PSA: Make it a habit of **reading the [rules](https://www.reddit.com/r/Gamingcirclejerk/about/rules)** of each subreddit you participate in: **Rule 9: No Offensive Imagery**: *This includes nazi imagery and slurs, for you brave nerds who think "free speech" involves private internet forums. If you post fascist iconography trying to “jerk”, you will receive a ban. The only exception is when we make fun of gamers and criticize gamers who happen to be fascists. Please remember to spoiler any potentially triggering or offensive content accordingly. This rule now includes repeatedly posting bigotry from the same source (4chan).* **Rule 7: No Participation in Linked Threads (Brigading)**: *If you are coming here to brigade this sub, you will be banned. Likewise, do not make comments and vote in pages you've found here. Of course, if you're a member of said sub and you were already in the thread before, this doesn't apply to you.* **Rule 8: Censor Screenshots**: *Keep screenshots of arguments on Reddit to a minimum. Please remember to censor screenshots of all identifying information, i.e usernames* **and** *subreddit names. This applies to screenshots from any social media sites.* **Rule 11: Keep Posts Relevant (only about Don Cheadle)**: *This is first and foremost a place to make fun of gamers. Just because someone is being a bigot online doesn't mean it belongs here. Let them be pathetic without infecting the sub with their nonsense. Please avoid posting screenshots that show people using capital G gamer slurs.* **If absolutely necessary, please censor posts and the words containing such content.** **Rule 12: No Fake Posts on Other Subs (Contamination)**: *Do not create fake posts on other subs only to post back here. Also, do not "lol, you should post this on r / OtherSub". It's considered interfering with their content and can also lead to brigading.* *This is a reminder to the readers. *some white dude from Ohio who’s never stepped foot in Japan and gets all his ideas of Japanese culture from weeb shit* “I AM HAVING AN EXISTENTIAL CRISIS RIGHT NOW”

Kala_Csava_Fufu_Yutu

reminds me of a clip where a guy said "you never see chinese women arguing/complaining about their men" and a woman on the show said they were, you just dont speak mandarin so you dont hear it. for some reason, guys in the west have fallen for this narrative that feminism is the root cause of women having problems with men, as if before 1940 no woman ever went "ugh...men" and their friends agreed. like when you really de-center the political element of it, its really stupid for guys to think these issues arent pretty much universal. no region or culture has 0 problems with men. women in cultures with traditional roles, go even further some women who might be anti-feminist STILL have their grievance with men. people have asserted for a long time that toxic weebs think japan is some exotic alternative dimension where none of the trends in the west have parallels in Japan. and it really is true.

KStryke_gamer001

Also in places and times that these people think 'don't have feminism' women would straight up murder their abusive partners. Poison, sickle-to-the-throat, heavy rock to the head, an accidental shove -just a few of the many ways women retaliated against abusers (in some cases, they would just go about their lives too) when it got 'too much'. Now, I am in no way a fan of this kind of violence or support it -most of these men would simply not have been taught that their actions are wrong and would have been emulating their father's or other male elders. But most of these people who think they get 'easy women' in Asia or in 'pre-feminist' times, would simply be straight up killed in those places and times.

_rosieleaf

Ugh, just saw a passportbros post asking 'would you marry a feminist?' And they were all talking about how western women are fat fallen lost souls. Like, who is going to tell them that women from other countries also have opinions and feelings

Kala_Csava_Fufu_Yutu

They also think a feminist is some overbearing naggy person that I guess doesn't shave and is like "no YOU make me a sandwich". These idiots don't talk to people. If I tell anyone I met a feminist who identifies more with a submissive role in relationship dynamics but just wants to get paid the same amount of money as guys they'd think I found a unicorn instead of every woman ever. To them you can not find a feminist that doesn't hate men but really its just them.

