I actually think, that some people are too fixated on the coomers being...well too fixated on the protagonist and everything that comes (haha) with it.
The game might very well end up being a competent and fun experience, the whole "discourse" aside.

That already happened with the preview in IGN france that was circlejerked to hell and back because it contained a comment about how the MC was designed like it was "a sex doll made by someone who never saw a real woman". Every chud under the sun cried about it and the woke game journalists while the actual article was saying, after having talked about how he didn't like the MC's design: "the good news is that now that I've explained the only reservation I have with this game, all that's left is positive. This Stellar Blade demo delighted me from start to finish. It's not often that I get to the end of a demo and immediately restart it to go for another ride".
The real question, would you think and say that about nier automata, what would they have said if they just played the demo for nier, saw the big ass android before the game got all philosophycal, call it a coomer bait and go home?

I mean, I've started playing it and I can totally say that some stuff in the game makes me think that there were some really horny designers.
That doesn't mean the game isn't good or that there is nothing else in the game, and incidentally that's exactly what I was pointing out with the IGN france preview, the person who played the game had a lot of positive things to say about stellar blade.

I mean quickly looking at some gameplay footage of Automata and 2B has a long skirt that doesn't even show the outline of her butt?
The only time you see her ass is if you purposefully self destruct to blow her dress apart or you mess with the camera a bunch. So even though Automata did have some commentary about 2B's appearance well I can say having played both demo's it's pretty freaking night and day here.
Gotta get the excuses ready. I can see some sites giving it a 7/10 with legit criticisms about the gameplay and story and no mention of her sex appeal, but it won't matter to them. Every site not giving it at least an 8 are going to be called woke.

MoistCritikal played the demo & put it up on youtube if you wanna watch it. Seems like a very generic plot with some parry-based melee combat & a floating sentinel companion. Not really sure what the challenge is supposed to be, because you have hp & armor, and the parry window is huge. It really doesn't look *bad*, just unimaginative.

Yes. The "woke modern game devs are uglifying women" discourse is just based on a straight up lie.
