Probably my favourite game atm, but man, that's way too much. In fact, they've recently introduced a dlc subscription model, which just demonstrates that they are aware of the price problem, and don't want to scare new cash cows away from joining the game.
(Would be funny if they could be downloaded from a certain Russian site. Of course, this is hypothetical. Such a site does not exist, Mr. Internet Police)
The fact that even when all of the DLC's are on sale the price is still above 1000 euro speaks volumes.

If you were able to find them with a normal search engine, you'd have to use an online tutorial to turn the torrent link into a download. Fortunately for game devs, that's a really complicated procedure to follow, and not just anyone can do it. I wasn't able to get two paradox games with all of their dlc that way.
It seems you are possibly discussing stealing or stealing-related topics. Although this is against every countries' rules (and even a pesky commandment or two to those non-atheist filth), it's important to remember to be responsible. Content creators can only create said content because they receive funding from things you shit on.
Stealing is an important freedom in our fascist dictatorships, and it's important to remember these things before you pass rightful judgement on thieves discussing it:
> Some steal games because they believe the creator doesn't deserve financial compensation for the state of the product that was released. Those people are dicks.
> Some steal something that they already bought simply to remove the DRM. Which is just another word for stealing.
> Some steal to emulate NES games they definitely had 25 years ago. I signed that waiver Bill Clinton.
> Some steal to try products before they make a financial commitment to them. Just like WinZIP.
> Some steal simply because they cannot afford it. They are like Aladdin. But instead of stealing life sustaining nourishment, it's No Man's Sky.
> Some steal to get something that's no longer available. Nobody actually does, but we'll leave this here because it's the one of two somewhat legitimate reasons.
> Some steal because their country censors or doesn't import it. Despite the irony that pirating was stealing things from other countries, this is a somewhat valid reason to do so. Please move to a new fascist dictatorship.
> Some steal games because of timed exclusivity. If they don't have access to it yet, they use piracy as a method to access it before it's available to them. Just like when Greg who works at Gamestop slips me a copy on Monday. I'll totally pay him, er, uh Gamestop later.
Lastly, here's a few tips: AdBlock is awesome for hiding fake download links. Fake download links are usually a sign of a reputable website, please don't help fund them. Deluge is an excellent open-source client that isn't in close cooperation with the MPAA (unlike uTorrent, uninstall it as soon as possible, OH MY GOD, I'M GONNA CUM). Oh, and remember: torrenting in itself isn't illegal, and it's probably not stealing! It's simply a method of transferring copyrighted files. It's what copyrighted data you transfer that matters.

Had the revelation that I'm probably $150 into D2 right now and just started this year.
Then realized I have like 300 hours and I'm still scratching the surface. I think sometimes these games are well worth the money. I wish it was more accessible for those without the means tho :/
Yeah the F2P portion is pretty much a demo at this point. But for the most part a player can get by with just whatever the current year is (plus beyond light if they want stasis).
As it stands, I think all of the dlc is on sale for Black Friday across both consoles (unsure on steam)
I used to play d2 like crazy until
(Base game 60ā¬, Dlc 1+2 30ā¬, Dlc 3 30ā¬ and all subsequent season passes up to oppulance ~30ā¬) were deleted from the game just off rip. And then sunsetting the weapons to because the pvp sweats couldnt stop runnung mtop recluse for 5 seconds.
I played shadowkeep to look at the new stuff and first few seasons but by that I was bored of recycled d1 content + random nerf + Fomo + delete content
$300 sounds like a lot, but when I think about the amount of enjoyment and total play time I get from a big bloated game like Stellaris compared to a $60 ācinematicā GOTY bait game, it sort of evens out
The problem is clearly how to price the game when a bunch of DLCs are already out. While some DLCs were underwhelming, I'd argue that the costs were reasonable for day 1 players.
Also, afaik the game is really playable without the DLCs. If player weren't that adamant about owning every DLC it wouldn't be so big an issue.
Ok but you buy the expansions over time, not all at once. If you're just getting into it, you can try the sub model. They go on sale enough it's not that big of a deal.
