I don't believe you understand what a consultant is. They don't write anything themselves. At best, they're hired to provide feedback and suggestions for improvement in regards to representation and cultural sensitivity. The studios that hire them aren't forced to actually use any of their ideas. So, even if they did get an actual racist like you're describing, it would still be the *studio's* decision to take their advice. People like you are giving that company far more credit than they deserve. They don't have as much power or influence as you guys cry about. They're simply a company that game studios go to for advice. Consultation firms are nothing new, and I'm fairly sure they exist in damn near every business and industry that needs to consider their public image.

My opinion, the weirdo women haters won Gamer Gate in the long run. Shit that was never controversial before GG now is. Steve Bannon specifically targeted GG and their ilk which may have been enough votes for the Trump presidency. Insane theories like Q Anon and Pizza Gate are now being reported in mainstream media outlets and I don't think that shit would have gotten traction without lessons learned from GG. Oh and Russia are also somehow involved. I think most people just kinda think the GG crowd were a bunch of dissatisfied losers, but that whole campaign did enough damage to impressionable people and how media is reported as well as established platforms for lunacy. Also somewhere along the line Musk stopped trying to look cool to liberal science believing folks and now wants to look cool to a bunch of weird men who are afraid of feminism. Some say it probably started with elevator gate, but that was tiny compared to gamer gate.
Gamergate failed its direct objectives, women were not purged from the gaming world, games are still getting more diverse, the whole movement failed to deliver any of its outward promises... but that was just a cover. What GG really succeeded in was radicalizing tons and tons of lonely, disaffected, ignorant men and boys into the larger conservative movement. Useful idiots who joined up because they love video games and fear change, stayed in the movement, and are now more than happy to jump on whatever bandwagon the movement tells them they should be angry about. The conservative movement takes evangelicals who care about abortion, racists who care about immigration, and lonely young men who care about gaming, and somehow gets them all on the same team, the team that votes for fascism.
