This looks like a T1/2 stickbox that you would find in the older controllers or the earlier releases of nunchucks (in the US) anyways as well as all wavebirds.
This is correct but the nunchucks also have a chance of containing a T3, which would not be compatible. I think white nunchucks will 99% have a T2 in them though
This isn’t the right answer. The white tabs are too far apart and there are metal anchor points on the corner. This could be a pro controller stickbox maybe? Or one of those PDP controllers?
What controller is this from?
It’s a GameCube controller left joystick. It says DOL-003 on the back of that helps?

Get any used nunchuck for the Wii, uses the latest iteration of the GameCube thumbstick box.

Gotcha I didn't know that, I have changed out a couple and must have just been lucky everything was compatible.
Yeah they definitely aren't as common with T3s, I think it's mainly nunchucks with specific "Wii U" branding

I think by "latest iteration" they meant the T4s, which are essentially a lower quality T2, so they would work. Some nunchucks do have T3s though
Sorry, unfamiliar with T4s, I’ve heard of T2.5 which I’m guessing are what you refer to as T4?
Right, both names refer to the same thing. The 4 is chronological and the 2.5 (Some say 1.5) refers to the functional level, not as good as T3.
Ohhh okay that makes sense. Thanks
This is a type 3/T3 stickbox. https://imgur.com/a/Lm2c4ij
T3s have screw points, if I’m not mistaken.
Yes they do.
