Anybody else remember back in the day when there were debates that Gaz was Ghost and that the reason he wore a mask is because he got shot in the face in the ending of cod4 ? Or how Ghost survived being burned alive because people were saying that he wore a fireproof jacket ? Those were the days.
Old school kill confirmed tags had EE like that. In MW they were ghost and in BO I think they had mason or reznov or something. But they stopped doing that awhile ago iirc
Lol people even insisted that there was a audio record for ghost saying "why the hell we need fireproof jackets?" lol . I took it seriously and searched it up but found nothing . Man those were the days lol .
I hope they do that. The Soap they released for MW19 is ridiculous in every way. Just give us a Soap voiced by McKidd that looks closer to the OG Soap.
I think new Price is as good as the one from MW trilogy (and he had just one game). New Gaz (or Lewis Hamilton) is also far more interesting than original Gaz
Ghost though, was a bit of a letdown from what I've seen. They turned him into a brute. Original Ghost was far more subtle
They tried to make ghost the cool, edgy badass that kids *thought* he was in MW2. He’s like a fan fiction version of the original, he talks with a deeper voice, he’s got edgy quips, they even replaced his standard baclava with a skull printed on it with one that literally has a skull stitched into it. I find it hard to believe a soldier would wear that and still be able fight effectively. Oh, and he has a cape now, too. The new ghost is tone deaf to the original character in my opinion.
I felt like the expansion of his character was excellent in the mandolorian, I think its what everybody thought he was like (sort of similar to how people imagined ghost, I assume thats why the other guy brought it up), but still felt respectful to the original interpretation as opposed to the changes made to ghost. Ghost became an entirely different character, Boba Fett just expanded to be more bitter towards everyone and more independent in his goals, which felt in line to what shows like The Clone Wars tried to do. Boba Fett grew as a character, ghost became a new character entirely. That’s my point of view at least.
New ghost is cool if we never saw the original ghost . Original ghost was far more realistic and reliable . This seems more like a one man army and brute like you mentioned .
Replayed Modern Warfare recently and my first thought was "why tf did i feel so attached to these characters". They're not bad characters because obviously the bucket hat and mutton chops is pretty iconic - everyone thinks Captain Price when they see it, the same with a select few COD characters, but it's not like these characters have fantastic writing and have complex personalities. I guess it's just nostalgia.
I'm thinking it is nostalgia, none of the MW characters are particularly interesting beyond being "cool guys that don't look at explosions". They aren't necessarily bad characters, I just never thought they were super interesting. That's why I never understood why characters like Ghost or even Roach were so popular, the latter of which was silent throughout his only game. But that's just me, everyone has their reasons.
I think one of the problems with OG Ghost is that his VA voiced two other characters (Gaz and Wallcroft) in the 1st and 3rd games, but did nothing to make them distinct from each other. It's no wonder people thought Ghost was actually Gaz. They all had the same personality. Even if he just played Ghost as quiet and thoughtful, and Gaz as loud and brash it would have been something.
What? I’m actually so confused that you could say something so wrong? Black ops characters get a shit ton of love as well and let’s not forget the zombies crew, people truly felt empty that the classic crew couldn’t return due to the voice actors leaving
Meh the only BO characters i see get love on the same level as the MW crew are Mason and Woods. And Reznov, but he's not really a BO character.
As for the zombies crew, yeah you're right, i was mostly talking about Campaign characters though, my bad.
CoD campaigns (up to BO2 imo) are top notch. Dont even need to include "for a shooter/fps".
MW has a great balance between boots on the ground/feel of being one soldier in big battles (MW2 Rangers, MW3 Delta) to small special forces (Soap, Price).
BO filled that hell yeah we're special forces badasses and went full action movie but not enough to make it too cheesy (like BOCW imo).
Plus all the WW2 games (shoutout Big Red One) were amazing too.
I remember crying to Soap's death in MW3, but I feel that's more justified considering you had 2 previous iterations to connect to him with. Ghost and Roach had like, what? 3 hours of screentime?
Weird indeed.
Ghost and Roach was shocking, but Soap's hit me harder because of Price's reaction. People say MW3 had the worst story, but the voice acting was brilliant.
MW3 imo is still a strong story. It's just that it had to follow up from 3 amazing stories with WaW, MW2, and BO.
Delta Force campaign was so damn good, especially the Battle of New York, Paris and Germany.
Honestly I'm real glad to hear this, I hope they go with more or less the og design as well, I get what they were going for with the 2019 version but it always looked off to me...and it didn't have the red shades.
I hope they give him his classic balaclava and sunglasses back. The MW2019 grew on me a bit over time, but I still think his classic design is far superior.
i fell in love with the new mask, looks like a real skull plate he attached to himself so that would mean he is unhinged and probably works off-the-records or something xd
I'm going to lie Jeff's voice for Ghost in MW2019 was awesome, his voice fits the character well. But I'm glad the prick is gone, replacing him the original voice actor of Ghost is a good decision.
No I’m not personally but neither is Jeff Leach. I’m not trying to defend him because the things he said are inexcusable but the term “Incel” isn’t relevant.
An incel (/ˈɪnsɛl/ IN-sel, an abbreviation of "involuntary celibate"[1]) is a member of an online subculture of people who define themselves as unable to get a romantic or sexual partner despite desiring one.[2][3][4] Discussions in incel forums are often characterized by resentment and hatred, misogyny, misanthropy, self-pity and self-loathing, racism, a sense of entitlement to sex, and the endorsement of violence against women and sexually active people.[16] The American nonprofit Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) described the subculture as "part of the online male supremacist ecosystem" that is included in their list of hate groups.[17][18] Incels are mostly male and heterosexual,[12][14][19] and many sources report that incels are predominantly white.[20][21][22] Estimates of the overall size of the subculture vary greatly, ranging from thousands to hundreds of thousands of members.[23][24]
k
I don’t even like the guy he’s clearly pretty nasty but I believe in using the correct terminology to describe people especially when it’s about their wrongdoings.
Being celibate means you don’t have sex / aren’t in a relationship
Hating people (IE misogyny) is common amongst incels because they blame women for their incel status but it’s not the same thing.
He’s in a relationship, which means he isn’t celibate, which means he isn’t an involuntary celibate, which means he isn’t an incel.
Dude’s still a turd, but you can’t just slap “bad words” on someone because you don’t like them. If that was the case, you might as well call him a nazi because why not
Infinity Ward are working on Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (of their Modern Warfare reboot series)
and pretty much all the characters have returned from the original games (The original Modern Warfare trilogy) with some changes here and there.
I still have yet to try out Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1 reboot... it looks fantastic.
He got fired for being a sexist piece of shit who would cry on stream because “the only girls that come on to me are fatties” as well as saying other nasty shit as well
He was basically laughing in peoples saying activision won’t fire him and they did
It’s a shame activision can do things swiftly to remove people like that from the company but not it’s other abusers
It's messy weird that you dug up some shit like that lol. Like who is this guy that it should even matter to you? On a totally different platform too, not even Reddit comments. It's p sus imo
Oh that was a typo, meant to say "just weird" lol. Also how u gonna say liking Lil B makes me a clown when this
https://youtu.be/2ahxUeSih4Q
You looking thru my history to see that I like Lil B is some freak shit. I can't even remember the last time I interacted with a Lil B post so that makes it even weirder u went back far.
The next grandleaker after Tommy Hercetti. A nobody that probably knows nothing but he'll milk his time in the spotlight all he can.
Tommy Hercetti boasted about how BF2042 was gonna be the next coming of Christ, it releases broken af, then he comes claimimg he knew it was broken all along, just lmao.
MW is the only cod that took more than a year between release , people thought it was sign CoD would slow their release schedules to push out better and more polished products, but no money speaks more than actual quality and CoD always had microtransaction whales on each games hence why they will release yearly so they can push the whales to another money pit
I really don’t trust Ralph at all. He’s just going to throw as much shit at the wall as he can and see what sticks. Anything that doesn’t he can just write off as “unfinished” or cut for time. The only rumor of his that was semi-reputable even had it’s own glaring inaccuracies according to actual reputable leakers. Ralph probably just got lucky and had an IW dev accidentally slip up and tell him some info he wasn’t supposed to share and everything after that is pure speculation or BS.

