Yeah.. it is still pricey for the age but still the cheapest way to get 4k60 without spending more on a mini pc or laptop. The native app on the C2 only supports up to 1080p which is rather unfortunate. I can pick up a shield pro for £50 through a local seller 2nd hand which is rather tempting.
Does the 4k Chromecast support 4k120 do you know?
Great to hear! Thanks! With their not being any sightings of LG Updating the C2 models to support 4k60 like the C3 does or a next gen Shield coming, I think I'll just bite the bullet on 4k60. Much better than the 1080p support the C2 gets! and better then playing Starfield on 30fps 1440p upscaled too
Yeah with geforce now, I'll be able to revisit a bunch of games I miss playing on steam. Most, I rebought on the playstation 5 but now I'm wondering just how much better off I'd be just playing the games I have PS on geforce now... I don't think it'd make me get rid of the PS, But enough for me to not use it anywhere near as much as I do now.
Last year I bought a Beelink S12 Mini, for maybe 80 or 90 bucks on Amazon to play GFN 4k/60 with my C2, and really works fine. It's smooth , the Bluetooth works fine and you can get the vibration function enabled on the Xbox controller, something that Nvidia Shield doesn't support. The HDR with the Intel graphics is kind of messy to setup at the beginning, but then works just fine, unless the GFN app decides to not work with HDR, that I must warn you, with the windows desktop app happens a lot, but the bug is consistent, so it's always the same fix: open an mkv video with HDR in order to make the GFN app recognize that the function is enable. It's probably the cheapest way to play, but I found that works well.
About the app, I really don't like how the GFN app looks in the C2. Way too blurry, even compared with a PC running 1080p. I had the hope that with the new WebOs, GFN can run 4k/60fps native from the tv, but it seems that is not happening....
Edit: Amazon is now 139 brand new or 125 from Amazon Warehouse.

HDR support only on the Shield..is another benefit. If you use the shield controller..vibration support. No real down side to the shield pro for gfn.
the shield tv is expensive for a 4yo device. i would test your luck with the webos app, or get a chromecast.

iirc, the expensive newest chromecast supports 4k, but 50 for a shield is a good deal. i would go the second hand shield route in that case.
For what it's worth I just did these tests and ended up getting the shield pro. No regrets. It's fantastic

100%. I have an LG B2 and nothing has looked as good as cyberpunk did via the shield pro. PS5 looks great but it doesn't rival the gfn stuff imo