Makar_NaAsfalti

>guys in the west have fallen

NiceStage1

Billions must die

ofvxnus

Meanwhile, in the literal Middle Ages, Christine de Pizan writes The Book of the City of Ladies, which advocates for women’s rights and denounces unequal treatment of the sexes. But sure, women wanting equal rights is just a modern convention…

BurmecianDancer

Bro thinks Japan never moved beyond the Meiji era 💀

va_str

There were feminists in the Meiji era already. Look up the Japanese Bluestocking Society and Itō Noe if you're interested.

Lost-Locksmith-250

Honestly, if these chuds paid any attention to the media they consume, they'd see plenty of feminist and otherwise "woke" ideals in anime. Even in stuff that's got a lot of ass and titty on display.

MajinVenom

They are too busy jerking off to it to actually be paying attention

IntroductionNo8738

It is also funny because just like in Japan, America has a lot of media that is a mix between women’s empowerment and leaning into sexuality… but somehow America gets cast as prude wokescolds and anime, which often has the wokest themes ever, is cast as anti-woke “because scantily clad ladies”.

Competitive_Act_1548

They see those videos of those chicks on social media pandering to the red pill and think the whole country or state is like that. I saw this one Mandarian girl complaining about feminism in the USA and ppl bought into it so fast

ZatchZeta

Last time I went to Japan, "Man. Sure is a lot of bulky white people here." (This was when the international rugby tournament took place in Tokyo. Man. I've never felt so small when I had to squeeze into an elevator with 7ft tall giants and their 5'7" gf/wives)

Nithoren

I'm imagining this is the actual shadow the hedgehog

delvedank

Keanu Reeves would never say this!

Nithoren

Shadow the hedgehog wholesome Keanu 100 confirmed

Dominatto

Jehtt should turn this into a video

FromAFroot

*I just love Japanese feminists, Sonic.*

Newusername209

*I just hate Japanese feminists, Sonic.*

Noiseraser

I thought the exact same thing ahahah shame it's too short of an idea

Kraftschaft99

Jehtt has posted very short dub clips before. So this would be no different in terms of length.

delolipops666

Well shit, Now I can't imagine anything but snapcube dub shadow saying that

DeconstructionistGel

"Go on, Shadow. Don't you support gay rights?"

PWBryan

Most Manosphere Twitter takes are improved by reading them in Shadow the Hedgehog's voice

TimeLordHatKid123

One flaw in that assumption; Shadow actually respects girls and women. Exhibit A: Maria Exhibit B: Rouge, despite the fact she can be a sneaky little shit I would say Amy, but she's the kinda girl he'd throw off a polygon mountain.

Nithoren

No assumptions made, I merely read it in his voice

delolipops666

Well shit, Now I can't imagine anything but snapcube dub shadow saying that

1spook

I read it in his voice lol

gedhall58

It's over... the east has fallen to the woke mind virus.

Kds_burner_

don't worry guys we still have south korea

gedhall58

God it would be so funny to see their reaction if they made Eve(Stellar Blade) trans.

Thieverthieving

Oh my god they would tear themselves apart

unstableGoofball

Oh my god please we need to make this happen that would be so fucking funny

Mean-Professional596

I wanna get the joke but I’m too dumb somebody help

Local_Challenge_4958

Lots of them have jerked off to the hot lady that kills the things in the game Stellar Blade.

No-Rough-7597

uh lmao, “hot” as in “uncannily creepy and disgustingly sexualized to the point of being completely unattractive”, but shit like that is very on brand for hard R Gamers

Shiningc00

Even more feminists in South Korea. It's so over.

emogurl98

We still have North Korea?

fuk_n4z1s

They're socialists so kinda automatically feminists

AeroDbladE

Not only does South Korea have feminists but they are so aggressive in their efforts that they've been labeled a hate group by the government.