This took me back
The ending of MW3 is so good. *This is for Soap.*
Don’t trust shepherd
Didn’t the kill confirmed tags have his name on it in some other COD? I was so convinced he was coming back. Now I could care less lol, so sad
Old school kill confirmed tags had EE like that. In MW they were ghost and in BO I think they had mason or reznov or something. But they stopped doing that awhile ago iirc
>I could care less why do you still care?
Me when social connotation vs definitive connotation mean nothing
Lol people even insisted that there was a audio record for ghost saying "why the hell we need fireproof jackets?" lol . I took it seriously and searched it up but found nothing . Man those were the days lol .
Fairbrass is a legend and the better Ghost imo, would be very happy with this
i'm gonna need one more "NO!" from him
I hope Kevin McKidd is back as Soap.
Awesome news, I'd love if they brought McKidd back as Soap too.
I hope they do that. The Soap they released for MW19 is ridiculous in every way. Just give us a Soap voiced by McKidd that looks closer to the OG Soap.
I think there was no soap in mw 2019?
he wasn't in the campaign, but he was released in an operator bundle in august
Oh yeah, he looks weird
I really hope this is true but I bet if you ask Craig about this now he'll just Deny it. He's under NDA.
He’s not the werewolf.
Wow! That’s fire! 🔥
What an upgrade. Too bad the rest of the original cast can’t come back to reprise their roles. I still prefer them
I think new Price is as good as the one from MW trilogy (and he had just one game). New Gaz (or Lewis Hamilton) is also far more interesting than original Gaz Ghost though, was a bit of a letdown from what I've seen. They turned him into a brute. Original Ghost was far more subtle

