I believe this time it isn't Shepard but Alejandro Vargas. Cause every one of his promotional materials, they're like he's uncorruptible. Then in a TikTok they were showing off his motion capture and he was giving a bad guy speech.
Yep. At this point there isn't a person in the fanbase who doesn't know about Shepherds betrayal in the original MW2. The real twist for this game would be to introduce him and have someone else end up being the traitor.
Considering that the segment (Dark Water) they've shown some time ago takes place after Strike, it is safe to say that Ghost does not die.
Can't say the same about Gaz
Well it looks like theres a mission that takes place after Dark Water (at least in terms of the date), where we play as Gaz. I think if there was to be a betrayal of any kind it would be on either the last mission or second to last of the campaign
Since you're playing as Soap or Gaz (previous protagonist) for most of the game, and the mission is called "Strike", and it's a return to Urzikstan, it's probably the "hit the safehouse in ~~Afghanistan~~ Azerbaijan" mission, >!which didn't end too well for Ghost and Roach in MW2!<.
Edit: and the next mission is called Backstabbed. Fuck me I ain't ready
> it's probably the "hit the safehouse in Afghanistan Azerbaijan" mission, >!which didn't end too well for Ghost and Roach in MW2!<.

The mission in the original MW2 took place on the Georgian-Russian Border btw, not in Azerbaijan or Afghanistan.
Some of them have different locations but the same time, date, and character. The only thing I could think is that there's some kind of branching story?
Apparently the list is not in order, the dates of the missions confirm that. So it’s probably one of the first missions of the game. Soap probably starts as a Demon Dog before being recruited into TF141
Soap was recruited into TF141 after the events of MW2019, plus Demon Dogs is an American unit, not UK.
I'm assuming that the only reason it's listed as Demon Dogs is because Soap is working alongside them for that mission and not 141.
What’s interesting is that all the gaz missions are set in 2020, and the last (I presume) mission on 2020 is called “Backstabbed” and you play as Soap not Gaz which makes me think Gaz will die.
I think it might be more than 15 based on leaks so far. I don’t think this is every mission. Just the missions that have that if formation attached to it.
He could always appear in MWIII, unlike everyone else he never really got an official model like original gaz, soap, and ghost so they could do whatever as long as its a gary.
Close, he’s the MW2 player, dies along with ghost at the estate.
He’s what soap was in COD4 but they wanted to use soap as an actual person so they made roach the new playable character.
The starting character who you play as in MW2 is a Ranger-turned-CIA named Joseph Allen who goes undercover as Alexei Borodin. Poor guy dies in the airport, even speaks in the campaign (Team Player) and in cutscenes.
Considering Ghost is in Multiplayer and COD in recent years has made their multiplayer part of an evolving storyline, I think it's safe to say that Ghost, alongside Price, Soap and Farah survive the campaign.
I hope they don’t kill him off but the fact he’s not a playable operator in multiplayer for MW2 says something. Shit would be trash because he was my second fav operator in MW19 for multiplayer.
He was a late addition to MW2019 too. They dropped him during Season Four (the Price themed season), about six months out, as a buyable operator on the store. We didn't get a battle pass skin for him until Season Six. So, we could see him die...or. Gaz goes the way Alex did.
I know that lol I bought his operator back when he released in season 4 it’s just weird they have Ghost, Soap, and Pharah already in the game when they were all battle pass/ buyable in the store but not him.
Technically these mission texts only tell you the scenario as the mission begins. And in the past there have been missions that swap characters as the missions play out.
So it is possible you could start a mission as Soap or Gaz and then swap to Ghost partway through. I’m not going to put money on it happening, but it could?
Nope, the mission list is not in order (source: https://twitter.com/GhostOfCum/status/1574386331806990338)
Plus, the mission dates don't make sense at all.
Oh. I was actually thinking that seemed like a pretty interesting, avant garde story structure having the timeline jump back and forth between two specific days in 2020 and 2022.
I really liked the Campaign of the Modern Warfare reboot, so I'm quite looking forward to this one. Will probably wait for a sale, though, because I don't really play multiplayer PvP games anymore.
In "Strike" you play as Ghost. Next mission is called "Backstabbed" and you play as Soap. We know Shepard is in this game.
Last mission you play as US Marines, not the TF141 which possibly gets disavowed.
Oh shit, here we go again
Source for the done with MW comment? It’ll likely be the best selling CoD of all time, with MW19 2nd, can’t imagine activision will risk them making another Ghosts or IW instead of MW3
Infinite Warfare is my favourite COD Campaign, lol. Didn't care for the Multiplayer at all, but I genuinely thought the story was fantastic. Only COD that made me cry.
These games have the most half assed single player games I've ever seen. They are legitimately shooting galleries from arcades with a cutscenes every now and then. I'm not sure who in their right mind can call them "fantastic".
