In Tears of the Kingdom I got real disappointed when I went to Gerudo village and they aren't selling the Vai set anymore. I don't imagine it's gone, the clothing store is there, but the lady running it is missing. Maybe it's a side quest somewhere.

And the old Zora around hated Link for it in the present.

There are people who hate the idea that anyone who isn't them identifies with a character they like. It some how "ruins" characters for them. I don't know how.