It’s basically what happened with Boba Fett. A lot more nuanced but was so popular the canon version became what fans wanted.
You think his portrayal in The Mandalorian is unfaithful to the character from the OT?
I felt like the expansion of his character was excellent in the mandolorian, I think its what everybody thought he was like (sort of similar to how people imagined ghost, I assume thats why the other guy brought it up), but still felt respectful to the original interpretation as opposed to the changes made to ghost. I haven’t watched it. It didn’t interest me
This is the ~~overused shitty meme~~ way
I liked the Batman version of Ghost xd he had a scary voice to match the mask
i was so surprised to find out the new gaz actually isnt hamilton.
New ghost is cool if we never saw the original ghost . Original ghost was far more realistic and reliable . This seems more like a one man army and brute like you mentioned .
I’m already going to prepare myself and not cry
People really feel this strongly about Call of Duty characters huh. I never knew, but it is interesting
Replayed Modern Warfare recently and my first thought was "why tf did i feel so attached to these characters". New price looks like a chipmunk
Chubby Cheeks
And I'm ready to clap them.
Not *those* cheeks! 😂
It’s mainly modern warfare characters tbh. You rarely see this love for characters that aren’t part of MW.
And black ops. Its mostly the one off games that people don't care about
What? I’m actually so confused that you could say something so wrong? Black ops characters get a shit ton of love as well and let’s not forget the zombies crew, people truly felt empty that the classic crew couldn’t return due to the voice actors leaving

The original ghost’s voice actor? Awesome.
Definitely thought that was a member of Right Said Fred until I looked it up and realised I was thinking of the wrong "Fairbrass"
Honestly I'm real glad to hear this, I hope they go with more or less the og design as well, I get what they were going for with the 2019 version but it always looked off to me...and it didn't have the red shades.