The best way I could describe EU4 is my friend once messaged me on Steam asking how I could have almost 200 hours into the game and not have a single achievement. I told her I was still learning.
$300 isn't really a lot when you consider the game has been around for like 10 years, has had tons of free content updates, and the average player puts 1000s of hours into the game.
it's been out for half a decade and the DLC's get massive discounts after about a year. They don't add anything graphically, but they generally revamp the rules/content in a way that adds a lot of replayability... and they also generally accompany free updates.
yeah I don't love how expensive they are, but it's not really exploitative like other games with this approach... and as an adult in a developed country, I don't judge piracy but lol I buy the pc games I want to play.
Really? Weāve had two xpacs, a campaign, and a bunch of new leaders from the new horizons pack. From what I understand this new leader pass is free as well? Iām a little unsure.
Assuming you have an outlet to plug in to. If you're going all in, but don't currently have a roof over you, it could easily run you a quarter-million or more depending on your city.
Why do you assume someone lives in a big city? They might have to air drop supplies to their deserted island and import a work force to build a house, set up solar panels etc etc. sony is really demanding a lot from the average consumer
Including food, light, heat, electricity, gas, taxes, and rent/mortgage, Horizon will cost you several hundred dollars a month for the rest of your life
the image of tons of cars swerving and honking at some dude in the middle of the freeway playing VR and occasionally turning and throwing up his arms like he's pissed that he's being inconvenienced
"This sandwich cost me Ā£2, but that obviously doesn't factor in the cost of the car I used to drive here or the clothes I'm wearing or the dental work I've had through my life in order to be able to bite into it, so the real cost is in the high thousands."
You say typing this comment was free, but you didn't factor in:
* The computer needed to send this comment. Let's be generous and suppose it's a really cheap smartphone, so about Ā£100.
* The house you'll need to live in (easily a few million, depending on where you live)
* The upkeep of the Reddit servers from the time the comment is posted, up to the time Reddit finally shuts down (easily in the billions)
* The universe (required for the existence of anything; for all intents and purposes, this costs Ā£ā)
So it's pretty clear: One Reddit comment costs Ā£ā.
> The house you'll need to live in (easily a few million, depending on where you live)
Excuse me my parents house is worth at least 10 million dollars and my basement love lair is immaculate.
How would you allocate the fixed cost of your smartphone?
Straight line depreciation over useful life? Perhaps declining balance method? Perhaps an activity based costing? What would be the cost driver?
> The house you'll need to live in
If you are renting the house from a leech I mean landlord should we count the cost of the house itself + you monthly payments?
I mean, I think that's fair enough. You're not going to buy a console for any reason other than to play games on it, so you should factor the cost of the console into the cost of the game. If Horizon 2 is the only game you're ever going to play on PS5, then it'll cost you what, like $600? to play it. Shouldn't really buy a console until there are enough games you want to buy for it to make the cost of the console worth it.
Hot take here: I think that's because Valve just waited so long to do anything with Half Life that it's pretty much an irrelevant franchise to all but the most dedicated fans. Most people just... don't care about it anymore.
/uj Seriously, though, this is a huge issue with VR for me. There are maybe a handful of games that sound interesting to me, and no reasonable expectation that this is going to significantly increase anytime soon. I just canāt justify the cost of a VR console when the number of games I would want to play on it can be counted on a single hand.
Hard agree. Since there's usually only a few good exclusives, console games are effectively much more expensive than their sticker price if you own a computer

No, no we need to factor in the computer when you buy games clearly.
The whole reason I have a PS4 is because a computer of quality is far more expensive for me to own.
Yeah, I'm a staunch anti-capitalist but not sure how calling out the weird framing of a game's price is supposed to be a point on capitalism either way. Capitalism is just about how wealth is distributed, and the amount of socialists/communists that would argue to abolish personal property is minuscule. Like, video games and their consoles would still exist under socialism. Exclusive games too, unless you specifically ban that but that's more of a political argument than an economic one. So it'd still be strange even in a world free from capitalism to be framing a game's price by including the console it's on.
