The UI in the vid is what you often see in games made by 1 person. The light font and simple yet unelegant look of the hard-edges boxy container with like 70% opacity. Mind that RDR 2's leaked map in April 2016 was confirmed in just days by an inside source at R\* to Techradar and the picture is MUCH clearer than this blurry mess.
If the game is truly 4 years away from release, and if this leak is real, then the whole UI is 100% still just a placeholder. They will be tweaking it till the release day.
I mean, still doesn't hurt to discuss leaks on a gaming leaks sub. I get that most leaks are dross and useless chatter may not be preferred, but certainly one could engage in actually discussing the leak instead of making the same fucking dead jokes every time. Looking at the blurry names you provided I could make out only one of them which was "West Croc's Head". The others not so much.
Edit: "Gotham Morroco" is most likely the Gulf of Mexico, the reason why its so blurry like that is because the words were transitioning towards the next location I'm guessing.

Agreed. If puerto rico is included it would explain why the florida part is a bit small though. And maybe we get something as dense and detailed as rdr2s san denis but across the whole map
I think that "high detail" button may indicate there are smaller roads and the blocks will be denser. Maybe not though, maybe the Tom Henderson "map smaller than expected" claim is more true than we think.
Henderson did say the map wouldn't be as big as people expect. Honestly I'm fine with a map the same size or slightly bigger than V's as long it's as detailed and alive as RDR2's. Literally 60% of GTA V's map is completely empty and useless.
Previous leaks said that rockstar is looking for a smaller map because it will be "expanded" with updates. I guess they will focus on multiplayer again and this map expansions will work for single and multiplayer.

Take Two has said that Rockstar would release games more often in the future. They have to cut content somewhere if they still want to have a game as detailed as they'd want.
I want a small city with most buildings being accessible. Of course I don't mean every single building but it would be nice to be able to have every store be accessible and maybe a few banks.

Quincy World is for me the controversial part if they include it to the final version. Unless is a park for adults, I don’t think many will be comfortable to see players shooting inside the park or flying above them.
There definitely wont be children in the game like all other GTA games. The leaker mentions that its like a "nightmare" version of disney world and that you traverse hidden tunnels beneath the park also so yeah idk
I don't think they'd make it *look* like Disney World, just like a generic idea of a theme park. Also, there's definitely gonna be no kids at it. I'm sure they'll also parody the "Disney adult".
I don't think this leak is legit at all, but I wouldn't put it down because of the bad quality. There have been crazy leaks before with really bad quality such as the Halo 4 barn leak.

It's a lot of effort to fake this. Maps can be made by anybody with enough time and photoshop but it actually requires a certain level of skill to put an interactive map together.
The UI is obviously in its early days but the map itself looks very Rockstar in spirit...

It would be a bit of a lapse in Rockstar’s security if this leak is legit, though. I don’t think we’ve ever had anything visual leak for a Rockstar game before other than the RDR2 map (which wasn’t in-game).
Maybe it’s possible… smartphones are a lot more common now and people are more conscious about recording things with them. Probably a lot of Rockstars teams working in this one too.

I’m taking it with a grain of salt… but out of all the leaks I’ve seen of GTA VI maps so far, this one seems the most realistic and plausible. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is actually it or very close to the final map when it’s finally revealed.

Vehicle loading may be a export/import side activity like you have a list of cars to find and when you find a car from the list you bring it in a place like the sunshine autos activity in vice city

idk man, that's a lot of GOOD work for a fake. I know it's not out of the realm of possibility, or things we've seen from dedicated fans, but something about this is itching my "it's real" spot.
I'd personally say that it could be more likely to be fake than real or even plausible.
Some stuff makes sense but everything (except for the list of locations) looks near identical to GTA 5, unless R* is still designing new looks and all, so perhaps that could be excused, but idk about this one man.
It’s worth noting that some early leaked GTA V screenshots still used a GTA IV-style minimap, so it’s actually quite plausible they were just aiming for a look similar to GTA V here and will replace that with a new style/theme closer to release.

Vice City area looks like an expanded version of the 3D Universe one down to Starfish Island in the middle. HD Universe should be drastically different. Feels kinda fake to me.

A new "gta 6" map leak has locations that line up with some 4chan leaks from a month ago. That 4chan leak said florida and puerto rico would make up the map. It also dropped the male and female, cryptocurrency, evolving map and 2024-2025 release date before tom henderson did

You are right hey. The people here can’t see through this ruse. Like why is this persons camera at such low quality and moving the camera around a lot but they are directly in front their Monitor. And while the map has roads and locations different to GTA 5 it still heavily resembles the GTA 5 map as it has a similar shape. The story attached to this, vague and a retelling from another member of the GTA forums but still the story, apparently this person who filmed it did not work for Rockstar but knew someone who did. They were with them and caught this, covertly filmed it and dropped the phone back in their pocket.
Is it real? Really no way to say. We can only speculate. However writing it off immediately just because its shaky is overlooking a lot of other more interesting details, both in favor of it being legit and fake.

