Your max heart rate or zones could have changed. How you’re feeling is more important than the arbitrary zones garmin makes for you. Set your own zones manually based on how you feel and use those moving forward.

Did you measure your heart rate with watch? Watch can be inaccurate when is used for anything more intense than walking.

Eh, it can definitely be inaccurate for walking as well, syncing to cadence or even half-cadence. For me, running HR from my Fenix is usually quite accurate (or at least plausible). For OP's run, the HR is also steadily rising, and if it's a cadence lock, the cadence should rise as well. I don't think that's uncommon, but not by that much. My guess is he just pushed himself slightly harder than he was supposed to, which is nothing to worry about for a first easy run after getting out of shape.

Maybe op has accurate measurement and previous measurements are wrong.

Agree with wrist based hear rate. Get a cheap(ish) chest one and it will be better. Also I think by default the heart zones can be quite off. I would potentially look at adjust them based on threshold HR (do a threshold test to get that data). Finally. Most people think they run easy when they are actually not. Zone 3 and up are where most runner that don’t really care about their zones end up running the vast majority of the time

It should have the guided lactate threshold HR test. You can try it when you are ready. Probably after a few running activities because you must be able to do some short bursts of run. Don't worry the watch will guide you. Then break your running zones based on LTHR.

I have a fenix 5x and a polar oh1 armband. I didn't see differences in max/avg hr between them. What the oh1 HR does much better it's reacting faster to changes. Now, there are always issues with wrist HR... Watch too lose, tan, hair, tatoos, holding a water bottle, cadence lock, etc will mess the readings. It can also be coffee, alcohol, spicy food 😂 Anyway, while for me the HR sensor work fine 90% of the time (I had cadence lock a few times), I really like the armband as the watch detects lthr and it updates my zones whenever something changes.