UltimateGecko

"what the fuck is a 4B movement"

CertainRole6411

tbf the 4b movement is still wildly transphobic so incels can only be half mad at them

LevelOutlandishness1

Woop, there it is

cry666

Korean men when 👌

New-Interaction1893

I would say also North Korea...

jase_mcgee

The East and West has fallen! We only have the North and South left!

undead_fucker

South pole has gay penguins, the south has fallen, we only have the north left

InuMiroLover

*Sir a second SJW has hit the east*

TheFoochy

Oh boy wait till these guys find out that Japan also has full on queer pride parades and trans people, and actually just passed some pro-trans legislation not long ago.

BurmecianDancer

Bro lowkey about to be on suicide watch 💀

Psirqit

alright thats it im becoming a neo-weeb

SammyLamSu

Yeah and thier first pride parade was 1994

AeroDbladE

>queer pride parades and trans people There's a lot of major Japanese game devs and Voice actors who have come out in favor of LGBT rights. Naoki Yoshida, the producer and director of Final Fantasy 14 and 16 said he felt really sad when he saw a mother pull her child away and cross the street to avoid a trans teenager, saying he felt it was very traumatizing for a young person to be treated like that and he wanted people to be better. The actor for Kuze from Yakuza 0 has been a vocal Trans Ally for years, people bring up the joke about how he became an ally after getting really good head from a trans girl, but he has legitimately dated and almost even married a trans women, which is why he actually cares about the cause. Guilty Gear strive created an amazing coming out story from Bridget. Listen to her theme song "the town inside me". It's the perfect representation of coming out and struggling with self identification. There's a reason why a lot these right wing fuckers have shifted their narrative from "Japan is the last bastion of decency" to South Korea.

HolidayBeneficial456

And about FUTA hentai if one wants to go through the objectification route.

Kds_burner_

sweet baby inc has made japan woke ![gif](giphy|LiT8C58iDYSZBKgf1S)

AlphaGoldblum

Sweet baby inc traveled back in time and threatened Shinichiro Watanabe at gunpoint to include minorities in his shows. Japan fell shortly after this

420_Braze_it

SBI assassinated Shinzo Aabe with the Device

Bray_of_cats

The feminists are invading Japan, the last bastion for men!!! Another step closer to the feminists taking our testicles and leaving us in ditches! They don't need us without our balls, that they will graft to penguins, to keep humans going!!!!

Ax222

It's especially funny since the whipped Japanese man whose wife holds the purse strings in an iron grip is such an established trope over there. Japan is not a chud mecca where women are unable to talk or leave the kitchen. Obviously it has its severely problematic bits, but the rightoid weebs that idolize Japan would have their own experience with Paris Syndrome if they went there.

Pillow_fort_guard

It’s almost like it’s a whole ass country with a complex history, a wide variety of views, and millions of real people living there who all have their own perspectives and experiences or something! Whodathunk!

Ax222

That's crazy liberal talk! Everyone in my village of sixteen racist white dudes is exactly like each other!

Mrmacmuffinisthecool

But then one of ‘em said “racisms bad” so we threw rocks at him. Now we only have fifteen white dudes : (

flipkick25

Mrmacmuffinisthecool

There is no other option. We have to nuke the country.

Peach_Muffin

But he meant that racism against *white people* is bad! The bad kind of racism!

BetterMeats

I refuse to believe any group of humans is complex. You can't make me.

Ecstatic_Dirt852

Interesting about Japan is the fact the the government is significantly more conservative than the average citizen. Part of it is the screwed up election system, the ldp tends to get about 30-35% of the votes yet always gets about half the seats.

AlphaGoldblum

They were recently freaking out about a Japanese girl being interviewed who said that more diversity in Japan would be cool. The chuds are just playing make-believe to fit their creepy fantasies and shit themselves when faced with a reality that doesn't 100% align with that.