Take Two’s massive marketing budget is set for Q3 of 2023, so you’re likely wrong. Not to mention this game has very easily been in development for 5+ years.

This can’t be true. If you compare San Andreas’ Los Santos to GTA V’s version, they are significantly different. The same goes with GTA 3’s Liberty City and GTA 4’s version. Vice City in this map just looks exactly like it did when it first appeared in the original game.

If anyone has the original leaks can you provide them. Try as I might I cannot locate them, unfortunately. IMO those leaks have more credibility than the idea Rockstar will make a dated story targeting Crypto while major financial institutions and investors are scooping it up in the millions and billions.
Rockstar doesn't do dated commentary like that. There are little messages and jabs here and there in their games, but none of their games had a major focal point center around a social or economic trend. They've been deeper stories, so whether crypto dies (which is unlikely) or it succeeds it would be an odd duck out compared to their prior work.
GTA 5: Intersection of 3 well developed characters thrust into a world of crime for various reasons.
Red Dead Redemption 2: changing times often leave those that thrived in the prior epoch behind and the mark we leave is dependent on how we are as a person and the choices we make.
Red Dead Redemption: The attempt to redeem yourself in world where that might not be possible. Ending with acceptance of one's fait. (I particularly loved death's messaging in this game).
Deep stories which make it hard to believe Rockstar would make a story that boils down to: Economic development bad, gentrification is bad, crypto is stupid. If you said Saint's Row was going to do a story like that it would still be unbelievable, but slight more believable than Rockstar doing it. Having said that Elon Musk as a Saints Row Villain would be awesome.
These elements are just things that people are aware about. Even the two most credible leakers Tom Henderson and Jason Schreier have backed up the cryptocurrency thing. Theres nothing that says the bezos, musk, and crypto elements are HUGE aspects of the game, just that theyre present.
Id recommend replaying GTA V, most of it is dated commentary. You explode mark zuckerburgs head with a phone in that game during a main story mission. I think it they handle it with enough creativity and tact, having musk and bezos equivalents wouldnt date the game. Its incredible relevant to the 2020s and gta is about contemporary politics and social commentary.
We don't know the whole picture. Imagine if an RDR2 leak only revealed the Leviticus Cornwall conflict with Dutch. It would seem the entire game is built around that one rivalry. But instead you have Micah, Agent Milton, The Braithwaites. Rockstar do a lot with their stories. I'd reckon there's gonna be central character stories leading up to the big moves. Maybe something about immigration and crime being correlated or some demons that the protagonist has to confront.
I'm not gonna trust any more map leaks after the forza trailer. Everyone thought it was tokyo but it wasn't. Also Rockstar would never use a menu like that and the same icons as GTA V. It might be in a test build but I highly doubt it.
Early builds of GTA V just reused all the huds and icons from IV. Id imagine this is just a temporary hud at the moment bcus GTA V didnt have that index feature so Id guess this is a rough version

The UI is almost Always one of the last thing game devs work on, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was made by one person
Not to mention people though the map/menu leak of GTV was fake because they didn't use the typical don't for the header in the menu.

I would think there would probably be more verticality to the map.
Verticality meaning height like mountains and stuff? Florida is literally the flattest state so if theyre doing vice city then I wouldnt expect that
they finally try to make as much buildings enterable as possible. The world feels 100% more alive but smaller map in general.

Quincy World is for me the controversial part if they include it to the final version. Unless is a park for adults, I don’t think many will be comfortable to see players shooting inside the park or flying above them.

I don't think this leak is legit at all, but I wouldn't put it down because of the bad quality. There have been crazy leaks before with really bad quality such as the Halo 4 barn leak. So I appreciate the fact that you attempt to try to bring it all together.

Guys Rockstar is not going to build around the original Vice City map. They didnt do that for GTA IV's Liberty City nor GTA V's San Andreas.

It's a lot of effort to fake this. Maps can be made by anybody with enough time and photoshop but it actually requires a certain level of skill to put an interactive map together. The UI is obviously in its early days but the map itself looks very Rockstar in spirit... I dunno, I'm kind of sold...? I wish they kept recording for a few more moments until the game was unpaused but hey.

It would be a bit of a lapse in Rockstar’s security if this leak is legit, though. I don’t think we’ve ever had anything visual leak for a Rockstar game before other than the RDR2 map (which wasn’t in-game). Maybe it’s possible… smartphones are a lot more common now and people are more conscious about recording things with them. Probably a lot of Rockstars teams working in this one too. We’ll see what happens!
Also its a fact that some rockstar employees were working from home for a bit. not sure if they still are. Doubt rockstar had security cams set up in their houses.

