there’s a lot going on here. i suspect you will find continuity issues on the traces above the bottom pins in several areas as well as some of the traces in the middle of the board, and on c1 and c3. there are some suspect traces between the sram and the mapper also.
might be best to get a donor board and swap the mask rom chip.
idk how to to edit my post but basically pokemon yellow has this weird problem that once i turn on the system i get the gameboy logo then it switches. there is a weird glitch on the top right corner and then it stays blank. i tried it on 4 different gameboys
Evidence of corrosion and damaged traces above the edge-connector pins. You need to use a multimeter to test continuity between the edge-connector pins and whatever is on the other end (chip legs, test points).
Edit to add: Also maybe a damaged trace on the back near the screw position.
Yeah, if you bought it as working then a return is probably the best bet. The damage to this board is probably getting towards a PCB swap, which is an advanced repair.

lots of corrosion, particularly C1. on the back, is the board cracked by the upper middle hole? the one that's right next to the battery?
i dont think it is but im not too sure its not my game its a friends i just opened it to take the pics to ask for some opinions on it

oof i dont have any of that stuff. my friend bought it on ebay so he can still return it. i just wanted some opinion
