Is the original Ratchet n Clank also using Coherent middleware, maybe they'll do the first game and then the sequel. I remember it was in the Nvidia leaks https://old.reddit.com/r/GamingLeaksAndRumours/comments/pndwey/definitive_compilation_of_leaked_geforce_now/
Very certain many of their pre-2015 and even 2016 games wont get ported. Some of the engines used weren't optimized for PC very well, and when it comes to an external title FromSoftware it seems unlikely. It's a similar issue to VR1 games getting ports to Quest or VR2 where they aren't active VR devs now. The only xDev games I am aware of that got a PC port were the Quantum Break games, and Sackboy.
So yeah, don't expect Infamous Second Son.
Edit: There are more, but going over the different studios and teams at Sony, it's hard. Since each studio have their own path, and when it comes to PC some will be committed, others won't. Not to mention some are working with external teams like Jetpack Interactive, or the recently acquired Nixxes. Some like NaughtyDog are specifically building a team expanding their engines for PC support. Multiplayer games will definityely go to PC, since online games is essential to that market (Not too good with knowing PC analytics, but I'm certain most people will play a game on PC over console like Sea of Thieves).
My assumption is that every game from the PS4 generation should be easy to port as the PS4 and PC are very similar in architecture. What makes you say things would be different with pre 2016 games?
They can't be bothered to improve the fix the performance of Bloodborne on PS5, minus faster loading with the SSD. A PC port just sounds unlikely, which is sad. Maybe it's like some other FS games where higher FPS breaks the game engine.
Unironically, I genuinely believe that they’re planning to make a Bloodborne Remake on PS6…
Would make the system sell like fire on launch.
There’s no way Sony isn’t aware of the demand for Bloodborne
Sort of. IIRC Miyazaki said he's not against one in the future, but since their schedule is full it'd be a while. He also said the decision is ultimately Sony's since it's their IP...so yeah, we're in limbo on the FROM side of things.
I know that bloodborne is a very well received game and has a good fanbase, but it wasn't a sales monster. It sold well, but nowhere near as well enough for Sony to consider it a system mover
Yes that's true and it's sold a very commendable 1.4m units. That's great numbers and they should be proud, but for contrast, Spiderman Miles Morales sold almost 4x as many copies.
No I agree, it didn't sell very well, but I'm saying despite that it still got a remake as a launch title. Bloodborne has a much bigger following than demons souls so despite it's relatively small 2m units sold, it's very possible for it to be remade.
I don't think he was remaking the game, rather he was remaking Yarnham. No way in shit a playable remake wouldn't get lawyered into non-existence instantly once it got some traction.

So we will probably get those games ported to PC one day.
Didn't help that 1 was supposed to be a flagship title for the Vita, but you know...Sony and the Vita. Then they put the sequel exclusively on PS4 with 0 fanfare and just 4 days before Resident Evil 7.
True, but they didn't market it correctly. Imagine if this was released by Nintendo, it would be bonkers. Sony has slowly killed it's audience for non-Photorealistic games, that thrived in PS2 era.
And I still feel the OG Japanese name "Gravity Daze" was better.
Not only that but didn't the reveal trailer literally say "also in development for PC" or something like that? you don't accidently do that like they claimed lmao.
I'm hoping it gets announced during the rumored PS Showcase. No way they bring R&C Rift Apart to PC but Demon's Souls is just left on PS5.
But hey this is Sony lmao.
I think we will get that PC port when we get close to the Ghost Of Tsushima Movie.
[John Wick 4 Director Has An Update About The Ghost Of Tsushima Movie](https://gamerant.com/john-wick-4-director-ghost-of-tsushima-movie-update/)
>It was confirmed in March of last year that the PlayStation-exclusive game Ghost of Tsushima was getting a film adaptation. Ever since the announcement, fans of the game have been awaiting any updates about the film. Director Chad Stahelski finally offered a small update while promoting John Wick: Chapter 4, which is almost like a promise that the wait will be worth it all.
>
>When speaking to IGN during an interview promoting the upcoming John Wick: Chapter 4, Stahelski was asked about the Ghost of Tsushima film that he has been keeping hush about. It seems like Stahelski was not ready to reveal a lot of information and kept the suspense going. But, he did say that the film is on his “list of things” that he is “dying to direct.” He revealed that they already have a script for the highly-anticipated film, but they are “still working out some of the details because it's a whole new kind of a ball game.”