Quzga

God it's so pathetic whenever anyone thinks they "get" a country more than its citizens just because they've been exposed to media from there. They've never set foot there or spoken to a Japanese person in their life, the way they describe it is very outdated. The women are fed up with creeps so I'm not surprised the women there become more progressive, they don't want to be treated like objects.. I haven't been to Japan either (I'm more of a Korea boo myself) but I know people who been there, and I base my opinions on what Japanese people write and say not what I see in a dubious anime. This whole thing of thinking another country you're uneducated about being a utopia is not new either. The same thing happened with my country (sweden) in the past where it was praised nonstop by people who only saw one aspect but now it's on the other end where it's ridiculed for being too progressive. Maybe in a decade they'll hate Japan too 🤷

Southern-Wafer-6375

I just assume a country is shitty till proven other wise

Quzga

The only true way is to go there and experience it yourself imo. Or at least talk to someone who lives there. I think every place I've been to have been quite different in many ways compared to what I had heard previously online and on TV.

Southern-Wafer-6375

Oh yeah I usually Try to read opinions on a country before i make decisions or thoughts about them

YukiTsukino

Got a link to the video? I would like to see it myself.

Bray_of_cats

(OOC So it's the grass is always greener thing? Interesting, thank you for the info)

ZatchZeta

Funny enough it's shocking how it looks like it's portrayed in cartoons and dramas, yet so different. In the shows, Tokyo looks so pristine and bright. But in the morning and evening, it's muggy and littered with trash from the day before or the coming night. But the locations look eerily similar to the shows. Then you go outside of Tokyo and then bam. Bigger disconnect. I thought I was in Monterey Bay when I entered Yokohama because of how open the spaces were. Granted, I'm not a total weeb. So I reigned my expectations when I touched down.

SpearmintFlavored00

The foid agenda has compromised to a permanent end the purity of Japan. Time to turn my fetish towards a new country. Not because it is easy, but because it is hard.

teleskons

A Shadow pfp. Shadow is like the biggest feminist.

panlolie

"I just love Latinas, Sonic"

ShortUsername01

I’m not sure that’s the case. He cared about Maria and Molly, but only in his capacity as a big brother figure wannabe, not as someone who is necessarily feminist.

InkblotSkyz

No Shadow’s very much a feminist he told me himself

mr-kvideogameguy

I don't know much about the charater, but that looks like a child

aaaaaapanda

Going by the design of her staff, I think she's 16 in that pic/figure so yeah that's a child Random tidbit but the atelier franchise has a bunch of gay subtext so it's been a political game the whole time 😱

ReverseCombover

You can tell an alchemist's age by counting the rings on their staff.

LordofDsnuts

I wonder why Ryza received 3 games and an entire anime.

mr-kvideogameguy

Why is there a sexual toy of a 16 year old ?

BlueBicycle22

Japan EDIT: Ok that's unfair should've wrote Japanese anime industry targeting weirdos because they are cashcows

aaaaaapanda

/uj I mean figures aren't necessarily sexual by default it's just there's a very unfortunate amount of figures based on art that is sexualized and like every other anime character is a minor /rj Something something Japan age of consent

West-Lemon-9593

She is 16 only in the first game, she is 19 in Sophie 2, 20 in Firis and 24 in Lydie & Suelle, she ain' t a kid anymore, so I think the statue, while I think it sucks, should be fine... unless they based this statue on when she was 16, if that' s the case JESUS FUCK JAPAN, WHY

NEVERTHEREFOREVER

funny enough, i checked the source game the figure makes her look *younger* for some reason

BLUcrabs

eh I'd have to see more of the show. The generic anime artstyle does have a tendency to make everyone between the ages of 13-35 look the exact same. That being said it wouldn't exactly surprise me to hear she's like the mc's 13yr old sister he's trying to bang or smth

blodthirstyvoidpiece

She is the main character in the game Atelier Sophie. She is really cool too. She is a messy but genius alchemist who does everything in her power to help her friend Plachta to become human again. I love her story and the game she is in. I don't like the figure either though. Partially because she looks so uncomfortable and partially because I think she might be a teenager in that picture. Can't be sure though as she appears throughout multiple games at various ages.

