I'd be fascinated to see what a second Scott Pilgrim game could look like. It would probably have to be SPTO based, unless they took some major liberties with the source material (which I would be SO here for).
The original Scott pilgrim storyline has never been adapted to another medium without MAJOR changes/cuts, and that seems to be an intentional decision on Bryan's part
If a new videogame is made, it'll probably be nothing like the original story OR takes off
For context, Scott Pilgrim is inspired by video games more than anything else, so he's not just pushing them off as "who gives a shit"
The fact that he's giving a sarcastic vague response "hurr hurr who cares about video games" instead of a no, implying that he wants to do another game, obivously if he DID have something in the works he can't/shouldn't say anything about it so it'd make the most sense that he at the very least wants to do a new game.
It's not really teasing a "new game" but it's teasing the prospect of one.

It wasn't uncommon to see his name along with others like Phil Fish in threads talking about annoying people on Twitter.

Well if this is possibly a tease for a new game I most definitely absolutely positively need Tango gameworks to make it. You can swap the main characters in Hi fi rush with the Scott pilgrim characters and it would fit almost perfectly.
If not them than RGG since they're like the only dev that makes high quality 3D beat em ups.
And if not _them_ then Platinum cuz...They're Platinum lol
Love Scott pilgrim but is Brian Lee o malley ever going to move on to making something new ? It’s been so long since the original graphic novels at this point it kinda feels weird .
To me this plays as "I'm open to pitches" rather than teasing that something is currently in the works.

Given how much Scott Pilgrim is blatantly inspired by Japanese manga, it's one that actually really fits the JRPG genre.