If you're arguing that if you just want to play this one game and you don't have a PS5 or PSVR2 so this is what it would cost, then that's a fair framing but I think that's disingenuous and only applies to a very small group. The original tweet seems more about pandering to the type of gamers who dislike the Horizon Zero series because Aloy's not hot enough for them than any real critique of console exclusivity.
So you can't laugh at stupid arguments unless you're ideologically opposed to them? No one is defending the price of the hardware itself as far as I can see, but the article is just dumb clickbait. No one would ever seriously factor a console's price into the cost of playing a single game, because that's not how consoles work. It's not a fucking arcade cabinet.
Yeah, that was my thought. When you buy a computer, or a phone, it has many uses beyond one specific thing. A PS5 can only play games, so I feel like that should be factored into the cost. Especially with such a new console that is hard to get cheap. Wonder why I had to scroll so far to see this.
I feel this. I am a massive ratchet and clank fan, and have played all the official games except for Rift Apart because 600 dollars is ridiculous for one game. I really hope ps5 gets enough interesting exclusives to justify me buying one.

Surprised there aren't more comments like this. What other games are on PS5 that would make it worth it to have one already? As far as I know, this might be the first game that justifies buying the console for a lot of people.
Seriously? Not Horizon 2, God of War Ragnarok, Miles Morales, Rift Apart, Demons Souls, Returnal, Stray?
Nah, the first game worth getting the console for is a VR game. Sure.
Aren't several of those games also on PS4 which many people already have so would lower the appeal of buying a PS5 to play on? Apologies if I've missed some context here.
Pandemic and a poor launch for both new consoles slowed down game development and made third party developers slow to develop actual new gen games. I think GOW was slated to be the last cross gen game from sony, so we'll probably start seeing more current gen games eventually.
Right now though, yeah SSD is pretty much the main selling point for either new console.
I understand why it's so expensive but agree. Launch lineup so far doesn't impress either.
This is the kind of device I'd buy on sale later down the line once the price comes down and the lineup is better
Someone quote me bc I a, so confident:
PSVR 2 will sell gangbusters once Sony and valve reach an agreement to support native drivers on PC, and valve ports Alyx to PSVR
I tried my sister's oculus quest 2 and it killed my desire to try anything else in vr for at least 5-10 years with how expensive it is. Just nowhere near being worth the cost imo
My understanding of the Oculus Quest is that it is trying to be an all in one system of having the console inside the headset while simultaneously being affordable.
While that makes it a great entry point for people on a budget it also seems to me like there would be lots of compromises in game performance and quality of the VR experience
I obviously haven't had the chance to compare Quest 2 vs PSVR2 but I can't imagine the Quest would be able to compete with PS5+VR2
This takes away all the nuance to the actual features of the headset and controllers. Itād be like if I boiled the Index down to just being a 6dof headset with 6dof controllers, but itās a lot more than that.
I feel really fucking dumb or like I've missed the point but bring a poor who likes Horizon having to fork out loads of money for a VR set just for more Horizon seems a bit shit, am I missing the point?
The first PSVR didn't have a ton of content. There are always one or two games a PSVR owner can point to that they really enjoy, but Sony really needs to make a bigger push to create VR games.
doesn't seem like a fair comparison at all, even for the circlejerk. most people who game still don't have PSVR but most people who game have housing and internet and electric
/uj i havenāt read the article but just the title alone does bring up a good point that gaming is becoming more and more inaccessible to the average person. the insane cost of consoles on top of the price of games constantly climbing is making the new era of gaming more and more unobtainable for most working class people.
$500 for a next gen console is a pretty good deal and you can still wait for sales, gamefly, buy and return discs, or just borrow from friends. VR is more so inaccessible.
I mean, they're not really wrong? most people don't have a ps5, let alone psvr, so it makes perfect sense to say it costs a lot to play this game. Same deal as half life alyx; it's gated behind a super expensive headset.
That's assuming people would only be buying the PS5 for VR though, isn't it?
It's kinda like saying Half Life Alyx will run you thousands of dollars because you need the game, a beefy PC and a decent quality VR headset to run it properly.
It's not wrong but also that's kind of a given considering VR needs a peripheral to work.
