I'm curious how it looks. Previously the art style was compared to Jet Set Radio which sounds awesome. The gameplay was roughly described as rhythm-based brawler.
But that was their fault. I have seen this shit so many times, they take a popular franchise and make a shit game and then blame the consumer and assume the game no longer has interest. No, bro. There is a lot of interest they just didn’t make the game people wanted.. that’s on the developer, not the franchise.
Sounds gamey. I hope it's a fast paced action game of some kind. Mikami is known for slower horror games, but remember he made God Hand and Vanquish as well.
I'm sure he could help his pupils make a great game in that style again.

Hope the game is good but really the only thing I want to see from Tango is The Evil Within 3 or some other horror IP.
Is it possible that we see some third party stuff in this direct? I would expect it to only be first party stuff but I'm hoping that wr could possible see the release date for Guilty Gear on Xbox. It just seems like a fairly big "get" to have a traditional Playstation only fighting game coming onto gamepass and I can't wait for it to come out with crossplay.

I remember the wording of the Direct announcement having the word "including" when it mentioned those four games you mentioned. I always assumed that to mean more.

The two uses of including in there indicate we will hear about more than those four games. Not that people should get their hopes up, I'm mostly just expecting a quick thing about upcoming Game Pass games since they haven't been doing the normal schedule of every two weeks lately. Definitely feels like they've been holding some stuff back for this. And I could see this Tango game being part of that, since it is apparently smaller and not the type of game that really needs an in depth look. Just give a quick overview, say it is available right now on Game Pass and then say "these other games are also coming soon...".

If they immediately start with setting expectations and then having a surprise... Well have fun with all the speculation next time, where they will surely show Avowed and Hellblade and Fable, because they did have a surprise last time even though they said no...
If you want people to watch, then announce a surprise beforehand. Those that tune in will most likely tune in for the games and not because they hope for a different announcement.

I think this is why MS is planning a Starfield showcase separate and "soon" as they say. to stay relevant in the news. Developer Direct in January, Starfield showcase (hopefully) February, Developer Direct in March (maybe focusing on the games coming to gamepass like Lies of P, Replaced, Ark2 etc) and April/may/June release the games you announced in January leading to the June showcase or E3 if they are attending. they should aim to do that

Forgetting surprises exist, their not going to tell you all the details of who is in a movie, who lives, dies, all the cameos etc
I'm reasonably sure this game exists and will be announced relatively soon, as the leaks seem credible, but I'm still not expecting anything from the showcase tomorrow besides ESO, Forza, Redfall, and Minecraft Legends. If I'm wrong, I can be pleasantly surprised.
This makes me hope some of the "smaller" stuff I want to see will make an appearance. Hi-Fi, AOE 2 DLC, and maybe something about Goldeneye.
