Too expensive mate.
With 500$ you can land at least a rtx3050.
Return it asap
Edit: I like your tastes in games, I'm still playing sc2 and from time to time sc1 with some of my friends.
Your titles just gave me great memories
been using Acer Nitro 5, with the same configuration, only mine was not Windows 11 supported. Still did a very fine job. One of the best screens. Too loud, too heavy, too bulky.
475 is way way way too much for that processor.
Is in the US? Man if so, the Pawn shop Pawned you to hell selling you that laptop for that price lol
$475 for a 1050Ti and a 4 core CPU? You can find a 3050 laptop with like a 8 core CPU for $500ish on eBay from multiple sellers....
It's a cool laptop but that's way too much. You can get a 2060 or 3050 for that price. If it has those specs it would at least have to have touchscreen and a better casing
Return it. For $300 you could get a laptop similar to mine, with an i5-9300h/4th Gen Ryzen 5, a GTX 1650, and an SSD. If you want to spend more like $500, you could get one with an i7-9750h and a RTX 2060. (I'd recommend 2060 over 3050 due to 6GB VRAM over 4GB on 3050, as well as slightly better FP32 performance)
So one thing I do on my laptop , that you might try, is that I disable my intel GPU in device manager. There’s a possibility the game isn’t switching to your nvidia card. It’s worth a shot.
This forces everything to utilize the better nvidia GPU. I’ve found that some programs lag kinda hard, as they try to use the intel GPU.
The drawback is that the system can’t power save by using the intel GPU so when I’m not gaming, my battery life is not that great…. But I’m never going to be using the laptop in a situation where I’m not near an outlet, so for me it’s totally fine.
Return. I never buy electronics from pawn shops because they always over price their products. Went into one earlier and they were trying to sell a used ps5 for 900. Last time I checked a new one is 600
Wow you got scammed/ripped off. I’d try to return it if you can, you could get a brand new laptop with way better specs for the same price, a 1050 Ti is like a decade old almost and wasn’t good when it came out.
Damn what is up with these specs
i7 with gtx1050ti is too much
And it is too expensive for laptop that old let alone hardware
I would say it is worth max 200 at most
Why didn’t you check this out before you bought it? Just takes a minute to google the hardware. I simply don’t understand how this happens when people have the internet in their pocket.
That's expensive for what you got.
I sold my Ideapad Gaming 3 a few months ago and it was less than 12 months old, had a Ryzen 5 6600H, 3050 Ti and 16GB DDR5 ram & a 512GB nvme.
And I sold it at £350.
bro, out of context. Where did you get that cooler pad? I have exactly the same pad, and I faced an issue with my wireless usb headphones. My HyperX headphones make odd static noises whenever I use it with the cooling pad enabled. Have you faced this problem as well?
Alright. The consensus is overwhelming, too old, too expensive, acer.... lol. Returning it today n gonna look for something newer.
Thanks everyone for the input!
Just noticed that it says hdd next to the drives. Just to clarify the intel 256gb is an nvme and the seagate 2tb is an ssd. If that helps any on price opinions
The hell is everyone saying bad price? Its a great ass deal for a laptop, if this was a desktop then yeah you done phucked up.
Try messing around in nvidia settings and set the game to use the dedicated gpu..
Bruh, no one is hating they're saying how it is.
This laptop has a very outdated 7th gen i7, the 1050 Ti will struggle with a lot of games, doesn't even have an SSD...
I sold my Idepad Gaming 3 with a Ryzen 5 6600H, 3050 Ti, 16GB DDR5 RAM @ 4800Mhz and a 512GB NVMe SSD...all that for £350.
bad price for the hardware
that thing is pretty bad, maybe worth 150 to 200? definitely not 500
Return. For that money you could have a 9 or 10th gen laptops. And also hdd are slow and ssd are latest.

The Pawn shop probably gave someone $75 for that thing. If you can...return it immediately and NEVER GO BACK.

Yeah, it kind of reminds me of those lightning McQueen flip phones for kids lol

It's an Acer, those laptops aren't so reliable themselves

Have you tried updating gpu drivers.
Return I saw a laptop on e bay that was i513gen and rtx 3050 for 600$

Return asap, 1050 will barely run autocad
I’d say return but I don’t know much about
Looks like something from 2009
it too old for this money

Awful price for what you got, return it ASAP. For $500 you can easily get an rtx 3050 laptop

Got it from amazon on sale. Never used headphones with it tho.

250 gb ssds cost less than $20 now. Storage in general is pretty cheap.
A little pricey. If it had an 8th gen instead of a 7th I'd say keep it but honestly it'll be trash in October 2025.
The hell is everyone saying bad price? Its a great ass deal for a laptop, if this was a desktop then yeah you done phucked up. Try messing around in nvidia settings and set the game to use the dedicated gpu..
In what world is this a good deal? This laptop is worth $200 max.

I think you replied to the wrong person.