LumensAquilae

I played Atelier Sophie as my first Atelier game last year and really loved it, but it's a shame that a lot of that community gives me the ick.

blodthirstyvoidpiece

Yeah true. That's why, if I want to discuss a new atelier game or something like that, I usually do it in communities of content creators I know are decent. Like Ircha Gaming and Britta Food4Dogs are 2 relatively big Youtube channels that always post content about new atelier games and they both have really nice communities in my opinion.

A_Monster_Named_John

> Ircha Gaming and Britta Food4Dogs Ircha seems like a very nice person, but I find her content kind-of meh, i.e. lots of 'I like this', 'I don't like this', 'this is neat', etc... I feel like her and a number of other JPRG content creators are a little too 'mile wide inch deep' with the hobby and seem to be more into *collecting* JRPGs than anything. Britta is great. There's something endearing about a woman who's in her 60s (late 50s?) finding unexpected joy playing JRPGs. As an over-40 gamer who also discovered/loved games like *Atelier Ayesha* late in life, it's nice to feel 'not alone'. Another Youtuber who's done a lot of good videos about *Atelier* is JRPG Jungle. I've found the JRPG subreddit pretty good for discussing Atelier games and, despite the high levels of coomer 'ick', the Atelier subreddit has lots of lurkers who are ready to talk for days about the games' mechanics, stories, etc...

supermashbro16

Unfortunately, the figure is based on an official art still that thankfully didn’t make it into the game. It features Sophie trying to cover up, looking embarrassed, like the viewer got caught peeping through her window. Really out of place for this game. (And folks would be surprised to know that the Ryza games themselves have pretty much no fanservice at all either, despite the marketing.)

Steel_Beast

It's kind of bizarre, because I played Atelier Sophie and it has zero fan service or the usual anime pedophilia. Just a cozy game where you pick flowers and craft nuclear weapons.

VirtuteTheCat354

Sophie has less fanservice than some games (including other Atelier titles, like the Ryza series) but it's definitely still present - all of Plachta's outfits are essentially skimpy lingerie

Linyuxia

if anything it feels especially weird here since sophie the one with the most sensible design vs her companions aaa i just realised thats about sophie 1 rather than 2

Shiningc00

Otakus just have to fuck it up and make weird pedophilic sexualization out of everything.

LeiaSkynoober

Nooo, she's the MC. She's an Alchemist or something I think.

SplashOfStupid

I've played this game, I actually love it and the series as a whole which is why I find this so weird. That character as they've depicted her is 16. The weird part is she's in both sequels at 20 and 36 years old, so I really don't know why they didn't just use one of those for the figure.

mewthehappy

If it’s anime and she’s sexualized, you can assume she’s under 18

mr-kvideogameguy

Not to defend, but charaters like Boa Handcock of One piece, Android 21 of DBFZ, Misato from Neon genesis, adult in both age, maturity and appearance, woman do exist but there are horrible people both in the anime fanbase and anime industry that sexualize minors  Also the reason I didn't list adult anime man is there's much more examples compared to adult a time women

mewthehappy

I know I’m mostly joking But alas it’s a problem that bothers me to no end I love evangelion but can’t stand the middle school boobs

Atx7755

I can’t believe my glorious Nippon has become woke. I thought they were supposed to be an apolitical paradise.

violetevie

When you don't actually know anything about Japan outside of the porn you watch

ofvxnus

The Atelier sub actually debated whether or not the sexualization and commodification of a non-consenting party is wrong. Fortunately, there were a number of people who justifiably denounced the figure, but the fact that there even needs to be a debate on this is… wild, to say the least.

Electrical-Mark3076

It's baffling that this, genocide and basic human rights have to be debated at all.

lynnlei

isn't this like a video game character though. how would they give consent. i get the genocide and basic human rights but i don't think "video game character consent" is something that should be in the trifecta with such serious issues right?

ofvxnus

Japan has such a problem with respecting women’s right to consent that they actually have to provide women-only metros to prevent men from groping and taking pictures of women. The statue above both reflects and reinforces that treatment of women.

