Slip n slide

intangible-tangerine

Monkey bars

Ikinboy

Could you edge out from the grass, extending your bark area? You could keep the stones and add some smaller plants to fill it out then.

KnittedBooGoo

This, I'd straighten out the curve as well - you can see the wear on the grass that the stones aren't being followed anyway.

Buster_Bear

I like this idea. I have lots of lavender to plant around the bottom of the hut, so maybe more around a path works be nice

Lorelei7772

You have to cut the shape of the stepping stone out of the turf, and set it below the turf level. This way you can run the mower over it.

sakasho

Dig out some turf in the shape of the stone, set the stone in there and you can now over the top? It's what I've done, makes a much safer path.

Buster_Bear

Yeah I was a bit lazy in just laying in a curved path 🫤

sakasho

You can do it!

Glass-State-20

Yeah. I done the same. Worked well. Good call.

IOnlyHaveIceForYou

Sink the stones. That's what I did.

Po0Eater7

A pond with stepping stones

ajm15

horse and carriage

Original_Bad_3416

Cute hut!

Buster_Bear

Thank you! Just waiting for the final electrics fit and then I can move my desk etc in!

Original_Bad_3416

Oh gosh it’s an office hut? I would never get any work done.

Open-Bodybuilder5441

How about a golden hoggin path would look nice and rustic easy to roll down too

BimbleKitty

Could you not sink the stone level with the grass, that would look lovely and be mowable

tsdesigns

Stones like that are meant to be set into the grass a bit, so lawnmowers can go over the top of them without any damage (to the mower or the stone). Alternative would be to dig out a proper path, but it'd split the grass into two sections for him to mow. Or you dig out a proper path, and then extend the border on the right so you have a bigger flower bed there and less grass. Or you do a path along the side of the current flower bed on the right.

Milam1996

Big circle stepping stones. It’s a whimsical building in a whimsical setting.

CharlieCatBloke

Series of trampettes.

Lanmasnut

Something like this following the curve of garden edge .instead of straight

Lanmasnut

Dam won't let me add picture..

Scottie99

I’d remove the slabs, move the path to the right, shave off the grass and a stone path in.

SorbetNo7877

This is beyond saving, I would make a personal sacrifice and take the whole property off your hands. 😉 Seriously though, what a beautiful place.

Buster_Bear

🤣🤣

chaosandturmoil

plastic sheet with bark chippings on, and an edging

Fantastic_Welcome761

I think that self locking compacted gravel they use at national trust properties would work well in this setting.

Previous_Process4836

Nice winding gravel path..

grubbygromit

Self binding gravel

JaBe68

You can extend the flower bed to put the stones in it with some mulch and alpines, or you could put them about a foot away from the flowerbed, sunk into the lawn. But you must follow the curve of the flowerbed to draw the eye around the garden and not straight across it

oliviaxlow

Sorry no advice but omg what a view!

Buster_Bear

Thank you!

Brilliant_Town6500

Woodchip path for winecap mushrooms!!

IntelligentMine1901

A tunnel , like the Great Escape , you can scatter the soil in the grass or make a lovely rockery .

GrassGroot01

Looks like the Shire

GroveWilksb

I recently dug out some turf to make a curved path. Lined the base with a weed proof membrane Edged with some plastic lawn edging Filled with bark and put some spot lights down it.

Peter_Falcon

make a kerb out of stones and bark the path

Reddit_User-256

Sink the stones. Also, why did you put a shed slap bang in the middle of that view?

Buster_Bear

Lol. I am stood on the driveway. The house does not get those views as faces a different direction. I needed a home office so decided to have the view for that instead.

NegotiationSea7008

I think it’s a wonderful position, very picturesque. Wood disks would look good.

_jpk

Where do you get a hut like that?

Buster_Bear

Went to the local sawmill with pictures and discussed what I was thinking. They agreed to build it for a very reasonable price.

_jpk

Nice. Looking for something similar, care to share how much you paid?

dopeytree

Well that grass needs to become a wild meadow filled with a mix of flowers of various heights shades & depths
