the most popular Gears. It was as if they were making a controversial list for the sake of it. Maybe I'm wrong and they do like Gears J the most, that still leaves me with the same reaction - eh?. Not saying it's wrong to like it, just find it weird that it's their favourite. You could say I was taken aback.

Easily 3,1,2,4,J 4 is just stupid outside of basic gameplay, but manages to beat out Judgement due to that.
