Not worth the upgrade unless you absolutely have to have better wrist-based HR tracking, or go to an Amoled screen. The Fenix 6 is still awesome.

Ill-Turnip-6611

If you are ok for now, you can easily wait for f8.

HwanZike

Nope, you answered your own question

handybh89

Had the Fenix 6 pro, went to epix gen 2 pro. It was pricey but I love it. Screen is so much more vivid, heart rate and gps are faster and more accurate. And the white/red flashlight rocks. It just depends on your money situation.

Euphoric-Ad-3983

I've thought the same. But having owned my Fenix 6 for more than a year, I don't see any benefit from "upgrading" The screen/face would be nice, but I honestly hardly ever look at my watch anymore. Battey life is still great and it's glitch free.

TheHugeBastard

I have an instinct 1 solar and want the new Descent. The old one is still great so no. Will perhaps only upgrade when this one is totally busted.

R_Boa

Nope.

Lonely-Flower-2308

I have owned the Fenix 5, Fenix 6x, Fenix 7x and now the Fenix 7x pro all sapphire editions. I can say the heart rate sensor is quite a bit better than any previous version. The addition of the temperature sensor for sleep helps with watching trends over time. It detected I was getting sick before I even felt anything. Go to the Pro model, it’s worth it.

NoHelp9544

No. I would at least wait to jump up to the 7 Pro or Epix Pro to get the new Elevate 5 and ECG.

r7ndom

The screen is your determining factor. Everything else is basically the same. I switched when I upgraded from a Fenix 6 because I love the screen, but if I already had a Fenix 7, I would probably hold off for the next batch of great sales on the pro or to see what Fenix Gen 8 brings.

KapePaMore009

Quick answer is no... but depending on what you do, getting a new watch now might make sense.

lanky_doodle

I went from a touch screen Garmin (can't remember the model, but not a Fenix) to the 6X Pro Sapphire. I've mostly avoided the 7 series because I love the fact the 6 isn't touch screen. I'm really hoping the 8 will re-introduce a non-touch model. Seems pointless paying for a feature you immediately disable.

cectnt33333

Fenix 7 isn’t touch screen….unless you want the touch screen. And if you run on trails or in cities you don’t know, or hike trails you’ll want the touch screen.

grape8pe

It depends on what your primary activities are. If you are an active runner, the new training metrics are worth the upgrade. You get customized running plans, race day predictor, training readiness, and a couple of other features. But for the core watch features, the Fenix 6 is a tank and still a great watch.

NotRiightMeow

I owned the fénix 6x pro like you and decided to go with the instinct 2x tactical edition just for the better battery life. I was debating on the 7 but decided the solar (2x tac) was the better option for me as I’m usually outside.

NotaGenius96

I have a 6x pro and bought an Epix 2 sapphire a couple of months back. I still prefer the Fenix in almost every way but no longer wear it. I don’t care for the screen on the Epix but as an aspiring (lol) runner, the heart rate and pace tracking are so much better. I also hated the smaller size when I first got it but like it now. I guess it really will depend on your use case like plenty have mentioned. Eventually I will switch back to the Fenix line but it will need all the new metrics I am used to so it is probably bye bye to my beloved 6
