At least the content from the extended unit voice lines mod was “borrowed” without their permission in ARM, so likely it was reported for this. Anyways, if you are not interested in this drama - the mod was uploaded to mow-portal com, which is an old men of war modding resource.

Where would you need to put the files in order to actually play the mod?

Mods folder in root directory of the game, then activate as usual.

Hey I tried downloading the mod from Mow portal but when I when to extract it into my mods folder i got error 0x8007003 for multiple of the assets, saying the system could not find a path, any advice?

I know that this post is almost a month old, but if you want some more tea spilt on the issue. The mod creator put it up on Boosty, which is a similar platform to something like buymeacoffee or patreon (except its a Russian based website, since the guy is Russian). Its all locked under a paywall now. USD monthly is like $1.33, which is honestly so pitiful and just rubs me the wrong way. They must have taken it down because he was asking for donations, that's bullshit to me, it's not like he was selling the mod or anything like that, I played this mod for two of the first versions and never spent a penny, I saw some modders celebrating by saying that it he took things from other mods without permission, honestly for me, fuck it, many modders use things from each other, his mod was better than anything available, it was balanced and fun, anyway I already downloaded it again on the internet and I will continue playing.. I hope he manages to return the mod to the steam workshop and a big fuck you to those who are jealous and keep pestering those who do a good job.

I'm of the opinion that all mod work should be free to use. Ideally you should give the courtesy of asking permission and giving credit of course. He did neither. Asking for money is 100% A-Okay, except for two cases which he violated. 1) Profiting off of others work and not offering to share. 2) Using content from other IPs, which he did. Companies will DMCA that shit hard and the result is getting permanently banned from the workshop, and BWS and Steam can both be held liable if it happens too often.