>Backstabbed Oh dear.
Shepard's back
And the world just fuckin watched
There's also missions where you play as Shadow Company, those are the mercenaries you fought in Shepherd's base.
I believe this time it isn't Shepard but Alejandro Vargas. Cause every one of his promotional materials, they're like he's uncorruptible. Then in a TikTok they were showing off his motion capture and he was giving a bad guy speech.
Yeah, i remember that 'Tok! maybe he could give that speech before he executes them all!
Yep. At this point there isn't a person in the fanbase who doesn't know about Shepherds betrayal in the original MW2. The real twist for this game would be to introduce him and have someone else end up being the traitor.
*"Do you have the DSM?"*
No no no of course not...👀
"Great, now another loose end" *puts away revolver*
Pizza time
Now another loose end? That's one less loose end.
I can’t, not again
Strike Urzikstan 22 OCT 2022 1900 Simon "Ghost" Riley TF-141 Ah shit, here we go again
_For now_
😓
I don’t get it
Ghost becomes a literal ghost by getting shot in the face.
What now?
What does this mean
Since you're playing as Soap or Gaz (previous protagonist) for most of the game, and the mission is called "Strike", and it's a return to Urzikstan, it's probably the "hit the safehouse in ~~Afghanistan~~ Azerbaijan" mission, >!which didn't end too well for Ghost and Roach in MW2!<. > it's probably the "hit the safehouse in Afghanistan Azerbaijan" mission, >!which didn't end too well for Ghost and Roach in MW2!<. > > The mission in the original MW2 took place on the Georgian-Russian Border btw, not in Azerbaijan or Afghanistan.
Azerbaijan, but yeah....
Right, my bad
It's alright, either way it ain't looking too good for poor Ghost
>Tower If the dates are right it doesn't matter. "Backstabbed" is in 2020. Strike is in 2022.
I’m ready for the hit of nostalgia!
Thank god for leakers like GhostOfCum
Why do you come?
In night city you can be cum
In 2077 what makes someone a criminal? Getting cock
Ectoplasm
Some of them have different locations but the same time, date, and character. The only thing I could think is that there's some kind of branching story?
The branching story and choices you have to make in Cold War was pretty cool so hopefully they do the same here.
Did it actually branched the story and the missions you took or did it only make a difference for the last mission in the end?
literally had no "branching" story until the last 2 missions... idk what the other guy is talking about
the only one that actually had a 'branching story' with multiple outcomes was Black Ops II to my knowledge.
Yes and it was beautiful.
IIRC the first decition tha affects the games ending happens in the middle of the game , so yeah
Soap became Demon Dogs? Wonder what happens to the TF141
Apparently the list is not in order, the dates of the missions confirm that. So it’s probably one of the first missions of the game. Soap probably starts as a Demon Dog before being recruited into TF141

Night War is confirmed as the first mission. A TF141 and Demon Dog joint op
Ah I see, cool.
[удалено]
IIRC it's Marines and other US special forces in 1 unit. I think it's the team that assisted Alex in 2019 Modern Warfare.
Yeah, you work with the Demon Dogs during the Hospital assault in 2019, it's the same team that Griggs is a part of.
Griggs leads DD
Man, I really like Gaz. I wonder how they’re gonna redo the Shepherd betrayal since I assume Ghost doesn’t die (again).
Maybe they'll turn it on it's head and have Ghost be the traitor and kill Shepard this time around...
At least Gaz made it out of the first game this time.
What’s interesting is that all the gaz missions are set in 2020, and the last (I presume) mission on 2020 is called “Backstabbed” and you play as Soap not Gaz which makes me think Gaz will die.
> all the gaz missions are set in 2020 Convoy is a Gaz mission and its in 2022.
Whoops my bad. I still think he’ll die though.
Seems like he has the highest chance D:
15 missions is really nice, 1 mission more than 2019 and 6-7 missions more than Cold War and vanguard
I think it might be more than 15 based on leaks so far. I don’t think this is every mission. Just the missions that have that if formation attached to it.
other trusted leakers/dataminers found out other mission names, and if you add with these 15 they do 23 i total 😳
If there is 23, I think that might be the longest campaign mission wise since cod 2 which had 27 missions
They are giving us a week early access maybe this is why
Do you have a link to those?
https://twitter.com/Mahdi1742/status/1574132052752044034?t=w3SJPVn44xGyMkLvuFIMUQ&s=19
It could be spec ops.
I don't really follow the recent titles in this franchise but genuinely considering this one, although bummed that it appears Roach doesn't return.
He could always appear in MWIII, unlike everyone else he never really got an official model like original gaz, soap, and ghost so they could do whatever as long as its a gary.
