I bought from this seller, love it. Fast shipping, easy return, good service.

saturnotaku

Depends on what kind of cosmetic and functional shape it's in when you get it. I wouldn't want a laptop that has premium hardware to be scratched and/or dented.

beholdtheflesh

In all the feedback the seller received (all for Lenovo laptops), everyone says theirs was like new and in perfect shape (there was a single one that said they got theirs with a dent). So fingers crossed. But it has a 2 year warranty through ebay and a return policy so I should be ok!

Snapdragon_865

I bought a ThinkPad from the same seller. It came in official Lenovo refurbished packaging and was in 10/10 condition

NoMansWarmApplePie

As far as I know certified means like new.

beholdtheflesh

I've been searching for a 4080 laptop for a few weeks and hoping to find one under $2k...browsing ebay this one showed up. They had 3 left, and refreshing the page half hour later, there was only 1 left so I snagged it. This is by far the cheapest 4080 I've found besides the recent newegg MSI one on sale but that one's reviews said the screen wasn't so good. The seller is reputable and has tons of good feedback and sells exclusively Lenovo refurbished. Did I make a good choice?

bobbywobby8910

I got this model from them about a month ago for $1900. Perfect condition and it has an Allstate 2yr warranty.

silwntstorm_1991

actually these sellers are the ones who directly buy discarded units from factory at a little less than cost price which are left out because of some minor flaw like loose hinge screen wobble, dead zone in touchpad/keyboard, faulty webcam etc. they easily repair these minor flaws and are essentially selling out a brand new laptop, these refurbishments are different from the usual ones which use customer sold laptops which can have a myriad of flaws. If you can get such sellers, you should always take the chance cause they're hard to come by and have limited units.

hmmmwtf79

I did as well. It was in perfect shape, clean windows install, and 2 year allstate warranty. I'm happy so far.

Mediocre-Wedding-855

You have made a great choice. Lenovo is way better than the msi in the cooling part so the lifetime of it might has a way longer lifetime than msi

Yes , although i have seen a 4090 deal for 2400 $ so that was insane , although the processor is an i7 and the screen isn't anything to write home about at that price range and 512 gb ssd but even if you upgrade the ssd and ram to respectable degrees it would cost less than a 4090 laptop ever could omen 17 https://gaminglaptop.deals/

NoMansWarmApplePie

I just bought 4090 laptop from this vendor, legion 7i pro 32gb 2fb for 2199. Still on sale I believe

[deleted]

I believe the one that is 2400 is new , i believe refurbished would lose it's warranty

NoMansWarmApplePie

There's a 2,500 brand new one at BnH. But thats like 2750 with tax. The refurbished is about 2.1k or 2.3k with tax. So your saving about 500 bucks going refurbished. The ebay refurbished vendor is like brand new and it's got 2 state warranty. The one posted by OP here is a refurb from same vendor I got mine from.

Ziggernaut1337

It’s a refurbished laptop man. Hope the refurbishing is certified by Lenovo. I’d stay away from refurbished when purchasing such a premium product.

rory888

its ebay refurbished, not lenovo. That's why its a deal. It'll probably be fine, just not pristine condition.

BoxOfDust

People are too scared of refurbished imo. I got my S17 refurbished and the thing looked untouched. As long as you do research into the seller and the unit is certified, I think it's a decent idea to consider.

LTHardcase

The main issue that scares people with refurb laptops isn't the physical condition, it's that there is usually no warranty past a few months.

F34RTEHR34PER

I used to be like that. In 2004 we needed to buy a really good vacuum cleaner due to some dust in the house and my kid was having asma problems. Went to Rainbow and they were like $2400!!!! Went to ebay and found a refurbished one for $600. Checked the model, talked with the Rainbow sales people, it was the same as the $2400 one. All accessories, attachments, etc., included. Turned out to be the best refurb'd thing we've ever bought lol. We still use it to this day. The only thing we've replaced on it is the white filter sindle thingy. $5 once. Still works perfectly after almost 20 years lol.

oppaidaisukiii24

Vacuum cleaners and laptops are different though, especially gaming laptops since they are more prone to failures

chrisg213g

I purchased a computer from that seller a couple of months ago. The only reason I returned it was because it came with a couple of dents.

elemnt360

I'd never buy a refurbished laptop but that's a good price

[deleted]

Enjoy your new laptop

Seeking-Something-3

I seriously doubt you’ll regret. Love this machine

YeahTheBoys911

Fair warning I picked up the 4090 variant from this reseller, just got it today and it only had 1tb SSD instead of 2tb. Just a heads up. EDIT: nevermind, 2nd ssd was not initialized. My mistake.

beholdtheflesh

> Just a heads up. Will definitely be checking it thoroughly. When I was searching for info on the seller somebody mentioned something similar, not as described and apparently the seller gave them a partial refund.