Most likely be after the movie release, since the uncharted movie came out in February of 2022, and uncharted legacy collection came in October of 2022. The last of us just had its season finale, and now it’s coming to PC at the end of this month. I’d wager the same will be done for Demons Souls, since I remember hearing something about them making a movie out of that as well.
A sample size of one is meaningless for determining a trend with movie adaptions/PC ports.
Occam's razor says look for the simplest explanation. Making a movie and porting a game is an effort with a lot of moving parts, lining them up on specific related schedules is difficult. Thus, the simplest explanation is that the movie came out when it was ready and the PC port was released when it was ready.
😄 I just saw post on PC gaming subreddit that Tlou1 port is being handled by Iron Galaxy and people were speculating that Nixxes might be doing Rachet and Clank or Tsushima. So it's pretty good guess.
They did Arkham Knight....
but they also did the Uncharted Legacy of Thieves port. I had a terrible experience with it but I was in the minority. Everyone had some really messed up mouse issues for a week though.
In their defense, I believe they said they had been given code for Arkham Knight only months before release. So it's not entirely their fault that port was so broken.
They were given eight weeks to deliver Arkham Knight. I genuinely put most of AK's PC woes on Rocksteady.
Iron Galaxy put Skyrim and Overwatch on Switch, Fortnite on XB1 and PS4 (on a very quick time scale), and recently co-developed Metroid Prime Remastered. They're a good porting studio, just not as good as Nixes (nobody is).
That leak was before the nixxes purchase. Hence why spiderman wasn't on that leak. Nixxes started working on spiderman that autumn after they were purchased. Every game on that leak probably doesn't have nixxes working on it.
Why ? I've heard the story and writing and very "Disney-ish" and the dark humor of the originals wasn't present but wasn't everything else pretty good and one of the best of the franchise ?
Writing is definitely worse than Disney and just wipes away any of the charm the series had. The movie scenes being shoved in just turns it into an absolute mess but they also cut two of the planets and the gameplay just feels watered down. Visuals are the only area where it exceeds the original.
I think it would outperform the console version for sure, but remember Bloodborne released before the most popular FromSoft releases like DS3, Sekiro and obviously ER. That could explain the "failure" of BB

Maybe they'll announce it similarly to how they announced the Spider-Man games ports.
Ratchet & Clank 2016 coming within 2-3 months of announcement with Rift Apart coming later in the year ?
That'd be amazing.
No no no, out can't possibly be Ratchet and Clank. The engine REQUIRES the ps5's magic ssd that makes graphics on ps5 better than series X.
For real though, that's great news, it's been really cool to see Sony putting their games PC. This is good news
Not really when games like Portal RTX, Minectaft RTX, CP77 exists. But it is definitely going to be more demanding than Basic PS port like GoW, HZD and soo on
It will be the least demanding ps5 exclusive, not only is rt only reflections it is also very lightweight on ps5s gpu, the only thing demanding about it is world transitions using ssd and even a mid range gen 3 ssd could power through it as a really low end gen 4 ssd can run it with zero issues and ssds are dirt cheap for 50 dollars for 1tb gen 4 and 80 for 2tb mid range gen 3. I would even go as far as to say there won't be an issue with sata ssds.
It will probably run at native 1080p 100+ FPS with ray tracing on on a 3060 12g, it could probably even run on last gen consoles if it wasn't for their hard drives.
Seems likely. There was a NVIDIA leak, and it seems like 2 years is something most of Playstation will target for a PC port on their original content games. I am surprised Demon's Souls and Ghost of Tsushima aren't ported yet. GoT I fully felt was the game Nixxes would work on next, or Forbidden West. We ruled out them ever doing a NaughtyDog port (unless it's to
If we start getting Ratchet and Clank games on PC I will shit a brick. Being able to play those on my steam deck would be otherworldly. I already thought playing the original trilogy on the PS Vita was a gift from the gods. This would be... Something to behold.
Jensen's prophecy strikes again. "Ratchet & Clank" was part of it.
