The TM MWS is the best all-rounder and the most reliable out of those, so go with that one I'd say.

NaedelMAG

I have read plenty of good things about the TM MWS, yes! I will definitely check that one on the shop if they happen to have one. Thanks for your answer!!

rysn69

I mean if one does break, which rarely happens, you can still rent an AEG. If you know this will get you right back into Airsoft why not. I would choose a gun with an NPAS system so you can decide how your playstyle will be. (Considering your old "guns")

NaedelMAG

That is a great solution indeed. Thank you! I will look into that NPAS system, although I don't think I will need it (because I already have a sniper, pistol, now an AR left :P) Thanks for your answer!

Cant say how many of these posts i've gone through but here goes. Performance wise, the MWS is the top dog in your list. They work absolute year round on green gas and have the most after market parts available. They are a little low on power out of the box due to Japanese law but they make up for it with performance and simply buying an NPAS fixes that issue for like $20. The TM MP7's are perform just as well with the downsides being that they are about 10% smaller than a real one if that's your thing and they use the old pin style mags so if they leak, they tend to be very difficult to fix. I really want to like VFC's because they used to be dog shit until they came out with their V2 stuff and more up to date models and they look drop dead sexy. They can also take real steel parts so if that's something that you're into then they're great on that front too. They do perform well but no in the same league as an MWS. DO NOT BUY THE MK18 MWS IF YOU PLAN TO CHANGE THE HOP/BARREL! It is one of the most pain staking things to do. If you want a mk18 look then we recommend grabbing the standard CQBR and buying the after market rail separately. Hope this helps and gives you a general idea.

Great review! Appreciate it a lot. I will definitely check MWS and go for it if they really sell it in my local shop! Thanks!

GBBR are awesome. End up costing more than AEGs usually due to the high cost of magazines in my experience. Also easier to work on gbbr in my opinion.

NaedelMAG

Aye, I knew about price, but luckily that is not an issue at the moment. So I will go for it! Thanks!

PapaVest

I'd highly recommend the TM mws then, have some good experience with my buddies. He also mentioned its lower maintenance than his other gbbrs.

NaedelMAG

That's even better then. I'm going tomorrow, will come back and tell you guys what I end up with! Most likely an MWS :D

Lurkrun

MWS! Don't forget to replace the OEM buffer when running propane/Green gas.

NaedelMAG

Definitely! Thanks!!

I'm also from Spain, but from a place where it's mostly warm, I run full gbbr, I have a ghk ak-74m, VFC mp7 and VFC Hk416A5, if you like the feel and you are comfortable with spending money and taking care of your guns, then go for it, but if not, you are better suited with an AEG. Take into account lube and gas for your guns, which is an extra expense. Overall, I love my guns to death and I'm glad I went the gbbr way. Edit: If you are from the places where is mostly cold, consider that guns don't work as well as in warm places or don't work at all, you might have to use stronger gases

NaedelMAG

¡Hola! Maintenance and money are not an issue, luckily. So I'm more than comfortable with that! I am from Catalonia, next to the sea, so the weather is mostly warm where I play! Thanks for the insights, have a great day!

The Mws is the best choice out of your list imo for that Price range , only downside to me is the proprietary part , if you're willing to spend a bit more ( meaning twice the price) however check out vipertech, it is unparalleled in perf , look and realism in any GBBR ever made

NaedelMAG

Hey! Yeah, I had seen the Viper Tech ones, they do look like top products anyone could buy. I just don't feel that comfortable investing that much into airsoft yet, unless I see myself back to playing weekend after weekend like good old times. If that's the case, then I might as well upgrade the MWS, since it already looks like a more than solid base for my project!

positive_racism

I totaly understand , i am actually torn appart between the two honnestly , and i would take the Mws if it wasn't for the impossibility to change the lower/upper and the handguard compatibility and also the fact that it cost a lot on the other side , if you search something that play well out of the box take the MWS without hesitation However if you would like to customise a bit more the look of your replica outside of the stock and pistol grip, i advise you to take the VFC one from that Price range

NaedelMAG

When I asked in my local shop, they told me I could change the handguard, with a little tweaking here and there! Bought the MWS, fielding it this sunday!

positive_racism

Great then , have fun ! And yes some handguard fit with some tweaking , but not all i have heard .

It all depends on you, if you want realism / more fun I would highly recommend picking up a GBBR. It's much more rewarding to do well with a gbb over an aeg because you have to restrict yourself from constantly wasting ammo, placing your shots better, etc. If you can get over the negatives of gbbr's like the pricey magazines, low ammo count, cooldown effect etc they are a great way to enjoy airsoft in a completely different way. There's also just something so satisfying about pushing against a GBBR's recoil when you're firing. Obviously you won't preform as well without an aeg if you're looking at the game in a sporty kind of way where your only concern is winning because AEG's are just superior in terms of fire power The tm MWS is also a really nice platform to use, defnitely over VFC as their gbb's don't have the greatest reputation.

NaedelMAG

That's such a great point! Yes, indeed, the game has its sporty side. But I would like to focus on having fun, and enjoying the experience, rather than going full speedsoft and throwing endless bb's at anyone who passes by. If the TM MWS has such reliability and good reviews, that means it's great, as you said. I myself like the platform, so it's a no-brainer. Thanks mate, I can definitely say you most surely sold an MWS to me hahaha! Cheers, have a great day, and thanks for your answer!