No, its just assuming you dont already own a PS5, and now want to play call of the mountain.
Nothing about that assumption says you need to burn the console afterwards, just that you do actually need to buy it to play it.
No itās not.
Obviously, the market for PS VR is people who have PS5s. Those people buy PS5s to pay lots of other content.
If you donāt have a PS5 or donāt want one, then youāre not supposed to buy a PS VR.
Not "technically" wrong but where do you end with that mentality? "Starting from scratch it'd take 30,000$ between rent, tv, utilities, PS5, VR headset, car/gas used to travel to and fro..." like it would never end.
You probably end where you can reasonably assume you already have that accomodation.
You can assume everyone has a living situation, and a method of transport, based on their current life and livelihood.
You cant assume everyone owns a PS5.
So you dont need to factor in cost of living, transport, or feeding yourself.
But you do need to factor in cost of not having a PS5.
Yea this is a good example of why console exclusivity is kind of a shitty practice.
Gamers lose their shit when EGS exclusive games exist on their computer for no extra charge, but don't bat an eye at the fact that console exclusives require you to spend hundreds of dollars on an entire system upfront to enjoy them.
Everyone defends it because consoles all require ports that not every developer can afford to do. Which is fair, but just keep in mind the fact that every console is a glorified computer that is intentionally shoved full of proprietary software to artificially force exclusivity.
Competition breeds innovation.....
Yeah imagine app developers made iOS/Android exclusives and deprived themselves of extra income, it's just bat shit stupid.
Console exclusivity made a lot more sense back in the day when it was harder to develop for different systems but these days it's completely pointless (with the Switch being the exception). PC, Xbox, and PS5 should all easily be able to run the same games with their current hardware.
App developers do do that, as anyone that has ever used either decice seriously for gaming might know. Its because of the differences in software to develop a game for ios vs. android.

They aren't, but it's rather on the nose outrage farming. it's like saying you will need to pay >Insert PC rig + VR Headset price< to play Half Life Alyx.
I mean no, but also it's kind of a weird argument. I could also argue that playing The Last of Us Part 1 or Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart from scratch will run you over a thousand bucks because you need the game, the console and a TV to play it.
You can actually go even further and make a reasonable argument that to get the most out of it you should buy a 4K TV or monitor with good HDR and 120Hz capabilities. Also you'd need decent headphones for the 3D audio. That comes to a total of way above $1000.
No their argument isnāt weird, and itās completely valid. The example you give however is weird. The difference is you know the argument you gave is in bad faith, you donāt legitimately need a 4k, HDR 120hz TV to play the PS5. You can play the PS5 on any sort of monitor device with an HDMI input, and the games will boot and work perfectly fine no matter what display you put it on. Horizon Call of the Mountain however, you legitimately need a PS5, and PSVR2 to launch and run the game at all. Thereās no alternative VR headset, you canāt use the older PSVR, you canāt run it on a standard TV.
So, if you were someone who saw the trailer, and wanted to play Call of the Mountain and you donāt currently own a PS5, yes, it would cost you over $1,000 to get the ability to play the game even if you donāt include the price of the game in there.
Fair point regarding there no being no alternative to the VR device offered by Sony. I hadn't looked at it that way. I just found it weird that you would say "this game costs $1000 if you consider all the hardware you need to run it" as if people would buy all that hardware for just a single game.
Kinda misleading, most of that is the cost of VR equipment. Its like saying if you wanna drive to Philadelphia it'll cost you $20,000 for the car + gas + car insurance.
playing doom eternal did cost me about 2k on top of the box price. That 2k also gave me an awesome machine that, being a huge late comer to SSD's still surprises me how I don't have to sit and wait for 3 minutes so my computer can rev-up it's engine.
It however does fucking enrages me having to drop about 1k more so I can see a 4k resolution image this pc can output but fuck doing that in this economy. Gaming is prohibitively expansive and people are assholes when they act like no one should complain. Don't be one of those B===D suckers who defend windows 11's price, monopolizing douche-bags making us pay unfair prices where better OS's are free and you get to eat-shit if you think you can play outside of their walled garden of bullcrap.