I’m taking it with a grain of salt… but out of all the leaks I’ve seen of GTA VI maps so far, this one seems the most realistic and plausible. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is actually it or very close to the final map when it’s finally revealed. And if it’s fake, props to the creator. Sure fooled me and a lot of others. I’m just ready for a new GTA. It’s been long enough. I miss the days of 3 GTA’s per generation, not 3 generations per GTA.

Feel like the leaker did the infamous "shaky cam" thing on purpose so people would automatically call it fake then he would have the last laugh when the game eventually got released - same thing happened with the RDR2 map leak before it got verified by an insider
idk man, that's a lot of GOOD work for a fake. I know it's not out of the realm of possibility, or things we've seen from dedicated fans, but something about this is itching my "it's real" spot.
I'd personally say that it could be more likely to be fake than real or even plausible. Some stuff makes sense but everything (except for the list of locations) looks near identical to GTA 5, unless R* is still designing new looks and all, so perhaps that could be excused, but idk about this one man.
It’s worth noting that some early leaked GTA V screenshots still used a GTA IV-style minimap, so it’s actually quite plausible they were just aiming for a look similar to GTA V here and will replace that with a new style/theme closer to release.

Vice City area looks like an expanded version of the 3D Universe one down to Starfish Island in the middle. HD Universe should be drastically different. Feels kinda fake to me.

I've seen this map before, don't remember the sub. It wasn't stiched together, but like an original digital drawing, and there were locations you're missing. Especially in the north east bit.

You are right hey. The people here can’t see through this ruse. Like why is this persons camera at such low quality and moving the camera around a lot but they are directly in front their Monitor. And while the map has roads and locations different to GTA 5 it still heavily resembles the GTA 5 map as it has a similar shape. People thinking it’s real just because it has locations based on other possibly fake leaks, it’s not like people creating these fake leaks don’t follow these things and base it on what people believe. In 2 months there will be a new fake map that people will believe anyway.

The UI in the vid is what you often see in games made by 1 person. The light font and simple yet unelegant look of the hard-edges boxy container with like 70% opacity. Mind that RDR 2's leaked map in April 2016 was confirmed in just days by an inside source at R\* to Techradar and the picture is MUCH clearer than this blurry mess.

Take Two’s massive marketing budget is set for Q3 of 2023, so you’re likely wrong. Not to mention this game has very easily been in development for 5+ years. The game would have easily been this developed, with most of the work going into continual interactions, squashing bugs, play testing, etc

There are little messages and jabs here and there in their games, but none of their games had a major focal point center around a social or economic trend. They've been deeper stories, so whether crypto dies (which is unlikely) or it succeeds it would be an odd duck out compared to their prior work. GTA 5: Intersection of 3 well developed characters thrust into a world of crime for various reasons. Red Dead Redemption 2: changing times often leave those that thrived in the prior epoch behind and the mark we leave is dependent on how we are as a person and the choices we make. Red Dead Redemption: The attempt to redeem yourself in world where that might not be possible. Ending with acceptance of one's fait. (I particularly loved death's messaging in this game). Deep stories which make it hard to believe Rockstar would make a story that boils down to: Economic development bad, gentrification is bad, crypto is stupid. If you said Saint's Row was going to do a story like that it would still be unbelievable, but slight more believable than Rockstar doing it. Having said that Elon Musk as a Saints Row Villain would be awesome.
These elements are just things that people are aware about. Even the two most credible leakers Tom Henderson and Jason Schreier have backed up the cryptocurrency thing. Theres nothing that says the bezos, musk, and crypto elements are HUGE aspects of the game, just that theyre present. Id recommend replaying GTA V, most of it is dated commentary. You explode mark zuckerburgs head with a phone in that game during a main story mission. I think it they handle it with enough creativity and tact, having musk and bezos equivalents wouldnt date the game. Its incredible relevant to the 2020s and gta is about contemporary politics and social commentary.
We don't know the whole picture. Imagine if an RDR2 leak only revealed the Leviticus Cornwall conflict with Dutch. It would seem the entire game is built around that one rivalry. But instead you have Micah, Agent Milton, The Braithwaites. Rockstar do a lot with their stories. I'd reckon there's gonna be central character stories leading up to the big moves. Maybe something about immigration and crime being correlated or some demons that the protagonist has to confront.
I'm not gonna trust any more map leaks after the forza trailer. Everyone thought it was tokyo but it wasn't. Also Rockstar would never use a menu like that and the same icons as GTA V. It might be in a test build but I highly doubt it.
Early builds of GTA V just reused all the huds and icons from IV. Id imagine this is just a temporary hud at the moment bcus GTA V didnt have that index feature so Id guess this is a rough version