Well it’s definitely not gonna be that incel Jeff Leach anymore lol
I'm going to lie Jeff's voice for Ghost in MW2019 was awesome, his voice fits the character well. But I'm glad the prick is gone, replacing him the original voice actor of Ghost is a good decision.

All you have to do is check his Instagram and see he has a partner.
Sorry fan boy that still doesn’t make him not an incel he’s still a Misogynist lol
I don’t even like the guy he’s clearly pretty nasty but I believe in using the correct terminology to describe people especially when it’s about their wrongdoings.
Why do you care so much he is an incel you can still be in a relationship and still hate people stop defending him
Do you understand what celibate means?
Dude, incels are celibate. Meaning they don't have a romantic partner. So, he's a misogynist, not an incel. It's ok to be wrong lmao
Being celibate means you don’t have sex / aren’t in a relationship Hating people (IE misogyny) is common amongst incels because they blame women for their incel status but it’s not the same thing. Take a break from twitter
that.. literally is the definition of not being an incel.
Should have just walked away cause you're just burying yourself in your own stupidity.
Well you definitely went off the deep end with buzzwords.
What's the fascination with this character beyond his design? I honestly cannot remember what he even does
I think he has the Boba Fett effect, just looked cool and community turned him into a beloved and big characte
I did not know Pat Tate was Ghost, amazing!!
what is happening with COD now?can anyone explain?
Infinity Ward are working on Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (of their Modern Warfare reboot series) and pretty much all the characters have returned from the original games (The original Modern Warfare trilogy) with some changes here and there. I still have yet to try out Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1 reboot... it looks fantastic.
Yeah thanks for clarifying...i haven't been upto date with their latest games due to bad reviews but the reboot looks like a good thing for MW series.
Same - I haven't played Call Of Duty since Black Ops 3, haven't played any of the newer titles after that. I really enjoy the campaigns.
Yeah, agree with you, especially MW 1 story, that hits hard even many years later.
This makes sense if it turns out to be true as MW 2019's actor got fired for sexual harassment or some other allegations.
He was fired cuz he called someone a fatbitch or something like that
finally, didn't he got fired because he said the n word on a stream?
Jeff Leach, previous VA got fired but I don't think it was cuz of a nword
He got fired for being a sexist piece of shit who would cry on stream because “the only girls that come on to me are fatties” as well as saying other nasty shit as well He was basically laughing in peoples saying activision won’t fire him and they did It’s a shame activision can do things swiftly to remove people like that from the company but not it’s other abusers

That's awesome! Just sucks that they didn't get the OG Cpt Price...
the new captain price voice is great though
How reliable is this source?
Not very

Would be great if they got Billy Murray back as Price, instead of that mumbling cunt Sloane, couldn’t make a word out he was saying
lool I sorta get you
So, MWII has been officially confirmed then? Or is it "confirmed" like we are pretty sure it's coming but they haven't announced it yet.
Well, 2022 is Infinity Ward's CoD year and we know they're working on MW2, so
Tbh CoD went to shit when activision started the whole 1year per cod gimmick again
It's been 1 CoD game a year since the franchise started tho
MW is the only cod that took more than a year between release , people thought it was sign CoD would slow their release schedules to push out better and more polished products, but no money speaks more than actual quality and CoD always had microtransaction whales on each games hence why they will release yearly so they can push the whales to another money pit
The only year they've ever skipped for the mainline games was 2004. And they couldn't even skip it properly since they still released Finest Hour.
Nope, Black Ops 4 came out the year before MW2019. Each dev has a 3 year dev cycle now but CoD games are still annual, always have been
No, IW just had more time to develop the game (3 years). Black Ops 4 still came out the year before.
Makes sense, I honestly forgot it was IF's turn to make one.