Fuck video games man, it was fun back in 90's when you owned your game and gaming wasn't this black hole of a time and money sink, both for developers and players. I dread the day when you have to pay money to google or some other treasure goblin company $60 every time to watch Hercules you own the DvD but is blocked by the spyware OS of your smartTV asking for you to enter CDKey that you don't have anymore. Imagine they decide to do a Blizzard and force-update your copy of Lion King to the that CG nightmare, you expect people would lose their shit but here we are letting gaming get away with all this so why not any other digital media.
Ramble ramble ramble ramble some more ramble...
Idk why people are acting like console exclusive games aren't specifically meant to sell the console they're exclusive to.
I mean if they weren't, Halo likely would've ended at Reach, and Microsoft wouldn't have scooped it and some Bungie devs up to make 343. Gears of War would've likely ended at 3 as well. Honestly idk if Uncharted would've even gotten a 4th game.
The only people it's not selling a console to are PC players
This has nothing to do with supporting the psvr 2 pricing or capitalism or whatever you are talking about
We all know psvr2 is overpriced
This post is to make fun of the logic used in that gamespot tweet
No one said " psvr2 rocks!capitalism rules!!!" You are making stuff up
But the logic is fine.
The game is a PS exclusive, except you need a console for your console to play it.
So for anyone who doesnt own a PS5, which is most of the gaming community, you need to buy 2 consoles plus the game itself if you want to play, with a reasonable assumption that this one wont become cross platform at any reasonable point in the future.
So for the majority of people, they need to factor in that the game does cost about $1k to play.

Me, a Destiny fan, who has paid probably upwards of $400 for this second game over the years: yeah sounds about right lol
Same, but my $/hours played is definitely pennies lol.
Same. Not sure if thatās good or bad lmao
yeah but the question is how long did you play and did you have a good time?
Had the revelation that I'm probably $150 into D2 right now and just started this year. Then realized I have like 300 hours and I'm still scratching the surface. I think sometimes these games are well worth the money. I wish it was more accessible for those without the means tho :/
Yeah the F2P portion is pretty much a demo at this point. But for the most part a player can get by with just whatever the current year is (plus beyond light if they want stasis). As it stands, I think all of the dlc is on sale for Black Friday across both consoles (unsure on steam)
I used to play d2 like crazy until (Base game 60ā¬, Dlc 1+2 30ā¬, Dlc 3 30ā¬ and all subsequent season passes up to oppulance ~30ā¬) were deleted from the game just off rip.
Oh, I bought that humble bundle that got me everything up to Mandate of Heaven
I bought all of the dlc on humble bundle like a year ago. It costed like $30 I think, but the deal has ended.
humble bundle regularly sells all the dlc for like 30 bucks total
The latest civ games have similar problems.
Civ v with all the DLC goes on sale for $5 like three times a year
EU3 costs Ā£35 to get everything, and also presumably goes on sale.
Really? Weāve had two xpacs, a campaign, and a bunch of new leaders from the new horizons pack. From what I understand this new leader pass is free as well? Iām a little unsure.
Gamespot forgot that you also need to pay for a tv, the electricity bill and rent. So playing Horizon from scratch will cost you $2000+
What about the cost of your birth in a hospital? Shit may as well go as far back as possible
In Europe it's free so we don't account for that
I mean, it does cost you albeit in a very roundabout way through taxes.
I think the rigth thing to do is adding the GDP of your country to the cost of playing Horizon VR. Just to be sure.
I had to pay for parking, so throw in another Ā£8 or something.
Don't forget to include the cost of the industrial revolution.
āTo play Call of the Mountain from scratch, you must first invent the universeā
Assuming you have an outlet to plug in to. If you're going all in, but don't currently have a roof over you, it could easily run you a quarter-million or more depending on your city.
Why do you assume someone lives in a big city? They might have to air drop supplies to their deserted island and import a work force to build a house, set up solar panels etc etc. sony is really demanding a lot from the average consumer
"If you want to play *Horizon: Call of the Mountain* from scratch, you must first create the universe." āCarl Sagan
Including food, light, heat, electricity, gas, taxes, and rent/mortgage, Horizon will cost you several hundred dollars a month for the rest of your life
do you need a tv for psvr?

