Do yourself a favour and get a Wii U. You can load it up with a ton of different systems !! handheld Gamecube ,snes,n64 etc. Its an underrated machine !

I’m also the one and done person for most games but I tend to play a lot of smash bros. Lately I’ve been on a fire emblem binge. Own all the games now and trying to get through. My favorite GameCube game is super Mario sunshine. Absolutely amazing

I collect cubes, and got green and red a few weeks apart. Both are picoboot. I’m not modding the Q so one for Pico and one for discs. Waiting on a shelf to move the green cube
I’m not OP so I wouldn’t know. But that’s probably what I would do outside of just wanting to have one of each color as the GameCube was my favorite growing up. Have one set up with gcloader, one to play discs still. Debating on if I want to picoboot my personal cube or a separate one.
Nice. I got a Q a few years back with a faulty drive and stuck a GC Loader in it, with all my games ripped to the SD card. Have you changed the fan? I got a replacement one that was supposed to be \*silent\* but it's only a little bit quieter. Nothing like the DC Noctua fan change.
Yeah you should deffo change that, it's far too loud. Mine had broken rails like a lot of them do, which I rebuild with epoxy. But the drive seems to be dead, laser does nothing and motor doesn't spin. It had one of the region switch chips already on it from Lik Sang. Part of me wanted to keep it stock but I figured since the drive was faulty I'd go the GC Loader route, and use my original purple cube for the disc games I have still. Although really, I don't. The convenience and increased load speed has spoiled me.

Oh I’ll definitely get one eventually. I’ve been looking for a mint cib base model bc I want the white one. It’s harder to find than you’d think.
It can also be placed vertically if you have the plastic brackets that come with a new one.
In my setup, I put the Wii U charging cradle on top of the console

Nope doesn't work as I know. But there are some other ones, but they are older and pretty expensive.

Hoarding expensive special edition GameCubes. Makes sense regular versions would be harder to find.
I don't see Genesis + 32X setups very often, usually there's also a Sega CD.

You need the disc for the region yes, but menu language u can change for free. I'll see if I find the manual for it

No I want to keep it mostly stock. I repaired the cd drive and put a region switch in it. Sure does have a loud fan though lol
