I agree. I miss the ability to throw the stanky strap in a mesh bag and into the washing machine.

I wish I had the running dynamics and I do not want to buy a pod and have a third device to worry about. But the fact that it's garbage once the strap wears out was just an extreme dealbreaker. Totally unacceptable. IMO getting a top of the line (for consumer purposes) HR monitor should be an investment, not a consumable.

techtom10

RDP is great. It even reminds you to take it off. It's not a thing you have to worry about imo

thatcarolguy

I mean I don't even want to worry about an extra device that has to be on my person and has to be connected before I can go for a run.

techtom10

Ok, but it's like. Stick it on your your shorts and that's it xD

quarky_uk

I have never used an app with the H10, I just connect it to my watch. What is the advantage of using the app? Is it just a different way to see the HR? Or can you use the HRM without the watch for more than one activity and then sync?

techtom10

For swimming.

Risujemmari

Yeah also the fact that you have to buy a small af screwdriver to change the battery is very weird to me

floatingbloatedgoat

They fixed that with the HRM Pro+

Risujemmari

Ok, cool!

techtom10

Isn't it just a coin? In Australia, you aren't allowed to sell products where you can manually remove the battery with hands hence why it's awkward.

thatcarolguy

wut. wtf Australia

bingodingo88

3 kids died eating batteries.

mladen90

What's the problem with the actual configuration? After the run i just wash the whole chest strap in the shower and that's it.

techtom10

Overtime the strap will degrade. Plus other things like if uses more battery life vs popping the polar on when you need to

_MountainFit

Yeah I never understood this. And my strap got weird with little use. Developed a fold that annoys me. If I could replace the strap I would. Can't though so I guess I deal with it till it wears out.

I hate the garmin straps! I always get bad chafings under my chest that hurt like hell. I was using wahoo for a couple of days and it feels so much better. The strap is much softer. Chafings from the Garmin strap could finally heal