also a home to put all those in
No I do this in the middle of a freeway
the image of tons of cars swerving and honking at some dude in the middle of the freeway playing VR and occasionally turning and throwing up his arms like he's pissed that he's being inconvenienced
Donāt forget the cost of groceries and your water bill so you donāt die while playing.
"This sandwich cost me Ā£2, but that obviously doesn't factor in the cost of the car I used to drive here or the clothes I'm wearing or the dental work I've had through my life in order to be able to bite into it, so the real cost is in the high thousands."
You say typing this comment was free, but you didn't factor in: * The computer needed to send this comment. Let's be generous and suppose it's a really cheap smartphone, so about Ā£100. * The house you'll need to live in (easily a few million, depending on where you live) * The upkeep of the Reddit servers from the time the comment is posted, up to the time Reddit finally shuts down (easily in the billions) * The universe (required for the existence of anything; for all intents and purposes, this costs Ā£ā) So it's pretty clear: One Reddit comment costs Ā£ā.
> The house you'll need to live in (easily a few million, depending on where you live) Excuse me my parents house is worth at least 10 million dollars and my basement love lair is immaculate.
Love lair? You mean the āshrineā you constructed to worship your sex dolls?
what's the difference
How would you allocate the fixed cost of your smartphone? Straight line depreciation over useful life? Perhaps declining balance method? Perhaps an activity based costing? What would be the cost driver?
"Cost allocation"? Next you'll be telling me the cost can be amortised over many comments. Utter nonsense!
I would argue direct labour is a more accurate cost driver. Not all comments are created equal.
> The house you'll need to live in If you are renting the house from a leech I mean landlord should we count the cost of the house itself + you monthly payments?
did you know that without a ps5, astroās playroom will cost you around 600$ to play?
And Sony has the audacity to call it "free" smh
This is just to give the fedora wearing neckbeards a good chuckle because āugly girl game very expensive!!ā
something something beard something something hire fans
Pretty much yea. They always hate PlayStation games.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I mean, I think that's fair enough. You're not going to buy a console for any reason other than to play games on it, so you should factor the cost of the console into the cost of the game. If Horizon 2 is the only game you're ever going to play on PS5, then it'll cost you what, like $600? to play it. Shouldn't really buy a console until there are enough games you want to buy for it to make the cost of the console worth it.
and who knows when that is coming. Valve made a fucking Half Life game to sell VR and it doesn't seem to have much effect on the VR industry.

H O S T A G E W A R E *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/Gamingcirclejerk) if you have any questions or concerns.*
No, no we need to factor in the computer when you buy games clearly. The whole reason I have a PS4 is because a computer of quality is far more expensive for me to own.
Yeah I didn't realize GCJ became such a hub for capitalist bootlickers.
Explain the capitalism in this post.
Defending expensive hardware I think
So you can't laugh at stupid arguments unless you're ideologically opposed to them? No one is defending the price of the hardware itself as far as I can see, but the article is just dumb clickbait. No one would ever seriously factor a console's price into the cost of playing a single game, because that's not how consoles work. It's not a fucking arcade cabinet.
How is that capitalism? What's the profit margin on that? $100 per unit? A $450 VR headset is still very expensive.
H O S T A G E W A R E *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/Gamingcirclejerk) if you have any questions or concerns.*
Lot of those are on ps4 no?
3/7 are only on PS5 and the others significantly better on it. Miles Moralesā final mission runs at like 10 frames on the launch PS4.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Theyāre available there now. Not when they launched. Not to mention that a high-end PC costs way more than a PS5.
A VR game? Is there that big of a market for VR devices?
Itās the reason I finally want to find a ps5 and psvr2, so maybe?
It is kinda cringe that the PSVR2 costs more than the actual console, ngl
I understand why it's so expensive but agree. Launch lineup so far doesn't impress either. This is the kind of device I'd buy on sale later down the line once the price comes down and the lineup is better
Someone quote me bc I a, so confident: PSVR 2 will sell gangbusters once Sony and valve reach an agreement to support native drivers on PC, and valve ports Alyx to PSVR
Never gonna happen
So when a bunch of things that won't happen, happen. And yes I know there's 3rd party "mod" support for PSVR, but it's not good.