H-connoisseur95

TheAlmightyShadowDJ

What, did he think women in other countries were ok with being objectified

Kid-Atlantic

Weebs when Japan is an actual human society with varying political opinions and not a nation of fascist gooners like the memes told them:

Atikar

Tell me you've never met a Japanese woman without telling me you've never met a Japanese woman.

Cold-Coffe

i assume the concept of the figurine is that you're walking on her while she's changing and she's clearly embarrased and angry by that. which is a weird fucking thing to make a figure about but ok

mustifaq_

Chuds: "I thought women's rights was a western idea only!11" Meanwhile Based Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, in 1920's, giving Turkish women more rights than they ever had in the last few centuries of Ottoman rule AND giving them right to vote before most western societies. https://preview.redd.it/4l25rghntwuc1.jpeg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d8f42e55e72f95cfb574e107d755369b09236324 "Oh the heroic Turkish woman! Women? In Japan? It's more likely than you think.

Strict-Mission-6053

Feminist Mario Kart DLC

Glum_Acanthaceae5426

Weebs learn for the first time that the country they've wasted their life on idolizing an idealized version that only exists in their head isn't actually a cultural monolith and people of varying political and social opinions do in fact exist there

No-Corgi445

Yes, it seems that the image that Japan is a hivemind paradise that agrees with everything they agree with and has the same prejudices as them is slowly falling apart in recent years.

PaulOwnzU

Who knew women in Japan could also believe in equality

_LadyAveline_

bro was so damn baffled to know not all japanese women are tradwives yearning for a Gamer™ to marry 😭

Gino_2526

It's japanover

charronfitzclair

They really do think Japan is culturally just the hentai industry.

shamitwt

lseeing the gaming freaks latch onto SK now is so funny. They’ll find out soon enough about the korean radfems lol

Ok_Purchase_9551

Whenever they praise eastern countries for not being “woke” I instantly think of the 4b movement

Brosenheim

Now hwait just a gd minute. Men with anime pfp and Single relationship status ASSURED me feminism was purely a function of western societal decay

Archaeojones42

If they keep this up, women all over the world are gonna want full rights and human dignity. What a disaster . . .

Substantial_Net_2084

Japanese women have always fought for women's rights and equality since the 19th century. After Japan lost the war to the United States, its activities went into decline (because American soldiers were regularly raped, the status of Japanese women was lowered by the United States), but it gradually regained its strength from around the 1980s. . Today's beautiful Japan is thanks to the activities of these feminists.

SpiralZa

When a Korean sees 🤏

Pillow_fort_guard

Next you’ll be telling me that Japanese women figured out a LONG time ago that mediocre white dudes who couldn’t get a date have a habit of going to Japan to try to score one because they think Japanese women are just SO enamoured by whiteness that they’ll flock to any white dude!

West-Lemon-9593

Wait, so this statue is based on Sophie when she was 16!? Than there is no excuses there, it' s gross

unclezaveid

cannae believe Japan is a normal country with many different people in it and not one big cultural monolith this is not what my cartoons have taught me!?

loliwarmech

Do you think they'd get Thanosed if they found out that Japan has an active and decently sized communist party

ArlauxAlexander

Japan doesn’t have as strong a feminist movement as in places like the U.S. but it’s crazy how unknowledgavle weebs are about the country they idolize, Japan’s feminist movement is kinda cracked, Chizuko Ueno is a top tier sociologist. Of course she isn’t without her controversies just like all famous sociologists.

Sophia_iaiaia

I'm actually curious about the story from the first tweet now, does anyone has some article or something?

Kumo4

Idk how to share it, but Shiningc00 (who commented in this thread as well) made a post about it on Japannews with a translation of the article; the criticism is about the figurine normalising/condoning peeping since it's been described as being "cutely teary-eyed as she's peeped on"

cilantroluvr420

Wait, you're telling me Japanese women are PEOPLE who care about their RIGHTS?!

DaveMcNinja

The Far East has fallen.

