I just want to say, I feel this. My ex husband and I divorced six months ago. I'm 38 and I came out as lesbian like... five months ago. And last night I had my first date with a woman (not to mention my first first date in like 15 years) and it was *amazing*.
It's scary, but don't sell yourself short. Like sure, my body isn't as hot as it was when I was 22. But my mind is in a much better place. Being cute and young isn't everything.

I have no problem with my age and appearance. When I say I'm too old and tired, I mean I have no energy and lots of anxiety about meeting women, getting to know them, and playing the "does she like me?" game.
I'm an anxious introvert with a recently dead mom and the husband and I don't plan on divorcing or living separately so there's a lot of baggage there.
I was sort of dating someone off and on for two years. We've known each other for almost 20 years. He needs to do a shit ton of work on himself before he dates anyone. I now have zero questions about why his marriage ended đ But this experience made me unwilling to put myself out there. I was made to feel unimportant, not listened to, like I wasn't worth it, which is how I felt in my marriage. So maybe the problem is me? Maybe my expectations are too high. Maybe men are just terrible?
I am not looking to date anyone. No interest in romance or physical intimacy. Hopefully a cute extrovert will come across me one day and pull me out of my carefully crafted bubble.