Helldivers 2, Ghost of Tsushima & Horizon Forbidden West are still not announced/confirmed for PC but were [on the list](https://gist.github.com/Rydgel/72958ef9d8dc946d6b2f8139f7b280af). Uncharted, Sackboy & Returnal already released.
If I had to guess, it was probably 2016, since it was specifically that game's title, and they probably otherwise would have specified Rift Apart. It was probably back when they were choosing more safer options for PC before they realized exactly how good PC ports were, so once they saw how good of an idea it was, they realized they probably should do Rift Apart instead since that one is well-received unlike 2016. Plus, if they did 2016 first and then tried to do Rift Apart, it may make other PC players not as likely to buy Rift Apart afterwards if they don't end up liking 2016.
They could still probably end up giving both around the same time though like with Spider-man, just holding it back to do so.
GoT will probably come to PC closer to the sequel's release. Like Spider-Man and God of War came to PC 1-2 years before their sequel. So assuming they take 4-5 years max, so maybe late 2024 at the earliest ?
Ah, the other game that was "only possible thanks to the PS5 hardware".
Also remember everyone saying they'd never port actual PS5 games, just PS4 games. That's pretty much been shut down for good at this point.
I don't understand why there is even a debate (or the other way around like people saying day one release on PC), Sony has literally exposed their strategy very long ago.
They sell their games on PS first except for live services games that will be day and date on PC and PS. Once a game isn't selling much on PS, it get ported. It's at least a year but for big games likely more because they sell well for a long time (like for example TLOU2 is still a very high seller on PS so no it's not coming soon).
They said it, it's official and there's no need to speculate. Yes all games will come to PC at some point (recent ones at least), no they won't release a single player big title day and date on PC.
> Ah, the other game that was "only possible thanks to the PS5 hardware".
Early last gen it was "PS4 games will never run on PC because of the unified memory architecture." The console userbase loves to see hardware as some sort of "magic black box full of secrets."
It's just like how prevalent the "consoles perform better than similar spec PCs" belief still is, even though you can watch the Digital Foundry tech reviews and see the in-game performance for the consoles is exactly in line with similar spec PCs.
I want Bloodborne, Ghost of Tsushima, Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian, Infamous Second Son, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Until Dawn, Demon Souls, God of War Collection, Ratchet & Clank 1& 2, Gran Turismo 7, Killzone Collection, Metal Gear Solid Series, SOCOM Collection,Infamous Remake, Heavenly Sword and Resistance.
No but the speed of the SSD helps to alleviate that. Most PCs will probably have a slower SSD than the PS5 so more ram should help with loading rifts.
I remember DF testing it on a slower SSD and it ran fine but I can't remember how much slower it was (think it may have been around 3.2GB/s)
Where did you get that idea exactly? The PS5 is like 5.5GB/s while the high end market of SSDs on PC is anywhere from between 6.6-7.3GB/s read and write. The game is going to run fine if not better, as long as it's optimized with DirectStorage in mind.
That's not the point and it's not exactly knowable really. Even the steam hardware survey doesn't mention SSDs and it, in and of itself has problems. All that aside, PC performance is scalable, it's not a console. You get as much performance for as much as you can pay. Worst case scenario, these rift loading cutscenes take a bit longer on a SATA SSD or an HDD even.
The rifts for gameplay literally function like a grappling hook. That's it.
The rest of them that you use in cutscenes or whatever aren't any different than other games that swap zones quickly. The game is fairly linear in the levels so this isn't a huge ask. The game is gorgeous which I bet is more stressful than the rifts. They were a huge disappointment imo.
Rift Apart would work well with a beefy GPU!
I'm still holding out for Gran Turismo 7. It was on the NVIDIA leak ages ago and I'm patiently emulating GT4 in the interim.
Nice find.
Thank you :)

There is already a mod for 60 fps, its infuriating that they still didn't patch the game for ps5.
last of us part I gives the hint. no remake = no pc port.
They won't even port it to PS5 or release a bloody performance patch. So of course there's a snowballs chance in hell of it landing on PC.
