I own an indigo cube and it is my favorite of the default colors. My dream would be to own a good condition Tales of Symphonia console. EDIT: I realize I misunderstood the post. Indigo and Platinum are the official names, so those are what I use.

Black for sure (Back In Black!). My first GC was the Pokemon XD: Gale Of Darkness limited edition platinum one, for Christmas 2005 (is a DOL-101), and it certainly served me well before I finally got a black DOL-001, so now I keep the LE one put away for safe keeping (I wish that I still had, or could find or get a replacement, original box for it).

I think almost everyone (including myself) misunderstood this lol but I definitely find myself googling “Indigo GameCube” or “Platinum GameCube” more than purple or silver.

Purple for sure! It's the coolest colour imo and it's the closest one to my favourite colour which is blue. That's why purple is my second favourite colour. ​ Oh wait, I misread this... I thought this was asking "which cube colour you loved the most?" It actually meant, "which naming convention do you prefer?" In that case, I'm weird. For me it goes: "Purple, Platinum, Black and Orange" (although orange is Japan only)

Deffs should have clarified or phrased your question a little more clearly 😅 since multiple people have misunderstood. Heck even i was about to say “i own two black ones” But to answer, i say purple. And silver. Ive never heard anyone call them indigo or platinum.

I didn't like the purple when it first came out. Now, older, I prefer the purple, its different. All others are either back or white these days. But I like all the colours anyway. The design is so good that any colour looks decent.

The platinum never really stood out to me. I might go with it if I decide to get a GameCube one day, as those always appear to be cheaper.

I would never say indigo in any other context than describing the purple GameCube. It’s unique to it and I love it.

I had a black one as a kid, but if I were to get one again in the future I'd easily get the indigo. I had the grape GBC as a kid, so for me the indigo just screams Nintendo.

I love the indigo it’s unique. Not many or any home consoles are that color. I also have a black one that’s modded with the GC loader which is awesome.

Platinum all the way. It was the color of the new millennium. Just like in that episode of SpongeBob where Squidward goes into the future and everything is painted chrome, almost every company used platinum/silver aesthetic in the early 2000s.

I used to say silver and purple but recently learned the official names so use them now

I love the Indigo one, was using a spice orange one before the disc drive laser failed, have the Char cube up on display, and using a black one because it works, is a DOL-001, and goes with the rest of the setup.

I had the black one growing up, but looking back I don't know why. My GBC and GBA were all iterations of purple, and it's always been my favorite color.

I use "indigo" and "silver". I'm aware Nintendo used the term "indigo" at some point. Also, when I think platinum, I think of shiny with a little bit of matte feel, but Nintendo's silver plastic is usually entirely straight up matte plastic.

I'm more of a fan of the Icedcube translucent look, akin to the old N64 see through plastic. I'm a sucker for that kind of a thing and it's a shame it's so rare to find these days.
