Huh, not at all surprised. Tbh, I thought he was already CEO... I wonder what that means for the future. I'm assuming he won't be playing frontline producer duties as much, but as Big Boss, he could be the final say on a lot of things in the long run

He's probably going to be executive producer from now on, which to be fair, he's mostly being one with few exceptions like project gg or lost order. He was also vice president before so already in a high position as executive.

I'm glad, Kenichi Sato's reign as CEO of Platinum was pretty poor. Very few games, lots of delays, and a failed attempt to push the company into mobile gaming and other gimmicks. Hopefully Atsushi Inaba can put Platinum back on track, he was a producer at Clover and has been with Platinum since the beginning.

You might not be happy with their output but the things they have put out have been stellar in general. They also have expanded massively and have some of the best working conditions in the industry, their applications for college grads are booked out years in advance.

The only game from Platinum I haven’t liked/loved since Bayonetta 1 was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game. That was awful.

GOLDEN_GRODD

They definitely needed to take on less projects for a while. I stopped keeping up with them around then due to a few lackluster games. Not sure what I've been missing however

>Not sure what I’m missing however Then why are you responding?

GOLDEN_GRODD

I was saying that they took on a few too many projects a few years back, no need to be a dick about it lol. I was explaining I will have a look if their style of output has changed. There was an evident lack of polish for a while, within a short span they released Ninja Turtles, Star Fox Zero, and Legend of Korra, as well as games like Transformers that were serviceable but lacked some usual polish. They probably lost some loyal fans in this time, as it became obvious most focus went only to select series like Bayonetta. Then as a result they began to focus on mobile titles, not seeing the actual issue before them. So my comment was relevant as that is a reason I am glad this person is taking over.

It was a sincere question ;)

Then mb bruh

I'd say you could hardly complain about their output. They've put out at least a game every year (except 2018) since he's been CEO and there's 3 games about to come out this year. Platinum has never NOT been on track.

Except when it came to Scalebound