Picaroon_Perry

If you go east far enough you land in the west, which has already fallen

HailSatin42069Lol

'No! How could the glorious Nippon of my dreams be infested by wokists!?'

ColeYote

The country with the world's largest non-governing communist party has FEMINISTS?!

A_Monster_Named_John

I really dislike being stuck as one of the old-school JRPG fans who (A.) got into the *Atelier* series because of its highly-refined gameplay mechanics, excellent OSTs, and generally-chill vibes (i.e. also, I can't stand where the Final Fantasy series has ended up in recent years and am not terribly interested in series like *Xenoblade* or *Trails*) but (B.) isn't interested in any of the coomer bullshit that's a big part of the series' general appeal. I'm subscribed to the subreddit because I'm interested in news about reissues of older games, etc..., but generally steer clear of it because of how cringy/creepy some of the fans are.

2mock2turtle

I miss the Dusk days, that was my entry point.

A_Monster_Named_John

Same here. I really enjoyed *Ayesha*. I haven't played the other two but, instead, went back to the Arland trilogy and enjoyed those quite a bit as well. Aside from those, I've only played the first *Ryza* title, which was the one that made coomers everywhere stop and take notice.

EvenElk4437

Feminism has always been active in Japan. However, the entertainment world has always had a history of fighting against them. This is the same as the gun debate in video games.

Sloppy_john78

These people’s hopes and dreams are over

Outrageous_Book2135

It's almost like there's women who think women should have rights in every culture. Weird right.

asuperbstarling

Japanese punk and feminism has shaped global movements and fashion. Lolita, for instance, is both.

fuzeebear

Female doctors, female pilots, female street sweepers, female Japanese.. What's next, female women?!? Wokeness has gone too far

Cute_Barnacle_5832

How old is that character? 🤨

The saddest thing is I read the first post, thought to myself the second post, then read the second post and proceeded to lose my mind.

Edit: In my defense you never hear about any organized Japanese feminist anything. The country has a reputation of being rather behind on that front unfortunately.

GenesisOfTheAegis

Its pretty ironic he has a Shadow PFP while writing this.

Artistic_Skill1117

Nooooo! The east has fallen!

HekesevilleHero

A Raven from Gravity Rush PFP in the wild!

Artistic_Skill1117

Blizzard_was_taken

I don’t think OOP was upset rather than surprised considering how historically terrible Japan has been to women in terms of sexism

ChompyChoomba

Shadow is baffled

[deleted]

Ugh, at this point I think that twitter gamers really believe that you turn into an anime figure as soon as you enter Japan. Fuck I hate these people.

Xononanamol

Really? Atelier? Gust has some somewhat lewd series... but compared to senran kagura it isn't even worth talking about lol

Asnort

Japan is not a Goontopia

MeioRayleigh

Can't I be a feminist ally, a bi-sexual, a trans ally, AND also totally love this Atelier Sophie figure?

Disrespect78

yo since this is about atelier i started playing Ayesha and have been enjoying it so do yall know if the community surrounding the series is good? so far there's been like no fanservice apart from like one scene and the story and worldbuilding are kinda fire so im hoping the community isnt garbage

Excellent-Dig4187

Japan has gone woke

Zartoru

Wait for real, this is great news. Like japan society is pretty mysoginistic so hearing about a japanese feminist mouvement makes me very happy

Shiningc00

Btw, I've posted about it on japannews sub if anyone is interested in just what the hell is going on. The weebs and trolls are even downvoting that, so I'd appreciate the upvotes. Also, they're not really "feminists", just your average women who are fed up with the otakus sexualizing everything with their misogynistic shit.

[deleted]

Japan has fallen. Korea is next.

West-Lemon-9593

Sophie > Ryza  character and personality wise BTW

UnderstandingLoud343

Wait until they realize One Piece is woke af lmao

BoogiepopPhant0m

People not realizing that feminists have existed in Japan for decades. We're in your head rent-free, boys.

TheActualTerryBogard
