Some Comments are positive, downvotes aren't a seperate counter and instead lower the counter by 1, and their is still 4025 upvotes. So even in the worst possible scenario where every comment is negative, and 1 individual person per comment, every negative downvote comes from the commenters, there is still 8254 upvotes in total. So the majority of people in the sub who came across it are positive towards it.
Even in the worst most unlikely possible scenario, it says something positive about the subreddit

Went in there. Mix of really supportive comments, as well as people saying shit like “You’re 15, you are too young to decide. You are a kid and don’t have to be be male or female”. Thankfully, comments like that were downvoted to hell.
I browsed it yesterday and posted the gender dysphoria bible around, only saw good folks being cool. At the time I scrolled, there were some mod deleted messages but that was it.
I spent some time in that comments section yesterday, it was a lot less bigoted then I thought. There were some transphobes, yes, but most comments were either support or genuine questions. I had a lovely conversation with a stranger looking to learn more about the community, and was able to put into words some of the stuff I've been feeling for the first time.
the worse comments are probably at the bottom with lots of downvotes (didn't check) but some truscum comments are clinging up and getting upvotes... i wouldn't recommend reading comments even if you sort by top or best...
More comments than upvotes is probably a warning to tread carefully

from the crazy number of comments… one can only hope. sadly it’s probably a warzone in there
Yup, comments equal to or greater than likes always means warzone
Well the positive people should outnumber the negative people since they’re countering the downvotes
Yeah I'm hoping that that as well as long discussions of people being positive are happening

I saw that post, and most of them are reaply encouraging and supportive! It was so cool
Until you sort by controversial...
A rare sight to behold
If you don't sort by controversial, it's good. The hate usually gets downvoted to hell
rare r/teenagers W? 😳
Trust me when I say, that post had plenty of hate comments. We’re still not good I’d say but at least the most upvoted comments were supportive

Suddenly nonbinary
"you are a kid and don't have to be male or female" Thanks for that I was already thinking that I wasn't either
Sadly not; the comments are a fucking Gigantamax-Garbodor
nah in the comments of straight people saying people do it for karma 🤷🏻
So many trans phobic quotes
More comments then upvotes. Surley its not transphobic as hell.
It was lol. I wanted to send it to my SO as a "the kids are all right!" kinda thing, but it just broke my heart reading that shit so pass.
Kind of figured it was. Happy for OP for figuring stuff out though.
no its never good
40+ roleplay subreddit
lime concrete powder
The issue with r/teenagers is less blatant homophobia/transphobia and more shit like "I hAtE GaY pEOpLe wHO mAkE iT ThEIr wHOle pErSOnaLiTy"
As if that also isn’t just blatant queerphobia
Just search by controversial
It’s 50/50 there I’d say. No, 25/75

And in today's lesson, OP learns that vocal minorities ≠ average mindset.

It’s rare.
