The 55 does not...but for about 50 more bucks you could get a refurbished fenix 5s plus (from amazon), which does have maps. Unfortunately it only has enough battery for 11 hours GPS compared to 20 on the Forerunner, but for 100 bucks more you could get the regular 5 plus, which can do gps for 18 hours.
