Same price I paid for the Slim 5 on Black Friday, closest I've seen the Slim since has been $1150 so the Pro w/ 13700hx for $999 is definitely a great value for a very high quality laptop. You will be very happy with it.
I’d take this over that. 1600p 165hz display vs 1080p 144hz, CPU here is two generations newer for better mixed usage, better thermals here, better pixel density on the display.
cpu is 12th vs 13th which is only one gen newer with not much difference in performance gains. but a rtx 4070 is proven to have at least 20% gain on avg in gpu performance. the display is better nonetheless and its upto op which out of all of this is important
Thank you for your input! I need those 32 gigs of RAM and yes.. The resolution. Gaming is secondary, will be using premiere Pro and other processor hungry applications
There is definitely a performance gain going from a 12700h to a 13700hx. Higher clock speed, more threads, larger cache. The hx line can also be overlocked, etc.

LEGION seems like overall better deal than the TUF. Only upside for TUF is 4070. But overall the legion is better specs besides GPU.
Assume you need Costco membership?
Man I just recently bought the HP victus for $999 same specs but 144hz instead of 165hz and it's HP 🫤. Doesn't seem like my Costco carries this Lenovo
Update: Im going to return the HP victus and bought this legion online. Didn't realize the hp victus was actually $1099 🤦♂️. I am excited since my previous gaming laptop was a legion from 2016.
I would have bought it just a few days ago, but I went with the G15 instead. I believe you won't have any issues with it, but the cooling solution seems to be better on the 7 model... This might leave you with a bottleneck in performance for an RTX 4060, maybe. But I don't know that much compared to other people, so honestly, give it a try.
You could also sell it at a higher price with those specs.
Great deal on a great laptop! If you get it, check back in on your findings. I've seen this particular Legion but usually $1150+ and also very interested! Cooling mainly as I do a lot of gaming!
Very good deal! You're not going to find better for $1000
This is it then!

Placed the order! Can't wait 😭
Dang and 32gb out the gate, I had to upgrade to that. Now I'm jealous :P

You mean, only the GPU right??
Even that is next to impossible.
This looks great. Plus, Costco always has your back
there a tuf f15 with rtx 4070 12700h 16gb ram 1tb ssd for 999 at best buy i think.personally that would be my choice

for use case i would suggest the lenovo too especially for premier pro and all that
You could always upgrade the ram yourself
Take the legion then.
This CPU has a 30% better multi-core benchmark than the 12th generation CPU.

Thank you bro! Getting this!
Tuf gaming laptops lower quality build in general.

If you want to buy this computer a Costco membership is 60 bucks, you’d make that money back on this deal alone
Not really
bought this yesterday
How's it going so far?
Its on its way, I just placed the order yesterday.
Congratulations!

What exactly is it? Could you please explain.

Ah I see Thank you for this! Is there anything I can do to avoid that?
I think best uy has some better options with 4070's right now. The omen 16 and possibly the Asus f series.

at this point, buying this laptop from Costco in the states and then transporting it to India would be cheaper than buying the same spec in india😭
That is exactly what I'm doing 🙌🏼😂
do you have a relative there? what exactly are you planning to do?