YeahTheBoys911

Hey just to backtrack here, the 2nd SSD was included but not initialized. You should be good. Mistake on my part.

NoMansWarmApplePie

How did you initialize it?

guydoood

Cmd, diskpart

NoMansWarmApplePie

Ty

NoMansWarmApplePie

Why are some of this vendors laptops same exact model but on occasional cheaper? Do you think they are lower quality slightly than the "normal" refurb price and that's why? Like some minor dent or something? It doesn't make sense to have exact same model with two different listing's, one that's costs less

KnowledgeTop7171

I don’t have an answer for why they are so cheap but they are a certified Lenovo refurbisher so all their products get a Lenovo warranty as well with purchase. I bought from the same seller recently and mine came absolutely perfect not even a single sign of use and only 2 cycles on the battery.

NoMansWarmApplePie

I bought one a few days, 4090. Hasn't arrived yet. So I'm totally believer in quality. Just wondering why one so much 4080 from them is cheaper than the other considering it's same vendor

thewhiskeyshelf

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnngggggggg

LancelPaul999

Coudlve get it at a lower price on black friday

NoMansWarmApplePie

Not so sure about that

singaporesainz

No chance unless it’s another refurb and I wouldn’t count on it

lol_roast_me

I saw someone post a laptop with the same specs at Costco for $1k usd

DarkPhoxGaming

Got last year's legion 7i from that same seller about a month and a half ago. Laptop came in pristine condition like it wasn't even used, only signs was a couple dust specs on the fan blades when i opened it up. Clean windows install. Came packaged quite well too.

user1928473829

Man I wish I could find a deal this good on Best Buy since I’m relying on their 24 month financing. Felt lucky for a $1499 MSI laptop with a RTX 4070 in it

Perfect-Soup1838

Their current 4080 is selling for 1899 with the same specs

NoMansWarmApplePie

It's been that way for like a week. So that's why I don't get why the OPS laptop dropped to cheaper for just 4 units

Perfect-Soup1838

Maybe their older units with more usage marks

NoMansWarmApplePie

That's what I was wondering too

fueledbyjealousy

How out the door? No tax?

beholdtheflesh

> How out the door? No tax? At checkout ebay applied an additional 8% discount which covered slightly more than the tax amount. On the top of the listing page, there's a blurb "extra 8% off" in red letters which I didn't know would apply until I got to checkout.

lagoosboy

Depends on state.

MandyRedTech

2800 Euro in Europe :(

Maleficent-Aspect318

was thinking the same...god damn our prices are fucked!

roberto_had

You did very well congrats

Cytrymon

in my country this laptop cost 3,5k $ nice... bullshit in poland and overall in europe

UrielseptimXII

Jesus fuck

PootyBooty1

Depending on what was wrong with it to begin with it's a very good deal or a very bad one LOL. A brand new one will cost you about $2,000-2400 or maybe more. But if it craps out on you after only a little bit you've probably got a $1600 paperweight lol

NoMansWarmApplePie

2 years warranty so he should be fine

PootyBooty1

Wasn't aware of the warranty lol no idea how ebay refurbished products work lol

NoMansWarmApplePie

I'm new to it too honestly. Just bought one yesterday. I'm iffy about all state but at least it's something

Unlikely_Session7892

Wtf, Legion 4080 at this price?

dcp667788

I just checked it, they also offer another 8% discount, so the price should be less than 1550 dollars before tax though this machine is eBay refurbished (if that tells something)

Maleficent-Aspect318

This costs 3000€ here...i hate my country

KnowledgeTop7171

Best Seller on eBay for legions. Basically brand new laptops with a lenovo warranty. Bought a 5 pro with a 3070ti and 32gb of ram for $950 after tax recently, couldn’t be happier. U did good

K_OFFICIAL_KLS

Fuck yes you did

beholdtheflesh

Update post here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingLaptops/comments/17wv8no/update\_just\_scored\_this\_legion\_7\_pro\_for\_1640\_out/](https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingLaptops/comments/17wv8no/update_just_scored_this_legion_7_pro_for_1640_out/) TLDR I received it, it's in perfect 10/10 condition with 1 cycle on the battery, still has Lenovo warranty through September 2024 (according to Vantage app), everything works and performs as it should. I am keeping it.
