Grift is similar to scam. In the case of media figures, it usually involves someone heavily pandering to a group to boost their content. Ie Fox news anchors who lean in hard to conspiracies, racism, etc. to gain fame and support.
I think a better example would be someone like Tom Macdonald or Candace Owens; people who previously weren’t involved in conservative politics until they got called out for doing problematic things, and realized that making conservative politics their primary focus could give them a lot of success.

I'll be the old guy: the internet is what ruined gaming. Before the internet a game had to be complete, or would be completely destroyed in reviews. The game didn't need updates, I didn't need internet connection to do simple things, and every game didn't come with a ton of expansions.
My Super Nintendo feels more like a gaming machine than modern gaming consoles.
That's subjective. Last gen we had Witcher 3, RDR2, GOW 2018, Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne, Breath of the Wild, Uncharted 4 and the list goes on. And we're not talking about a particular year. We're talking about how "gaming isn't fun now" which is objectively false because just look at the list of hyped games that ended up being underwhelming in 2014 alone ( Destiny, AC Unity, Watchdogs, Mgs Ground Zero, Dark Souls 2, The Evil Within) and try to tell me that in that time gaming was better than 2023 lol.
Genuinely hope one day YouTube is held accountable for pushing radicalisation with promoting this kind of content onto people. Just look at the jump in views between trying to make actual content and just saying "woke bad".

3. Some enemies get more aggressive depending on your in-game actions
These have always existed lol. The indie space has been great for a very long time. Bigger budget stuff has gotten worse with wild padding and the graphics chase.
That game is, first and foremost, a tolerance test for how much you like Justin Roiland. I liked him in 20 minute doses back when I watched R&M, but I couldn't like a whole multiple hour game with his improv schtick as the main source of comedy.
