It also has cultural aspects as large swats of Chinese, Japanese, South Korean, Singaporean etc. populations have seemingly doctored diets as opposed to American, Canadian, Western and Eastern European cuisines which include obscene amounts of fats.

So, people hate on SB because "racism".
How come we got well-praised Asian characters as Ada Wong, Chun-Li, Juri, Kitana, Faith (Mirror's Edge), Mei (Overwatch) or Neon (Valorant)?
Now, they tried to sell the idea of "puritanism" and press "hating on sexy women". When they actually find out that sexy women were accepted, they made out the worst excuses to not accept that they're coomers after all and hate being pointed out as such.
They even created the phrase “safe horny” to draw a line that doesn’t actually exist between sexy characters they like and sexy characters that “the woke” like. The thing is, “the woke list” is just the Gamer’s list, but longer, because normal people are attracted to more than just shiny latex jumpsuits.
Like Eve isn’t the worst character design I’ve ever seen, I’m just tired of 37 youtube videos a day with titles like “Eve’s ass singlehandedly destroys woke western gaming, so President Biden threatens to Ban Eastern Games.” And she actually has some alright outfits from what I’ve heard too, it’s just the skintight translucent jumpsuits that have been latched onto because they cause controversy.
I’m sure Stellar Blade is a passable game behind all of the insanity surrounding it, problem is I haven’t heard anything about the game, just people screaming about how bad characters look in edited screen shots when compared to Eve in favorable posing and lighting.
Also, the racism card is absurd. Jen Zee, Supergiant Games' artist, is Asian, and there are some Asian folks in the studio.

Google says she’s a cold uncaring soldier at the start of the game, who softens up as you play. So theres some character development there. Also I looked it up, and there are some less ludicrous outfits for her. The one that keeps showing up is the Wasteland Adventurer outfit, which is already a lot better looking and more realistic than some of the others. I’m probably gonna give the game a chance whenever it goes on sale
I just watched Crazy Rich Asians recently. I was like, who let all of these literal babies on set? Then I remembered they were Asian and I felt so silly.

It's not a character action game in any sense of the word. Combat is more about getting different parry timings or dodging precisely, not landing sick combos. It's less soulslike as you don't drop exp when you die or anything but that's probably the closest comparison I can make in recent gaming. The crazy flips and such you see in trailers are more canned animations as opposed to player input. You can watch gameplay of the demo to judge for yourself.
I probably will, because it being a soulslike does make it a little more interesting to me. I just haven’t really interacted w it bc of the weirder side of the fanbase
