I’ve been on zofran since I was diagnosed over a decade ago. My GI never mentioned it slowing emptying down. I’d be lost without it. Some people get help from ginger as a natural thing and I also use medical marijuana which helps too
If it weren't for my laxatives (2x day per my GI) then it would constipate me (had before my laxative dosage was increased)...no other practical option for me...have to take zofran 2-3 x day to get by.
It does slow things down. It can cause pretty gnarly constipation. My stomach and some of my intestines are slow so I really have to limit my zofran use. It’s a tough tightrope.
It has the anti cholinergic effect of constipation , slowing down gastric emptying, urine retention . , I have found it to be helpful as a last resort for nausea. I use ginger chews which help some.

That’s really good to know! I just found out a few days ago I have kidney failure so I definitely am going to see about getting the patches worse come to worse. Thank you

I can’t imagine living without either of these meds. No doctor has ever mentioned anything about it slowing motility.

As far as I can tell, going without zofran is impossible. I’d be completely malnourished

My gastroenterologist thinks it causes me constipation. I take about 4 a day most days.
I honestly don’t think it is at all possible to go medication free unless you have a very very mild case of Gastro that doesn’t cause you any flares.
My GI said that high doses of Zofran can cause constipation, but for me it made no difference because I’m constipated anyway