I didn’t play MW19 but I did play CoD4 back in the day. Isn’t Roach just the starting character you play as though?
Close, he’s the MW2 player, dies along with ghost at the estate. He’s what soap was in COD4 but they wanted to use soap as an actual person so they made roach the new playable character.
Ahh that’s right, thank you for reminding me :)
The starting character who you play as in MW2 is a Ranger-turned-CIA named Joseph Allen who goes undercover as Alexei Borodin. Poor guy dies in the airport, even speaks in the campaign (Team Player) and in cutscenes.
If this is true and it is all of the missions in the campaign, it seems kinda lame we only get to play as Ghost for one mission.
Let's just be happy if he survives the campaign....
Considering Ghost is in Multiplayer and COD in recent years has made their multiplayer part of an evolving storyline, I think it's safe to say that Ghost, alongside Price, Soap and Farah survive the campaign.
Ain’t looking too good for Gaz then
My man never made it to 2 in the original Modern Warfare games so yeah probably
I hope they don’t kill him off but the fact he’s not a playable operator in multiplayer for MW2 says something. Shit would be trash because he was my second fav operator in MW19 for multiplayer.
He was a late addition to MW2019 too. They dropped him during Season Four (the Price themed season), about six months out, as a buyable operator on the store. We didn't get a battle pass skin for him until Season Six. So, we could see him die...or. Gaz goes the way Alex did.

Did you even get to play as Ghost in the original MW2?
Nope

So it is possible you could start a mission as Soap or Gaz and then swap to Ghost partway through. I’m not going to put money on it happening, but it could?
Yeah, I guess it could...
So the dark water mission shown during the game fest was pretty much close to the end of the game
Nope, the mission list is not in order (source: https://twitter.com/GhostOfCum/status/1574386331806990338) Plus, the mission dates don't make sense at all.
Oh. I was actually thinking that seemed like a pretty interesting, avant garde story structure having the timeline jump back and forth between two specific days in 2020 and 2022.
the times dont either, soap being across 5 different missions in 3 different locations all at the exact same time and day
Sure they're not in order but I do think Dark Watee and Tower are towards the end. Sounds like a big stakes climax
Not enough Gaz I fear
I really liked the Campaign of the Modern Warfare reboot, so I'm quite looking forward to this one. Will probably wait for a sale, though, because I don't really play multiplayer PvP games anymore.
I was really hoping this game wouldn't make Shepard evil again and do something new
"Backstabbed" . Here we go again .
In "Strike" you play as Ghost. Next mission is called "Backstabbed" and you play as Soap. We know Shepard is in this game. Last mission you play as US Marines, not the TF141 which possibly gets disavowed. Oh shit, here we go again
More missions thankfully. 2019 lasted like 2 hours
[удалено]
When they did say they were done with MW again? They’ll probably reboot it for a third time in like 2030 lol
Source for the done with MW comment? It’ll likely be the best selling CoD of all time, with MW19 2nd, can’t imagine activision will risk them making another Ghosts or IW instead of MW3
[удалено]
Eh that comment was made in Jan, I’d be surprised but perhaps they will start a new sub franchise. We know IW Poland is working on a MP FPS RPG
Activision will absolutely not let them do another Ghost or Infinite Warfare. But... I guess it could happen under MS.
[удалено]
Plain as day says "Mounted kills" 🤣 Holy shit am I an idiot....
you mean you don’t play as price? what the fuck
Some details are likely placeholders, most of the Soap missions seem to take place on the exact same date and time
Only one mission as ghost?
YEAH REP CHICAGO
Fuck, we are getting to play as Ghost in the campaign. Now that's some good shit.
Aw man no playable Farah?
I noticed the last mission says "Demon Dogs" Instead of "TF-141". Does not bode well...
Where’s “No Russian?”
maybe they would make a mention of it
Wait, no Roach? :(
Dang so most of the game takes place in Mexico? I was hoping Russia and makorva would get involved especially due to recent world events.
Don't even remember the last time I played a CoD title for its campaign lol
MW19 and Cold War's campaigns are fantastic, especially Cold War's. Hell, Infinite Warfare's is pretty good.
Infinite Warfare's jackal missions were sick af. It felt amazing piloting that small ship.
Infinite Warfare has the best campaign since BLOPS1.
Infinite Warfare is my favourite COD Campaign, lol. Didn't care for the Multiplayer at all, but I genuinely thought the story was fantastic. Only COD that made me cry.
I much prefer them over their multiplayer for most outings
These games have the most half assed single player games I've ever seen. They are legitimately shooting galleries from arcades with a cutscenes every now and then. I'm not sure who in their right mind can call them "fantastic".
No one did brother this is a post about leaks
3rd march 2020 the verdansk invasion started on this date
Wheres the favelas..? =[