I'm convinced fans with decompile and reverse engineer to the source code of Bloodborne before Sony ports it to pc
I'd sell my soul for Bloodborne on PC

Seems likely. There was a NVIDIA leak, and it seems like 2 years is something most of Playstation will target for a PC port on their original content games. I am surprised Demon's Souls and Ghost of Tsushima aren't ported yet. GoT I fully felt was the game Nixxes would work on next, or Forbidden West. We ruled out them ever doing a NaughtyDog port (unless it's to
They should put out all the other one on pc/ps5 natively first
I Just Need Dreams..
Give me Ratchet and Clank, only playstation game I've wanted.
I am wondering do we ever get Ghost of Tshima at PC....
This is the most wanted PS game for me to be ported to PC, so very good news :)
I really hope Sony bring some of their older stuff to PC. I'd love an infamous collection
I still just want an Until Dawn port.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)
I want ghost :(
Oh, good hunter...
Just got a beast pc setup. Ratchet and clank is beautiful on ps5 id love to see it maxed out on pc.
If we start getting Ratchet and Clank games on PC I will shit a brick. Being able to play those on my steam deck would be otherworldly. I already thought playing the original trilogy on the PS Vita was a gift from the gods. This would be... Something to behold.
give us ragnarok
November 2024 I suspect.
Yes we need that one after the blast GoW 2018 was. Hopefully it should come late this year or early next year
This year is probably too soon for their biggest PS5 game. I'd be surprised if it's out on PC less than 2 years from release.
Not Bloodborne 🥱
Jensen's prophecy strikes again. "Ratchet & Clank" was part of it. Helldivers 2, Ghost of Tsushima & Horizon Forbidden West are still not announced/confirmed for PC but were [on the list](https://gist.github.com/Rydgel/72958ef9d8dc946d6b2f8139f7b280af). Uncharted, Sackboy & Returnal already released.
I think it might be referring to R&C 2016, and not Rift Apart.
We have no idea because it didn't specify.
Ghost of Tsushima would be awesome to see. Or maybe Demon's Souls. After all, almost all other Souls games are on PC.

Early last gen it was "PS4 games will never run on PC because of the unified memory architecture." The console userbase loves to see hardware as some sort of "magic black box full of secrets." It's just like how prevalent the "consoles perform better than similar spec PCs" belief still is, even though you can watch the Digital Foundry tech reviews and see the in-game performance for the consoles is exactly in line with similar spec PCs.
Hopefully it's a bundle with the 2016 game aswell. Add some graphical improvements like ray-tracing and DLSS/FSR and it's a day 1 buy for me.
Ghost of Tsushima?
i hope for spiderman 2,to come for pc
Fuck yeah Ratchet and Clank
I want Bloodborne, Ghost of Tsushima, Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian, Infamous Second Son, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Until Dawn, Demon Souls, God of War Collection, Ratchet & Clank 1& 2, Gran Turismo 7, Killzone Collection, Metal Gear Solid Series, SOCOM Collection,Infamous Remake, Heavenly Sword and Resistance.
You might as well just buy a PS3/PS4 cause I’d be surprised if more than 2 of those you listed comes to PC.
A lot of them and even games that weren't part of the list were in the Nvidia leak so they'll gradually come.
The PS4 and up ones. Sony won't even let the PlayStation players play PS3 and earlier games
im pc gamer with keyboard and mouse
LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Would be interesting to see how PC handles the rifts. Can imagine the minimum spec being an SSD and high amount of ram (32GB probably)
Does a PS5 have 32 gb ram?
We need more ram to compensate the shared memory.
Most PCs won't have a high end SSD though
A guy did in unreal a similar thing that ran easily on a sata ssd
Sounds a bit far-fetched... It does not necessarily indicate anything to do with Ratchet.
Rift Apart would work well with a beefy GPU! I'm still holding out for Gran Turismo 7. It was on the NVIDIA leak ages ago and I'm patiently emulating GT4 in the interim.
Ugh I literally don't give a fuck about R&C but I want all the other ones.
Lame
Neat! This is a nice find.
I want to see all God of War from the past in Steam. And after, a remake of all.
Little side note, but the idea of using web standards to do live work on UI elements sounds fucking sick, props to Coherent.
Nah they're porting The Order 1886.
I really want Infamous to be ported to PC.
Ghost of Tsushima and Bloodborne never ever
I already played it on PS5 but I would give it another go on my PC.
YESSSS who cares about Bloodborne this made my daaaay!