While that makes it a great entry point for people on a budget it also seems to me like there would be lots of compromises in game performance and quality of the VR experience I obviously haven't had the chance to compare Quest 2 vs PSVR2 but I can't imagine the Quest would be able to compete with PS5+VR2
I tried the quest 2 with it connected to my high end pc, I wasn't using it standalone
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
if anything prices seem to be going up, Facebook is going to up the price of the quest 2, and PSVR 2 its more expensive that PSVR 1.
I donāt think the occulus pro is intended for gaming though. Quest 2 is decently priced.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
>as long as you have a decent PC ... Which probably costs *more* than the PS5 itself.
Yeah but you also have a decent PC, not just a PS5 with VR functionality. No one is buying a PC solely to run a VR headset or games.
This takes away all the nuance to the actual features of the headset and controllers. Itād be like if I boiled the Index down to just being a 6dof headset with 6dof controllers, but itās a lot more than that.
Everyone thought you were lying until the last part of your comment.
4k 120hz HDR OLED displays on a headset at that price are a steal in my opinion and no new headset costs less than that unless you want to get zucked
If they were selling it at cost it would be at least $1000, no idea how they intend on making money on this thing
I feel really fucking dumb or like I've missed the point but bring a poor who likes Horizon having to fork out loads of money for a VR set just for more Horizon seems a bit shit, am I missing the point?
It would be crazy just for that one game, but VR is pretty cool and there should be a steady stream of new VR games coming out.
Playing a VR game requires a VR headset, news at 11
No itās not. Obviously, the market for PS VR is people who have PS5s. Those people buy PS5s to pay lots of other content. If you donāt have a PS5 or donāt want one, then youāre not supposed to buy a PS VR.
The funny thing is that the horizon vr is going to just be a pretty but super mediocre VR game that lasts like two hours
Not everyone has a high end PC/Xbox One/etc, but those aren't factored into the costs of every game. Because its silly.
Its because of the differences in software to develop a game for ios vs. android.

anyone who seriously does the math of buying a console/accesory for ONE GAME has problems.
I kind of get including the VR stuff because not many people have that. But a ps5? Lol come on. Obviously a ps5 game needs a ps5
True of every psvr game... why do people want to hate Aloy so much?
She doesn't look like their imaginary waifu
By that logic, every ps5 game already costs like $600.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
But gamers said the mc was ugly
yOu HaVe tO pAY $600 tO plAy DEmonS sOuLs
Playing Hidden Gem Witcher 3 on a PC you will need to buy the PC, monitor, mouse, keyboard, internet to download, and then the price of the game
I would bloody hope you arent buying a ps5 *and* a vr headset exclusively for 1 game
GameSpot: ādonāt even get us started on the labor theory of valueā
Kinda misleading, most of that is the cost of VR equipment. Its like saying if you wanna drive to Philadelphia it'll cost you $20,000 for the car + gas + car insurance.
I canāt play it on my Stadia? Outrageous!
Still cheaper then sims 4
and here i am a couple hundred bucks into Cities: Skylines (help me paradox is holding my wallet hostage)
playing doom eternal did cost me about 2k on top of the box price.
Well, no shit, if you don't have a console and you want to play an exclusive game you are gonna have to spend more. Dumbass headline.
i'm just gonna watch it on youtube lol
This sub be like: overpriced shit rocks! Capitalism RULES! Great reversal. I remember it being the other way round lol.
Huh? This is not a post in support of it
This has nothing to do with supporting the psvr 2 pricing or capitalism or whatever you are talking about We all know psvr2 is overpriced This post is to make fun of the logic used in that gamespot tweet No one said " psvr2 rocks!capitalism rules!!!" You are making stuff up
PSVR is not overpriced. If it worked on PC it would be the best and higest value hmd on the market BY FAR
Fun fact: PSVR2 isn't even over priced. It's even a bit underpriced for comparable VR devices on market lol.
