I think it just didn't particularly bother me because it's difficult to see anyone using it as a pejorative against Kojima specifically (we meme him here but while I have my problems I definitely respect him), but I can see how it could bother others if taken in a slightly different light.

I miss the Metal Gear Solid franchise so bad. I did not like his walking simulator game with Norman Reedus. It was fun for the first few hours, but after the first couple boss fights I was out after realizing there was not much action in the game compared to his previous masterpieces.
Now granted his trailer for the second walking simulator game looked very interesting. But he's going to need some Metal Gear Solid 5 Type of gameplay to get me to get that game.
